Was installing a brand new shower head and it was leaking just like this. Followed your advice and it stopped it right away!

Yes my shower does leak at the same spot you showed in this video BUT even more so it sprays a lot of water from the Hose leading to the Handheld unit. I like to use the handheld towards the end of my showers to rinse off down below but as soon as i turn the knob on the wall to activate the handheld unit the hose part just gushes and sprays water every which direction and barely any water makes it to the handheld unit itself because it's all coming out of the hose before it can reach the handheld. Why is this happening ? I hate it when I can't take a proper shower because of this issue and it is getting worse and worse with each shower. Making a watery mess too cause it sprays out of the shower it's so bad. Please Help !

Hi! What if it is leaking on one that was newly installed with the amount of teflon tape provided in the showerhead kit?

If I were to need a new washer, are these fairly universal in size?

Mine is doing this, but only when I use my filter attachment. Any regular attachment and its fine.

I'm used to doing metal showerheads with tape and all. This new shower head is plastic and delta says not to use the tape on their product or it will void the warranty. I can't stand plastic to metal applications. But can I use the tape because to damn thing is still leaking. 😡

I thought yellow tape was for gas and white tape for water?

I put the tape on in the wrong direction and now I’m out of tape and it’s still leaking😩

That tape is for gas fittings not water lines.

Not a useful video if something goes wrong, such as difficulty disassembling "frozen" parts, mineral deposits that don't simply brush off of the threads, or still leaking after completing the steps in the video.
