I will say the league now is way more athletic thanks to the the league embracing the street culture of basketball. From what I've checked out in the Golden Era no one can even compare to the players nowadays when it comes to how they dribble and dunk.

Back then, a solid defense would fuck you up to stop you from scoring, nowadays they can't even graze you, thus it makes it easy for players to rely on technique and athleticism alone. Guys like Bird were exceptional because he would play at his own pace and impose his game on the opposing teams despite the roughness of the overall game.

And this was when free agency was in its infancy. I'm 30 minutes north of Boston, love Larry Legend, and have run the gauntlet goat debate enough times to keep it short and sweet. Larry Bird had 9 healthy seasons in the NBA at its competitive peak. Those 9 seasons hold their own against NBA Legends. LeBron won his 1st title in his 9th season. Bird revolutionized the game more than anyone in history. Want proof? It's given whenever someone takes a 3 across the league. LeBron revolutionized free agency. Do you enjoy 3pt daggers and 4pt plays? What about free agency? If so, do you live in NYC, Miami, or California? One changed the game and elevated the game of his teammates into Hall of Fame Careers. The other changed the league, elevated his team in the off season, with his mates who at minimum were in discussion for the Hall of Fame.

LeBron switches teams to put himself in the perfect situation to win. He can't get a ring without being on a super team. The heat was a built super team and when they couldn't win he left them.

Absolutely. What this kid's doing is like if I were to have said when I was his age, "Jim Brown and OJ Simpson couldn't play in the same era as Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, or Tyrell Davis." I would just be running my mouth to hype up the era I grew up watching. If someone were to say, "Jerry Rice wouldn't be a top receiver in the same era as Antonio Brown, or Odell Beckham Jr," people would think you're either a straight up fool, or that you're someone who can't be taken seriously as the truth isn't in you. Obviously when you're young you have a certain level of immaturity, but this kid needs to realize that as he grows into being a man, that not being someone to own obvious truths to the point of adamantly pushing an lie is not a manly thing, and is in fact a very feminine trait even though I'm not promoting for women to do that way either. I wonder if 10 years after Lebron retires if people will still be trying to make him out to be the greatest player ever. My guess is that his ranking to start to drop as people start to move past him as they start to forget and move beyond the LBJ hype and are able to make a serious analysis. With that said this is y'alls channel, and you should and can run it as you please, but like me for example I couldn't finish this video as there was just nothing but disingenuous false claims being promoted by the young man. And Bird is just right before my time following the NBA. I was a Jordan fan growing up and started watching it seriously in the 91/92 timeframe.

You're laying it on more than a bit thick like you hold your own opinions, bias or lack there of on a pedestal. Like some form of basketball guru. I'm not saying I disagree though, only if you were actually trying to get through to someone, which you weren't so don't where that guise, you wouldn't be so damn condescending. If I had to sum up this comment in one word, it would be "condescending". A longer summarization would be "using the truth and facts to be passive aggressive". Over-all, not a very good comment, and definately not a comment to be taken at face-value.

If I didn't like Mike Tyson, and I made a reaction video of a Tyson highlight tape, and I claimed that all the modern day heavyweights would beat him easily, and that if I was just 20-30 heavier that I could of beat him down then neither you or anyone else would take what I was saying seriously, and you sure wouldn't subscribe to my channel because I'd just be talking BS and running my mouth. That or I'm just a total delusional idiot. And no I'm not fanboying out over Bird. This video could be about Glenn Rice for all I care. I like Bird as much as any other NBA great I've never watched in real time. I grew up watching Jordan, Shaq, Penny, AI, TMac, Kobe, Carter, etc. I'm not a sports guru on anything. I'm an adult, and am not a sports analyst. I don't have time to invest that much energy in becoming an expert on any sport. I enjoy watching sports, but I don't claim to be the biggest expert in any sport. I do know Bird is one of the greatest basketball players to ever do it though, and I do have a higher opinion of Bird than LBJ, and that's not based on Lebrons talent, but his mindset. As far as me being condescending or passive-aggressive what are you trying to say? How am I being condescending. I'm saying this kid's talking chit and he knows he's not being honest. If I am being passive-aggressive I really don't care I guess. I don't get into all this modern terminology where people claim someone's being passive-aggressive, or has too much toxic masculinity, or whatever else. I mean what are your pronouns?
