My theory is that the doctor wanted to test on Julian, but the mother didn't let him. So the doctor sent to kill the parents, to be able to either adopt or kidnap Julian and run some tests. But after Julian heard g@nshots he hid, after the killer looked around, but assumed Julian was not in the house and left. Okay, so throughout the mini movie and the comment section there are some things I would like to address for anyone willing to read this. I have sleep paralysis episodes quite frequently and I also study different mental illnesses as a hobby, so I'm just going to share my knowledge on the topic. Please don't use what I say to self-diagnose and if you experience symptoms please consider talking to a health professional. 1. We have to think of what sleep paralysis is. It is different for everybody and can have different causes and symptoms. But a basic definition of sleep paralysis would be an episode in which some can not speak or move while either falling asleep or waking up. Some people believe it is 'seeing a demon' or 'scary shadow monster' or something like that. Although that may be the case for some, it isn't for others, so please understand sleep paralysis isn't just 'seeing things.' It can be caused by a lot of things but the main causes are usually: PTSD, Insomnia, Narcolepsy, General Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, or a family history of Sleep Paralysis. Please be respectful of others and do not tell them that what they are experiencing is invalid. 2. What this video is portraying is not sleep paralysis. The main focus of sleep paralysis is that one can not move or speak, since the main character talks to his 'demon' it isn't sleep paralysis. However, this video is portraying things common to schizophrenia, or schizoaffective disorder. 3. If you are going to make a video or article on anything related to mental illness, please do your research. A lot of negative stigma about mental illness often comes from the media, and it would be easier to erase the stigma if people were educated on the topic they are talking about. 4. Please put a warning before the video just for the most obvious possible triggers. I wanted to see what this video was about so I put my headphones on and began to watch it, the gun shot sounds triggered some really bad memories for me. Maybe you could just put a simple warning at the start like: This content will contain sleep paralysis episodes, a shooting, murder, loud noises, etc. 5. This type of content may seem 'wholesome' and 'cute' to some but it is just downright offensive. I wish no hate to the author, because they probably put a lot of time and effort into making this video and may not be educated on the topic of sleep paralysis. Please stop making mental illness romantic. ADHD is not 'quirky' anxiety is not 'cute', these aren't topics to make a whole romantic story about. If you are to make a story with these things it is of course absolutely fine, as long as you have facts and trigger warnings just in case. Okay I'm done, thanks to anyone who read this.
