JOSEPH and his husband Nathan have been together for 13 years. The couple are getting ready to welcome their twins into the world very soon. Joseph’s sister, Breeana, is carrying their babies. The family are excited for the new arrivals, however, they have faced a lot of negativity on social media including homophobic comments and outrage from people wrongly assuming the process was incestuous. Joseph said: “Some people were so excited like ‘ah this is so perfect you’ll be able to see her every day’... Some people thought ‘this is sick’, ‘you guys are freaks’.” Nathan added: “And they’re all adults that are making these comments. They’re the bullies.” The couple’s friend - Kortney - donated her eggs and Breeana is their gestational surrogate. Joseph said: “We don’t want to focus on the negative and I don’t try to give them any attention. We’re going to rise above.” Joseph and Nathan own a high end salon where Breeana and Kortney also work. The four have a close bond and celebrate all their achievements and share their story to empower others. Joseph said: “There are no words to describe the amount of gratitude I feel towards Kortney and Breeana.”

I see two selfish, entitled men. And two babies that will grow up without a mother. And I wonder how the sister dealt with the following months having given birth but with no baby to breastfeed and care for. Those guys spoke about how much the first miscarriage devastated them. Muliply that by 1000 for the sister - hormones are powerfuk things. And what about the egg donor? Hopefully the huge doses of hormones administered to her to promote the ripening of multiple eggs for harvesting won’t increase her chance of ovarian cancer, as has happened to previous egg donors. And who loves this the most? The agencies that facilitate surrogacy. It’s a huge multi-million dollar industry that needs to be stopped in its tracks.

My daughter in law was a gestational carrier in 2022, unfortunately the baby was stillborn. My sister’s daughter in law, signed up to be a gestational carrier at the same time as my DIL, sister’s DIL had a healthy pregnancy and the two husbands flew in from Germany to get their baby a year ago this month. My DIL is pregnant with her 4 the pregnancy, my 3 rd grandchild. I cried when baby Rohan died, I went through infertility and I was told I could never conceive & if I did, I couldn’t carry my babies full term. God works miracles, because my husband and I have 3 beautiful adult sons. Yes I did miscarry several times, I almost died from an ectopic pregnancy, In between my second and third son. 🙏😇

22+ yrs in nursing including floating across multiple specialties including ob/gyn. Ppl can disagree with me, but I want to share something interesting regarding this topic...more specifically what happens when a mothers blood type differs from their fetus's blood type.... Pregnant patients have a type & screen of their blood performed during their new ob appointment. If the mother tests Rh-negative she is given a medication called Rho-Gham at 26-28 wks to prevent what I'm about to explain. The mother's immune system treats Rh-positive fetal cells as if they were a foreign substance. The mother's body makes antibodies against the fetal blood cells. These antibodies in her blood may cross back through the placenta into the developing fetus's blood via the circulatory system. Those antibodies (from mom's immune system,) begin to destroy the baby's circulating red blood cells. Interpret it however you would like, but consider this... There are various types of DNA, from touch DNA to DNA found in bodily fluids. If the mother's immune system ends up attacking the baby's red blood cells, don't you think DNA is included during the transfer of her blood mixing with the fetus's blood? It's separate from genetics, but just something to think about. (If it was her brothers sperm & not his partners, he & his sister are siblings so they share DNA anyways. If she's RH Negative then the above can take place. Hope this makes sense.) Whether I agree with what they're doing or not, it's not my place to judge.

I don’t get the hate here. The sister is being a surrogate and supportive. Even if she were the egg donor (which she isn’t) even then whats wrong the issue. They are literally fertilizing the egg in a lab in a petridish! They seem like a loving couple who would give a child a good life, far better than some other straight people.

I could see an issue if she was the egg donor to her brother's sperm but that is for genetic reasons. If she was the egg donor to her brother-in-laws then no biggie. She currently is the surrogate so it doesn't have any genetic issues at all. People have a hard time separating their cultural, and religious upbringing, from their society and want to impose it on others, because they have a hard time empathizing that there might be a different way. I used to be that way. It is much easier now to see the good in people and see that these people just want to love children and they are more similar to the norm, then they are not.

The only issue is if the sister was the egg donor because that would cauSe genetic disorders, but they had a separate egg donor so there is no problem with that. As long as they love them who cares!

There is nothing yo celebrate and the newborns were miserable right away after birth and put into the arms of those pieces of $#!t pretending to be women. They are pretty aware of the fact that the babies will carry DNA from all 4 of them. They just don't want to acknowledge it. That is the reason why his sister had a miscarriage. Now, she will give birth to the babies but, they will be at the risk of having diseases, not just because of the sister but because of all of them being the parents.

I like them. It's clear the babies are going to grow up with a fantastic support system, both from their parents, aunts and the rest of the family. I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes swimmingly and the babies are healthy and happy.

My husband and I have been together for 34 years and raised 2 wonderful children. We didn't give the haters and bigots the time to even express their opinions. Our kids are so supportive and understanding, and their the first ones to speak call out racism, antisemitism, homophobia, or xenophobia.

@Rin22730 NO, they have two fathers and have no interest in their biological parents. They are actually very happy being raised by two dads. They have no problem putting anyone in their place who speaks negative of having two dads.

There’s no problem with his sister being the surrogate. But, choosing an egg donor that close to you, is insane. Those babies are gonna have so many questions as they grow up, and they’ll soon find out that their biological mom is someone that’s around quite a bit?! Weird.

Child a child b daddy and daddy both wanted a child and daddy friend aunt courtney allowed that to happen. Then aunt carried you to bring you home to us. If the pagents deem it top explain similar to adopted children they younger it is explained to their age level the easier it is to go as your older that dads needed help.

Having a known egg or sperm donor can be difficult. Having unknown egg or sperm donor can be difficult. Having a dead beat dad can be difficult. Being adopted can be difficult. These children have 4 loving people in their lives, that is way more than most kids get.

She was only the incubator, it's not her egg lol did you not watch the video? To be"Mummy"that means she has to be...... the mom. SHe's not the mom. The best friend who was unpacking the baby stuff is the bio mom. Science means anyone can incubate if they're healthy. I saw a video of a 70+grandma who incubated for her daughter with her daughter's egg(& partner of course). Baby came out fine.. some ppl just can't carry for one reason or the other.
