Hi Cassie! I hope you’re doing well and staying safe! I have a video suggestion, I’d love to see you try that tik tok trend that’s been going around where you moisturize the skin, powder it, set it, and then do your makeup routine like normal after. It’s supposed to be life changing and I’d love to see you try it since you tend to get oily throughout the day and this is supposed to make your makeup last all day! Love your videos ❤️

Ivy Swain I do this and you’re really only supposed to do it in your tzone, using a damp sponge and not a ton of powder and REALLY press it in. And you only should do it if you’re SUPER oily which Cassie is so it might work! It’s a real makeup artist trick but tik tok made it more popular and some people are doing it all over your face and using FAR too much powder which just ends up making you look cakey. So if she does do it I hope she doesn’t just go off of those people.

When I do this I don't even need a lot of foundation, if any at all. My skin feels light and so much better than heavy foundation (which I can't stand).

Hello there! Fellow oily girl here! I recently went to Sephora to pickup some more Laura Mercier primer and found that they’ve completely redid their line! I went ahead and got the “smoothing” primer that also gives a matte finish. Wowza was I impressed! I’d love to hear your experience with it! Laura’s primers are the only ones that don’t break me out. Stay safe out there!

I've never been able to see enough benefit of any primer honestly to wear under my foundation, I'm an oily girl too, with acne prone sensitive skin just like you Cassie but I just don't get the primer, but if I don't wear foundation and just primer with powder on no makeup-makeup days I do notice a difference then 🤷‍♀️ weird but just the way I've noticed

I always especially appreciate reviews from fellow acne havers. I LOVE the CC Cream so when I saw the primer on a 50% sale is HAD to buy it. Even got the setting spray because no other brand has given me so much security. Now just to wait for the moisturizer to go on sale!!

You should try the improved formula for Hard Candy 16 hour wear Glamoflauge foundation. Make sure its the one with the pink lid and doe foot applicator. Its super full coverage and don't need a lot but just a warning, it does need to be set or it stays tacky.

On the first day did you really not need to use concealer with the Believe foundation ? When I see other people use it they still go ham with concealer so I can never tell what type of coverage it actually has. I don’t like full coverage so obviously necessary info 😉. Thank you!

I'm liking Bareminerals BB cream, maybe the Light color will not work for you but they do make clear too. It seems to be working out well, hard to believe because I am SO OILY.

I'm in my sixties, so my skin is an oily anymore, but my freaking eyelids are! I haven't had any makeup on in a few days, but my eyelids are disgusting! I think I'll start putting on eyelid primer even on days when no one is going to see me, which is most days.

Ooh, I had an idea for the primer tests! If you test more primers in the future, maybe you could use foundations you've reviewed recently and insert a clip of the foundation post wear test, both with and without primer, next to the post-test clip of the currently tested primer. That way it'll be really clear to see how that same foundation works compared to the foundation on its own & maybe compared to your HGs? Hope this makes sense. Also, have you considered trying j-beauty products? I know you love Japanese culture, so I think it might be fun to see how you get along with some cult fave Japanese beauty items. Kikumasamune, Senka, Lululun & Softymo all have affordable & accessible, gentle, acne-friendly products that are available on Amazon. It might be worth a look!

I would be curious how it would work on your oily skin in the hotter weather... maybe do a followup during the summer. It Cosmetics doesn't work for me. Everything I try out just doesn't mesh with my skin. I'm 47 with oily skin. Not my fave company to shop with but I do like their no tug eyeliner and lipsticks :). Glad you tested this and I appreciate the video after a multiple day/wear test review! So much easier to get an idea of something after multiple tries.

Glad to know I'm not alone. I got the kit from their infomercial. All but 1 item was a bust for me. You know their foundation that covers everything? Well I have a small light brown birthmark on my chin. It didn't even come close to covering it, lol. Their mascara? It did something really funky to my lashes that lasted a few days. I have long, black, curly, fairly thick lashes and that mess made them go stick straight. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, lol. The one thing that did work was the dual head brush. I love that thing. I did give them another chance after reading reviews on their gel no tug eyeliners. It was such a good deal that I didn't want to pass up (got both the black and brown for just a few dollars more than what you would pay for just one). Those eyeliners work better on me than the Marc Jacob's one did. Other than that I stay far away from any of their products...

Maybe since your not doing your make up, maybe you change how you wash your face and maybe stopped double cleansing? I know if I slack off on my nightly routine I see those results.

I see a total difference with the Bobbi brown especially, you should try the it cosmetics oil free foundation with the primer included.... I get my make on QVC you can return after 30 days if u don't like it which is genius for skin care

I have evenly oily skin & large pores. I love most It Cosmetics products but this primer did not control the oils and around the 6-7 hour mark of wear my skin looked as if the foundation and the primer separated making every single pore more visible, I'd say exaggerated looking. I tried it a few times edith different foundations, same result. My skin looked better without any primer. Mind you I tried it with and without moisturizing my skin, it didn't make a difference. Thanks for your honesty.

Never use primer. Not one that I’ve tried has done anything noticeable for me. Love the it cosmetics cc plus foundations-at first-but they just don’t wear well, unfortunately. Basically I’m done with the brand.

Suzy Q have you ever tried their celebration illumination cc foundation? I can’t wear any of their other foundations but holy cow that one is amazing and so is their illumination powder foundation. Go figure, right? Oh and my skin is aging 45 years old, combo type , combo/dry.

Stephanie Keith, yes I’ve tried both of those. They look beautiful at first, but the longevity just isn’t there for me. I need a foundation to last more than 4 hours. I have combination skin (normal, oily t-zone).
