David Saintloth, It's like you have a set for every shoe u got.. pff I hate people commenting get some , get some when u, yourself, most probably do not have. When you get so many allen edmonds - then u get to talk.. bruh
@@tbsproductions8662 Most shoe collectors do have shoe trees for every shoe, I personally have shoe trees for every stitched shoe that I own. Also is hard for one person to be knowledgeable on every matter, he knows a lot about fashion and watches but talking strictly about shoes he doesn't look to know much about it.
Get some shoe trees and I can't recommend the Hanger Project and the Elegant Oxford enough for shoe care routines. Your entire collection will look like it tripled in value and you will enjoy them much, much more. Thanks for all of the great content!
Top 5 from all categories 1) McAllister Allen Edmonds 2) Gommino Driving loafers 3) Stacy Adams Chelsea boots 4) Allen Edmonds Dalton Wingtip Dress Boot (of course) 5) Your tie!
I think you need at least a couple of shoe trees! I have a few shoes (not as many as you!) but I just circle the shoe trees around to let the shoes rest at least for 24-48 hours between removing the shoe tree and wear. It'll help the shoes last longer and keep a better shape!
Don’t take this the wrong way Brian, but your shoe collection is noticeable lower in quality than everything else in your wardrobe. I just find it interesting! Allen Edmonds are great, don’t get me wrong, but If you’re noticing a difference with the Bonafe pair, I think you’d stand to benefit from a few other brands in the upper tier (Carmina, TLB, Vass, Crockett and Jones, Edward Green, St. Crispins, etc.). Also, I know you love loafers, but really surprised to see you don’t have a single pair of Aldens in the collection. Alden loafers and boots are top notch and would be a great upgrade 👍
Lovely collection, interesting you have a knack for brown. The oxblood single strap is probably the most versatile shoe of them all, give him more praise.
I’m going to have to agree with Robin. Not only a lot of brown shoes but a lot dark brown shoes. I love how the shoes she bought you were the black watch plaid pair. I’ll have to admit that you have inspired me to buy Belgian shoes.
liked your outfit today, especially the shirt , tie, pocket square is spot on. also I have a pair of foot fitter shoe stretchers that i'm not using anymore … .. .
I have 12 pairs of sneakers, 13 pairs of casual & dress shoes, and two pairs of boots. Amazing how you can discover decent pair of near new footwear at Goodwill or 2nd Ave.👍🏿😊👟👞🥾
Nice to have so many great shoes but when you have wide feet like an 11.5 4E the choices are considerably smaller. Most designer shoes are made to fit a medium width. My two main shoe companies are New Balance and Dunham. Rockport also makes wide shoes, however Italian shoes are all out for me. These designers need to make wider shoes.
Bummed to not see more alternatives to leather in this. Nothing I’m vegan or anything, but there’s a lot of neat stuff that’s being done with fabric canvas etc. Right now my favorite kind of boot is what I would call the Safari boot, which is a combination of leather and some kind of canvas. I’m a big fan of the zip up boot overall, although usually they have a lace up as well as a zipper. I am also kind of curious how a standard boot would go with a suit. I suppose it would have to have a slim top, but some of the boots that you say that would go with a suit seems like it would be very hard to get the pant leg over them in order to keep them appropriate. That said, my dad had probably 100 pairs of boots that he would wear with slacks that would have a simple toe and a slim leg that probably fit inside a suit pant.
Don't really need over 20 pairs of shoes personally but power to you! To me 6-8 max is actually enough some ppl I'm sure can even do less depending on lifestyle. I'm trying to decide if I should go for suede loafers or spectators for Summer to replace my Toms within a couple years maybe if there are any around the $100 mark like the loafers I saw. Nice content!
You have a great versatile on point wardrobe. Really appreciate your style tips. But please take care of those shoes. You can get Allison Kirby to polish them and put some shoe trees in. But he is going to charge you alot per shoe.🙂🙂. Otherwise great channel. 👍
The Allen Edmonds Palm Beaches are great, I have them, I actually try not to wear them too often because I can't accept a compliment and I can't go out without someone saying something about them. I also think you may have inspired me to start making videos.
