Thank you for you thorough review, by far the best on RU-vid. I was trying to decide on Vizio or Samsung and I went with the Vizio elevate based on your review and the sub woofer is better.
Great review. You're the only person I've found who actually let us hear the sound including the Subwoofer. How's it working out for you? I just purchased it on Amazon and it will be here Saturday. Can't wait.
Really nice in depth review .I have a question for you . In the video you plugged in ps5, chrome cast and 1 other . Why do this rather than just plugging directly from ps5 itself too tv . Or same for chrome cast . Is there any advantages or disadvantages , when doing this ?
Mine is hooked up to that exact TV and they pair up just fine. What you may be thinking is that certain Sony soundbars will work in conjunction with the internal speakers of select Sony TVs (but not ours).
I'm considering getting this soundbar and we're buying a house. Is there a way I can pre install wiring for the surround sound speakers to hide the cables?
How could you ɛte install the surround wires before you have them, unless you made your own with the same kind of connection plugs for the subs and speakers the only thing you could do is drill holes if you have a crawl space under your floor or tear all your drywall off and drill through the studs lol
I couldn't get the smartcast app working. The first time I tried to pair it with my soundbar, it screwed up everything and I had to start from scratch. I decided to ditch the app.
In my opinion the audio sync is perfect and the sound bar passes the visual signal unaltered to the tv. This is how i’ve always done it with audio video receivers.
Just got a Vizio Elevate to replace an older Vizio. I got to say I’m not impressed by the center speaker at all. My older Vizio is louder and sounds more full. The surround back speakers on the elevate are much better. What stands out the most is the sub it packs a hard ass punch. The app is horrible. Wanted to love this surround sound 😢 but even on sale this is to expensive for what you get.
The $600 m series elevate is much better!!! I returned this because of the same reasons my older Vizio was louder, very weird I messed with it for about a week and didn’t like it.
I would go with the Vizio due to the box needed to run the surround speakers on the Samsung. With the Vizio you just plug the surround speakers into the sub.
