Congrats on the place man, looks incredible. I’m in my first year in sales (started in august) estimated to make around $150k. My OTE was 50-60k, so very humbled to have the amount of success that I have. You’re definitely right, you start to not care as much about spending money on ubers / food etc, and I’m naturally a saver trying to be financially independent as well.
Hey Trent I’m currently applying for a SDR job. I watch your videos religiously. I know I would be a great fit for the company and would happily assume the role of a sales rep proudly, my only concern is actually getting the job. What advise would you give to a fellow 24 year old trying to nail the interview knowing they’ll thrive if given the opportunity?
If you wanna get a job I advice you to do this : 1. Create a pipeline of companies you wanna work with. 2. Create a script to convince them to hire you, and another for Interviews. 3. Identify the possible objections they may say and find good answers to handle them. 4. Train for It. 5. Pick up the phone and start calling everyday all day. Also 1. Identify and eliminate all limited believes In your mind that are stoping you. ( Sales Is a mind game ) 2. Don't let rejection affect your performens. ( Otherwise you'll fail even before you start In that field ) 3. Remember, you either convince them why they should hire you, or they convince you with whatever reason why they can't.
all of the money earned from channel is being re-invested, glad you are enjoying the editing! Great hanging with you last night on the members live call!
Awesome man! So much work is there. So bad that it is only possible in US. In the Netherlands, the best performers can have 3% to 10% promotion ANNUALLY…. Too hard to have a chance to make six figures before you rich 35-40 y.o. Even if you do, 52% taxes will kill it
Thanks for the content my man. I was about to get back into the Real Estate industry until i came across your video's. I was totally unaware of the job role and the opportunity involved in the industry. I am now going to get myself a job in software sales located Sydney, Australia. I have 3 years experience in Real estate but i will definitely adjust my resume, again thanks to you and your RU-vid content. Thanks mate ill let you know when achieve this goal and get into the tech industry as a sales rep. Fuck yes so excited
This is great inspiration for a new AE like myself also selling software for an email security company. My question for you, is it possible for you to make a fully furnished apartment tour?
Trent u got me hyped man. That place looks absolutely beautiful! Been here since 400 subs, amazing to see your growth. Starting my SDR role next to next week
Hi from UKRAINE, Trent This video is really inspiring!!!! I am in sales as well, but not in IT. I work for a manufacturing company and I sell equipment (machinery) For the last days, I have been thinking about changing careers to switching from machinery sales to Software sales. the remote job here nowadays is the way to survive)) And I think that software sales can be a good idea. What would you recommend to read or watch at the beginning of software sales ?? Thank you
my quota for this year is 1.25 mill. MY OTE is 35k LOL. WTF. Last year it was 250 8 months pro rata and 35k quota. Its not making sense. This is ridicously below industry standard right?!
This channel is all value. I have learned so much and feel less intimidated about tech and AI. I can see the parallel to artificial intelligence and humanity. He is so good.
$2700/mo bro?? That’d be at least $5k here in Denver. Just dove into your channel for the last 30 minutes and love what you’re putting out man. I’m an inside sales rep currently and on track to be an AE within the next 6 months and your content gets me stoked to be the best I can be. Also love your awareness with the “oh brother this guy stinks” SpongeBob clip lol. A lot of people can interpret this as bragging but you’re just what’s the point of owning nice things if you don’t show them off. Cheers man
that is a good question, I focused more on execution than strategy/self-dev, start doing the work and then identify gaps to work on as you go, focus on taking action
Hi Trent thank you so much for making these videos I am currently working in Real Estate thinking of switching to a software sales career and I find your videos really helpful please keep posting

Hi I'm a transitioning military Officer and while doing my research for my next career I found your video. I really want to start a sales career, I have interpersonal skills but am completely inexperienced in selling products. The reason I want to join sales is that I want to develop a new skill that will help me in the future to obtain financial freedom. Have you stumbled upon any veterans in your career and how do they have adapted to the tech sales environment?
I met someone in sales for a DoD contractor (obvious fit for vets) and they were making serious money right out of the gate. Go for something that you have a leg up on to start. They're looking for people like you.
If you're interested in starting a career in tech sales, I'm the instructor at CourseCareers where I put together the most in depth course teaching people how to break into tech sales without a degree or previous experience required. Loving it. Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m planning a career switch and was contemplating something in tech. Your videos have helped me plan a point of attack.
@@TrentDressel dude it's hard with an 8 month old and a mortgage in Toronto. But I would reckon it wouldnt be a steep learning curve as a SDR/BDR to account Rep. Plus pharma caps at around $180k Canadian. I'm gonna do it you have convinced me.