Looking like perfection today! You are my sartorial hero. As an aside, have you caught Trenton & Heath videos? The are cobblers and fans of Allen Edmonds.
My friend you have so many pairs of shoes….for all that you know about style…I’m surprised that you seem to have no shoe trees…..you need a pair of cedar shoe trees for each pair….yes!! Each pair of shoes that you own…including your leather and suede sneakers….perhaps you do have them but didn’t show them in the video…..if that’s the case I apologize….if not….please, please, please begin investing in a few pairs of trees until you have them in all of your shoes….Allen Edmonds has nice trees and it’s worth the $20.00 or so per pair…..
Hey Brian. Can you do a video on briefcases and bags? Low to high price points. I know you own a Filson, what about other brands like Bennett Winch or any other classics out there?
every man that's into fashion should have a pair of Gucci loafers in their wardrobe like a mont blanc fountain pen and Cartier cufflinks and cedar shoe trees.
@He Spoke Style I know this video is almost a year old but would you mind getting a pair of Thursday boots or shoes? I hear great things, but would definetly like your opinion considering the variety in you current collection. I'm coming from the standpoint of a young professional looking to get into quality apparel. Thank you for the videos!
Hi Brian. The collection is great. Thanks for such detailed video review. How many shoes, reasonable number of pieces need to have an ordinary 42 YO guy. Thank you!
Hi Brian, really nice collection of shoes! I have one question though: Why dont you use shoe tre.... just kidding ;D - can you tell me where you got the third pair of chelseas from or how you spell the brand's name? Thanks in advance, greetings from germany! :-)
also, I am a huge fan of the common projects and lanvin sneakers in general. as far as I know they were the first to put the shiny caps on to sleek mens sneakers, a very unique idea in my opinion :-)
@@hespokestyle Generally love your content but it's obvious that the non-suede (just because it stands out more) boots and shoes here aren't stored with shoe trees, and anyone that does keep trees in their collection knows you wouldn't choose to display them without them in! Edit: Also, Warwick is pronounced without the second 'w' - 'warrick'.
Exactly. I would rather have 5 pairs and love all of them and take care of them as if they re my children, than 50 without shoetrees and polishing them...
@@quietatse 100% worth it, not a gimmick or waste - they keep the shape of my shoes longer and prevent odor build up. Your shoes will thank you for them
@@quietatse Socks are No. 1, why socks: socks acts as a fill and you can fill and mold to perfection all the vamp area and majorly minimise the vamp creases, with shoe-trees forget about it. In regards to the odor you can wash the socks every 2 months or so to clean the socks from the odors and with shoe-trees you cannot.
Your attention to detail is so impeccabile I have to say I'm surprised at your lack of shoe care. The curling up at the front for your shoes is a dead giveaway of your no shoe tree use. Check out many of your fashion shoots, no matter how good the shoes they don't look good when they look like a leprechaun wore them. Shoe trees, polish and edge dressing for the soles. That said I really enjoy your content and your classic approach.
Agreed, i've noticed this in a few videos, the shoes are seriously off the rest of his outfit game. Poor shoes destroy even the best outfit, but amazing shoes can lift a basic outfit to a new level.
One question: MAN, WHY YOU DON'T USE SHOE TREES? :D This is kinda sad how they look because you don't keep them in shape :( . Amazing collection though !!!
Shoe trees aren’t meant to sit permanently in every shoe into perpetuity. After the wear of a particular shoe, having shoes trees in them for about 24 hours, to help the leather maintain its shape and for the cedar to absorb moisture is sufficient. With that said, just because his shoes aren’t shown with shoe trees in them, doesn’t mean he doesn’t use them.
-Hey Brian. Was looking forward to this one! Most of the pairs are beautiful. Some others are not my style. Nonetheless, great collection! -As many before me said, I do agree that your shoes need more care. 3 pairs of shoe trees will be enough, just rotate them around and the creases would be much less visible. And leather conditioner, cream, polish too. -digging the jacket and the tie. Cheers!!
