Dearest Susan, you are so blessed to have had a husband who told you how pretty you are, many times. I have been married, like forever to a man who never compliments me on anything. Never has told me that I am pretty, or anything like that. But, just a few days ago, I was in Kohl’s and a really sweet woman, I would guess in her late 40’s, - stopped me and said, “You are so pretty, everything about you, you are simply stunning.” I am 76. I nearly fell over and I teared up, gave her a hug and thanked her. As I was getting into my car, she was exiting the store on the way to her car. I waved to her and she smiled and waved back. I think she was my ‘angel’ that day and I will be forever grateful for such a gift. 😇

Hi Susan, you certainly do look fantastic. I've never smoked or been a heavy drinker and I have tried to take care of my skin. But when my husband started his affair 8 years ago with a woman 10 years older than me that knocked me in all ways. I thought what's the point in me doing all this self care when he wants someone 10 years older than me,. So I threw away all my make up and skin care products and now I regret doing that as I don't have the money to replace what I had. I feel completely different now and I'm looking at my food cupboard to try and make some skincare products. It's watching you and your videos that have helped me in so many ways so thank you. Growing up all my mother ever used on her face was Noxema and witch hazel. On her body she always always used Jergans lotion. That's it. She passed away at 86 and her skin still looked amazing, hardly a wrinkle. So I have been using exactly what she used and at 62 I think I'm looking pretty good, thanks mom. P.S. My son 50 had a massive stroke 2 days before CHRISTMAS he’s still in a rehabilitation facility learning how to feed himself and walk again. It’s amazing how much we can handle and we think we’re so weak. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your house!

I’m 62 and you hit home with the beauty industry trying to makes us mature ladies feel less than if we God forbid show our age. I do want to look my absolute best but at the same time I want to be valued for me. I don’t want to feel as though I’ll only attract a boyfriend if I have cosmetic surgery etc. Let’s be real, my future beau isn’t going to look 20 years younger than he is either lol. We all age, but nothing can take away our essence of “pretty”. One question, I bought the rose hips oil but at what point in your routine do you apply it? After serums but before moisturizers? I use my Rosehip at night as my very last step and in the morning It's the first thing I use...then I get in the shower and use my serum and Vit C serum. I mix on 1 tiny drop of Rosehip with my foundation if I am wearing makeup that day....or pumpkin seed oil...my skin drinks it in!
I've been using Susan's tip of a drop of Rosehip oil with my foundation since I heard it, it's wonderfully hydrating, gives a dewy finish which I love.
I've read all of your comments and I agree with each of these ladies -- you inspire me each and every time. A special wish for Darlene: remember hat the liver is the only organ we have that can completely regenerate itself so don't give up hope. Susan, you are going to love whatever home you choose. I live in Michigan with my dog, Archie (the white version of Desi) in a small house that is warm and safe and on rainy, icey days like today we like to cuddle in the big chair together and say 'aren't we lucky to have our nice safe little house to share." I love the joha, & rose hip seed oil, & I love the ROC products ! Wow such an improvement !!! I'm 74 & have used these for years. ..I quit smoking 12 years ago & my skin now looks great !! You keep up with those products, they will keep you young !!! Another note of encouragement....i have 2 grandaughters in their early 20s... Ok Desi is posing very nicely for the camera, it seems he's used to this routine at the end of the video. Susan don't be sad for the decisions that many many women make when buying high end tools. That's what makes them happy and what's working for them, what works for you may not work for others. Some woman don't take care of themselves and then it's a race for rejuvenation. Some of the products and tools do work for some, so don't be sad it's an investment for them. You look fabulous and your taking real good care of yourself and look at you buying your own home. I know I'm in the same boat, it was always everybody else's home but I'm looking for my own home so this really resonated with me. I don't usually comment but tonight I just felt inclined to. I love your videos and feel like I have a dear friend when I watch them. I am emotional tonight because I am realizing how lucky I am. I was hit by a drunk driver Sunday afternoon. A little banged up but thankful for my guardian angel working overtime. Realizing less than 48 hrs ago I was almost killed. The state trooper said he was doing approx 100-120 mph. I was sideswiped from behind, almost flipped my car. Still very emotional when I think of what could have been. I really related to this. I am 63 and work in retail where people I don't know often comment that I'm pretty...mostly children and their mothers. I don't feel particularly blessed with beauty, but my skin care and simple makeup routine help me feel more confident. Smiling and eye contact are really what people notice. The first time I went to Traverse City I kept seeing what I thought were black cats everywhere. It turned out they were black squirrels! I’d only ever seen brown squirrels. I guess I’d lived a sheltered life. 😊 My life is even more sheltered now because I am the sole caregiver for my husband who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at a very early age. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Pretty is a simple and quick response to what makes us happy about what we see that impresses us. Like a compliment worthy of our comment to acknowledge something we don’t want to forget about what we have seen. A lot of what we experience with our skin is genetically predisposed. I am 68 and my Irish/English skin coloring and texture is fair and fragile on windy, crisp days. I never smoked and was always cautious about sun exposure but never really worked at preserving what I experience with the aging process we all endure. Gravity, polluted air exposure, too little sleep and what we eat are factors that cause the greater part of “timelessness” we observe in the mirror. It is what comes from how you feel inside that puts the best “final polish” on your face and skin. Thank you for the product suggestions and for the routine of care you share with us. You are a natural beauty who does not need to work too hard to look as lovely as you do. You are beautiful. Smiling often and expressively causes many of those wrinkles which creates the beauty and character in any face you see. Your camera always captures true beauty in any form especially those of black and white. Keep sharing and exploring the beauty you see beyond the skin care regimen. It surely feels good to spoil ourselves with caring about our skin and how it makes us look on the outside. Hi Susan last Friday at the age of 73 I moved into a house I bought in France, I am from England (half Irish half French) although don’t speak French very well, so wow that’s what’s happening in my life. It’s Tuesday 21st Feb so been here in my beautiful house for 4 days and loving it, I’ve been watching the wild life in the beautiful woodland garden.
