No way! That's so awesome. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. It means a lot to me. 😊 Let me know how it goes with Google Tasks. I feel like it's one of the lesser known features in Gmail. Good luck! 🙌

Random but do you have a lesson plan template simplified that you absolutely love?

Great question! I actually made a video on two different types. As a 5th grade teacher who has the same students all day, I like this template: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b14tfd31jbQ.html. But when I taught single subject middle school math, I preferred this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kPw3x33ofmA.html. The single subject one worked well since I taught the same course a few times a day. I like having an online template so that I can copy and paste items from year to year. But then I print it out so that I can write on it and add notes as needed. Hope that helps! ☺

I just came across your channel and love the tips you share! I would love to know more about how you use Google calendar. Are you using it like a day plan schedule or just blocking off the time for your schedule? If not for a day plan, what do you use for that?

What a great question! When I was an administrator and middle school teacher I used it more like a day planner. I would create appointment slots and reminders and pretty much have my whole day blocked out (like this video where I calendared to-dos as well). However, now I’m a 2nd grade teacher and am in the classroom the entire day. So I use Google Calendar more to remind me of after school meetings since I put all my to-dos during my prep time. My current weekly lesson plan looks like a very detailed day planner though - maybe I’ll make a video on that in the future!

I’ve just stumbled across your channel and love the tips. I start school to become a teacher in January. Any advice for new teachers in the making?

Thank you so much for watching! I'm actually in the process of creating a few videos focused on information for new teachers, so stay tuned! However, the best thing I did during my teacher credentialing program was to do my student teaching in a variety of grade levels. It was great to see the difference between how a Kindergarten class was run versus a 3rd grade or middle school class. Having exposure to different levels and teaching styles will definitely help you figure out which grade level you ultimately want to teach. Good luck and let me know how your program goes!

Haha! You must be a teacher if you're watching productivity videos until midnight. 😆 Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and subscribe. It's very much appreciated!
