I like the fact that you go on a walking tour, pop a croissant out of your pocket, go through a hailstorm and tour a chocolate factory. talk about being versatile! What fun! Ash, all the best!
Thanks for repping solo female Travellers! I’m heading to Zurich in a month so I took lots of notes. Looking forward to your next videos from this city.
The language is different' - 4 to choose from...... got you going a bit entering different towns with the languages! 2.40(the name of that shop - LOL) Enjoyed the experience! Liked the way you pronounced the word .....croissant !
This is so enjoyable and interesting too. You seem so happy traveling and exploring on your own; quite inspiring. Zurich looks so charming. I love to go on that chocolate tour. Thanks!
Lovely video Ash you are always smiling even though the weather was horrendous for you. I love Lindt chocolates coconut, amaretto & cappuccino are just 3 of my favourites . If you ever get back to the UK they do have Lindt outlets in some shopping malls where you can purchase lots of different flavours . X
Oh yes the coconut Lindt is divine Ashley 😅 We have a Lindt chocolate store where not far from us. We treat ourselves 1 a year to some of those chocolates 😋😋. Stunning views ❤ eek you standing under a tree with the thunder storm, hailstones 😮 such a shame the weather got worse. That Great your getting to met some viewers from Switzerland ,get to see where they live etc have an amazing time . Looking forward to to your next video Have a Good Easter weekend 🥰
Ashley your laugh is infectious!! I was cringing (thunder) & laughing with you during the storm! You are living your best life keep it up. Excellent fun video! ~Cara ❤
Such a fun day Ashley, I loved the chocolate tour and the views. The weather seems really unpredictable, but I could totally see a rey of sunshine among the clouds and that's your beautiful smile, every time I watch one of your videos I find myself smiling too, your smile is so catching 😊❤
Love this video! I miss that exciting feeling of being in a new country. Your love for travel is so inspiring. I can’t wait to see more of Switzerland from your eyes!
Fun! I had my 2 year old with me so we had a blast at the tram museum and we took the train up to Uetliberg for views of the city. Also loved the boat tour!
Seems like the wacky Swiss weather could give the UK a run for its money LOL. I was abit nervous when you were standing under that tree with the storm happening. Anyway very cool Ash! Cheap doesn't come easy in that country for sure. The choccy museum tour was definitely a sweet highlight!
Despite the crazy weather, it seems you had a great time in Zürich. 😀 I did similar free walking tour few years ago and was great. Very informative. Lindt Home of Chocolate is always awesome and yummy experience too. Though at the time of your visit was much crowded than when I was there last. 😀 Also, when in Zürich you can safely store your luggage in the lockers at the main train station. 😉 Great vlog Ashley! 👍
I've been to approx 25 countries including most of Western Europe and still haven't made it to Switzerland yet! It's a must visit - expensive but so worth it. I really want to take a train there from Italy.
This showed up in my suggestions and I clicked on it because I liked your vibes and also because I was interested to see what you would do in Zurich! :D I hope you had a great day!! I live nearby, in Winterthur, so it was fun to see the city with fresh eyes!
Well done Ash on arranging a chocolate history tour in a building whilst it was raining outside. 😅 This is one of my favourite travel blogs you have done.
This what I love about living in Europe. Easy travel. I live in the north west of England. I once dashed from work with a few friends and got a plane from Liverpool airport to Barcelona. Later that evening we were having a meal in a restaurant in Barcelona.
I loved everything about this! You made the city look so charming and so fun. Switzerland is on my list and, believe it or not, a chocolate tour wasn't on there... So I've fixed that now! 😅 ETA your little chocolate dance is too cute! Haha
I love Zurich her and Zermatt. I was there in September. It was amazing. I bought a swatch as well as I took a chocolate class at the Lindt chocolate factory. I highly recommend going to Zermat it is beautiful!
A wise man said "there's no such thing as bad weather. Just the wrong clothes". I always imagined Washington state as being the same as Europe weatherwise in spring. Very interchangeable? You're getting spoiled with all this barcalona sunshine.🙂 Chocolate forgives all. Yum.
I can totally relate to not liking the prices there. It's ridiculous what you pay just for a sandwich. Beautiful place but I can't enjoy a place where the prices make me sick 😁
It's part of the experience, you should still be able to enjoy it. To save money I would go to a supermarket and buy things to make my own sandwich/picnic. I haven't made it to Switzerland yet but it can be a once in a lifetime trip, and I'll certainly be trying lots of food as that's how you best get to know a country and it's culture!
That chocolate tour is something I would like to do too, I'm a huge fan of chocolate. I have also tasted those 2 Lindt chocolate you tasted but they were not my top 1 chocolate from Lindt. Earlier we had a Lindt outlet shop here in Finland in the outlet village Zsar at the Russian border but the whole outlet village is closed now because of the situation in the Europe. Did you know that the best chocolate in Finland Fazer sininen (Fazer blue) Karl Fazer's son Sven got the recipe from Switzerland in the 1920's after he help his friends relative to get an appointment to a good eye doctor.
You've been living in Spain too long and rain and hail have become a novelty. Using IIII instead of IV for 4 dates back to the early days of clockmaking as most people were illiterate and it avoided confusion with VI and the numerals base are/were towards the centre of the face so from IIi to IX are/were upside down when viewed. Still used today as traditional. Most major train stations have a left luggage office or lockers, you should have looked at the station. There is more Gold in London than Zurich as what is there is more than likely to be illegal as is the cash. Even today Swiss banks are very secretive and a Swiss High/Supreme Court order needed for access to details of account holders and contents. Not easily obtained even by the Police.
Zurich is boring.I was in Switzerland last July to hike. Hiking is wonderful. I'm going back this July to do more hiking. However I will be in and out of Zurich.
I absolutely loved this! So glad you took my advice on the chocolate factory on a previous comment yay!! 🎉 I especially am glad you chose Lindt! And to answer your question about if I have tried the strawberry chocolate I would have to say the closest to it was Neopolitan flavor here in the USA for Easter was AMAAAZING!!! Lindt is my favorite chocolate of all! ❤ 2nd question, what would I do whilst there? I think check out some of the local food again cause I felt like I didn't explore this enough when me and my hubbybwerr last there and 2nd thing would be " From Zurich: Day Trip to Grindelwald & Interlaken." They are both Stunning places!!! There is also the thermal baths! That would be amazing in Zurich to see or a 2 hour sight seeing bus tour? ❤
