My Sister Moved Into A Church! 

I actually know the people who renovated THIS church and sold it to the current owners. They had to do a TON of work to make it look like this. Happy to see people appreciating all their work. 😊

Love that front door! Dream of doing that myself. That "robe closet" may have been for choir robes as some have suggested but given it's location in the bathroom, it was more likely for the baptismal robes. Beautiful reno!

Amazing. Thank you. "Baptismal pool" is what that tank is called. The gowns would have been used for the baptism ceremony itself. Baptists don't use special garb for anything else.

She's never late to service on Sunday mornings. heehee or the entire congregation shows up saying what are you doing in our church in your PJs? lol

I find it strange that some people would be paranoid about living in a church. First of all it’s a building and has no supernatural powers, just looks cool. I’d move into one one anytime and the first movie I’d play would be the exorcist! 😭

Nice place. For those of you who don't know the sign that says "set your mind on things above" would have originally been used to display numbers for each of the songs in the songbooks so that people could sing.

4:24 Choir Robes I think is what you were looking for. I grew up Baptist it would have been Choir robes. I always dreamed of buying my church I grew up in and turning it into a home like that how cool is that? I hope you love your new place.

Those kids can say they literally grew up in church. I love the whole great room thing she's got. It's the opposite of my house. Our floor plan is claustrophobic. I can see where the kids sleep but missed where the mom sleeps. If it were me I'd want to have my own bedroom.

Remembering me in to "Alice's restaurant' and Guthrie songs..( Being old..having only "remembering" to share..even not been America for once! ) Alice's restaurant (in a church) making me awake again.. Not in a positive way , more the other way.. The 60 being once in the past..the 60 having powerful functions now.. Reaching what? See the news! But liking to make a church your home.. in 2020! Keeping some past in honor..A church still being, having a family inside. (I'm not a believer at all ! Only .. happy to find the construction as having a live to live in it..like in Alisa's Restaurant in the 60.. Good luck..

I am more than happy that she has a good home now, but That does not take away my saddness for the fact that for it to be up for sale to make it into a home, that it must have been out of use for a while. That alone makes me sad. again, happy for the home she has now, but still saddened for the disuse of a community's house of worship.
