The time has finally arrived for me to create my first 6-month capsule wardrobe for spring and summer, and I'm beyond excited!!😍🌸☀ I hope you enjoyed the video, and if you want to learn how to build your own capsule wardrobe, watch this step-by-step guide next: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DV3YTeBlhYE.html ❤
In the middle of this I stopped the video and spent an hour in my closet putting my winter things away and dusting the shelves. I live in south Florida and am pretty organized so it didn’t take me as long as normal. Thanks for the inspiration, great job on your closet. ❤🌸
Good post - I've been anticipating it 🇩🇰🤩 l have had this 6-month capsule wardrobe for about 10 years. The main gain for me is that because the volume is a little bit bigger, about 20 % compared to 3 month capsule wardrobs, l get more versatility/variety, and every item is getting used, especially in transition time now and at the end of summer. My closet is around the same size as yours. It's pretty standard, l guess. The overall workload of managing the capsule wardrobe is less - l have several smaller capsule wardrobes within and swap items when needed without putting them away entirely. For me, it's natural to have spring/summer together and fall/winter together. Just take your time to adjust and get used to it - 6 months will fly by quickly, and you will not even notice it,😅 Enjoy 🤩
Yes, I can already see how more volume will give me more versatility, that's why I wanted to try this so much, I'm so excited what I will learn and the new outfits I will create 😍 It's definitely a bit of a learning curve because I'm not sure how the weather will behave (next week will be really cold and rainy again, hah 😅) but I can always add or remove pieces as I go to find the perfect balance 😉 Thanks for helping me with this experiment, you definitely inspired me a lot ❤️
@KimBedene 🤩 l suggest you don't do anything at all about your new capsule wardrobe for the next month or even two months, but instead track what you wear as l know you have done for a while, just to allow yourself to get used to it and enjoy the freedom that this wardrobe gives - to physically feel what it's like. Don't worry - after all, it's only 10-15 extra items that you're juggling 🙌😘🇩🇰
Yay!! I've been waiting for this... about to do my own switch to Autumn/Winter. And perhaps try the beige pencil dress you're not sure about with a navy or black blazer, nude-coloured shoes and a gorgeous handbag (in any colour). And I'm sooooo relieved your coral blazer is back, phew!! I can't wait to hear about the data tracking results
Yay, me too!! 🥰 I can definitely try the dress with some fun tops to get more wear out of it, thanks for the suggestion 😊 Have fun building your autumn-winter capsule! ❤
PS Perfect timing Kim. I am in the middle of bringing out my spring summer capsule. I always get inspiration from you. Today you showed me how to hang some odd shaped garments! Thanks
I agree, a full closet can be overwhelming. I do better when it's less cluttered. But I hate to put some things away! My storage is not easy to get at.
Yes, it's so funny because when you're used to fewer items, just 10 more pieces can feel like a lot, haha 🙈 But I'm curious to see how this is going to go 😊
Thank you for another inspirational video. I am going to have a go at a 6 month capsule wardrobe too; it will be interesting to see what we learn on the way. At first I was a little overwhelmed by the numbers, like you, but soon got used to it. Already today I wore a top that would usually be in my summer wardrobe only.
Yay, that's so great you're trying it out too, it's so fun to experiment! 😉 And I can totally relate, I also wore a summer piece with a spring one this week and created a new outfit combo, I love it! 😍 Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Kim I really really love your wardrobe so so so much and I am always always looking forward to your videos you are my inspiration and I wish you have a blessed week ahead💗💗🥹🥹🥹
The weather has been crazy here in Germany. I actually used clothes from all my four seasonsal capsules over the course of the last few weeks! Temperature ranged between ~9° to 25° so, so it was practical having all my four capsules next to each other in my closet at once (that's how I've been doing it for years). 😅 I loved your excitement and that you wear your clothes for literal years! Also, your style is really unique and it shows how happy your are with it. Always enjoy your videos. I like all the seasons, I like the change. But I have been to Slovenia in summer once and it was faboulous!
Same here, yesterday was 28°, but then tomorrow is going to be 14° with 3° in the morning, hah, can't wait 😅🤣 I'm really happy you enjoyed the video and our beautiful country ❤️
Lovely to see your Spring/Summer wardrobe choices. The brighter colours + your excitement are 💯 contagious 😊. Chuckled to myself as soon as I saw your 2nd OOTD because it makes me happy knowing how you must’ve felt about finally being able to wear that jacket again. Think I struggle with too many light coats/jackets - lots for specific occasions (weddings, big nights out) or parts of a season like “early autumn” but they take up sooo much space vs. getting so little wear.
Aw, I'm happy you can see the excitement! 😘 Haha, you're so right, I had to wear the jacket right away, I missed it so much 😍 And I can see your point, for me thin coats don't get a lot of wear too, maybe you can put some in a "time-will-tell" box or you can try a packing party to see how many you realistically need 😊
In my climate I like fall the best. First because the muggy humidity is gone. I can wear my favorite browns, tans, and camels. But I still have summer color and can have bare legs and arms!
The white short-sleeve cold shoulder top, the one that is normally in your summer capsule, might look nice with the thicker black pants that you kept for spring? 🌼🌻☀️
I wanted to tell you - I bought a black straw hat from the brand InWear :) It’s almost like yours but it has a cloche shape and an adjustable wire brim. I hung it on a hook by my front door, like you did - and you’re right, it looks so nice! 🙏🤍🖤
I like summer because i like to go swimming when the weather is nice. But i needed to buy some items for my summer wadrobe. I lost weight so i am buying things that i can wear for years to come
