It's her choice, but if it where up to me I would give a limited Second chance. The family can't revert back to their past views and act the same. This will take time.

Amy should give them another chance. Forgiveness can be a good thing.

If I was another person in this story I would've broken ties with Amy and told her not to contact me anymore or not only I would get law enforcement involved but also the state bar and file an ethics complaint. Her refusing forgiveness to her sister Mary and her parents violates everything I believe in with my faith and I cannot ignore this. So if she was to play unforgiving, then I would abandon Amy to misfortune, loss and poverty. I'd remind her of the curse of Proverbs 24:19-20 as it may be her family being forgiven by God but not her ever as she refuses to forgive others ever, especially her blood family most of all as scripture requires regardless of one's personal feelings.

The script is one of confusion. First the future Mother in law says she never knew that her soon to be daughter in law Mary had a sister. Then later on she says Mary always painted a different picture.
