My Soul a Canvas
By Todd Stalter
Item: 00-47291
Series: Alfred Concert Band
Format: Conductor Score & Parts
Grade: 3
This piece represents feelings of solitude, loneliness, confidence, determination, and conflict. The central theme's rhythm is built on a sad soul's name, solos for the instrument she played, and her love of nature and art.

The meaning behind it was sad but the way he put the amount of love in this piece I know he must’ve loved that student

Nice piece and whoever played the flute solo in this recording has a great tone

@@jayd8536 yeah, my director didn’t tell us till the end of the year, with that, the Composer loved our rendition of the piece and that it fit the meaning of the piece

I remember playing this my sophomore year, it's been stuck in my head ever since and I've finally found it!

Not the crackhead energy we usually get from Todd Stalter in the beginning, but definitely a part that’s well enjoyed

I hope someone from the Richwoods band sees this comment. And when they do I want them to see this phrase ( They’ll know what it means ) “Am I In Trouble?” “Not Yet” Also- This is such a beautiful song!

I really love the lyrical section at the beginning and end. Not a super fun of everything in between. I get where he was going with it. But I feel the lyrical section could stand alone as it’s own piece.

Everyone knows it's not a todd stalter piece unless you go over 150 bpm at some point, so that beginning was unexpected but beautiful.
