Cool I've been watching your channel for several months and still falling inlove with your passions like vlogging starting a company at your 20's,learning languages (but in my case I learn languages through music), and going to different uni. in america. Im 18 so my goal is to start my company around my 20's so hope that I could join you sooner and learn a bunch of things from you guys 😊😊😊😊😊 thanks love lots Jeika Bryll Stephannie Lago,18 Davao,Philippines
It's kind of sad what you said about having fear to start your own business because you're a girl therefore "you fear a lot of things" .... don't get me wrong I think you have an excellent CV but... that was such a wrong claim 😞
I totally agree with you, it's so wrong to relate fear with being a female, she could've said I felt like that, but not explain it as in a general way or as a rule, Sorry, but that is a sign of ignorance
Wow... I'm so thankful to have stumbled upon your videos accidentally. I'm learning so much from you and you're reviving the fire in me that died down. I've tried to set up businesses but objections and rejections teared me down, over and over. Been depressed for 2 yrs now and I just let go of all of my dreams. Somehow I ended up believing those people who told me "it's shoot in the moon" because no one would invest. Thank you for sharing your story. :') Eyeing on taking up MBA in SF soon... :) Hope I could also get a scholarship too. :D
Thank you for your videos! You really motivate me. I’m 23 now and I started my company last year. Been a really difficult journey but you really motivate me to go forward. Thank you so much and all the very best to everything you do! 😊👍🏻
Your video is inspirational and very true. I have started several companies and your story (about the difficulties in getting things going at first and surviving financially) is so similar in many ways. It is tough at first but if you stick it out, it is so worth it. Never give up and stay positive. I'm American but my fiancée is Russian so it was really interesting to see how another Russian woman lives in the US. Keep up the great videos. - funny I got to this video after watching your MacBook Pro video!
@linguamarina: Can I give you a bit of advice as someone who also is in their twenties and has started businesses.... Do not go to college. You already know most of what they would teach you in business school anyway. I dont feel it is necessary for you. Keep growing your business, and maybe the next time you have a good idea act on it and start a second or third business. It is much easier to raise money once you have already done it. And think bigger. You will think that 100k investment is a large sum of money, but then you go on to look for 1 million, then 10 million, then 50 million... The sky is the limit in America for people like you and I. I live in La Jolla, but frequent San Francisco. I would love to meet you someday... anytime you'd like coffee, or maybe a nice lunch on me...;)
without education, people can be easily misled, coz we dont know how to think critically and might once again vote based on propaganda .. by far a well rounded college education is not designed solely on building personal finance but to make the world a better place. yes college education and entrepreneurship are not mutually exclusive to each other.
Matthew Wolf nice words for her but she actually went to the US on a student visa and is now suddenly the narrative changes to being actually married to the co founder she’s mentioning here
Once again talented Russian people can't realize themselves in their own country. It is terrible that business procedures in the USA are more convinient for Russian enterpreneurs than in Russia. Our regulation of cross-border operations is really come "from the Middle Ages". Thank you for the succes-story. I hope that it's just the first step. And thank you for the channel. It is very useful when it is necessary to change mode of my mind from "Russian" to "English")))
Thank you, have you read any complaints from me?)) I am just very sad that so talented guys are leaving my country. Even N. Taleb says that it is our main problem. Unfortunately Scolcovo can't change it.
Marina,You Unreal!!!Я знаю ,как Написать,но Вы Говорите Лучше Многих Американцев!!!Ни Глаз Оторвать,Ни Ухо Отвезти!!!!Вы Красотка и Профессионал!!!!!!!!!
Hi, Could you please expalin to me this: you followed the Rusian regulations for starting a company, right? And what did you do, when you moved to the USA? Did you have to change something, simply register it once again or nothing at all? I suppose there are no international regulations for remote businesses like apps or websites, while there's getting more and more stuff like that. Thank you in advance, Iga
What if I wanna live and work in USA without studying there in the beginning. I just really hate studying, I prefer get a knowledge in practice when I really need it in practice way. Without studying all bunch of unnecessary things that I won't use in the future. Cause I'm pretty sure abduction system isn't so perfect in abroad let alone the Russian system.
I'm 19 years old, and I'm starting my business. OMG Your story is very similar to my current situation ha ha. Thank you for sharing. Hoping I'll be as successful as you.
hi marina, hope one day i can meet you in person. ive been subscribing your channel for 2yrs now and i learned lots of things. really i appreciate your thoughts and idea.. Michelle here from Philippines!
you said you're in cali am i right ? if that , you are in a big collection of developers like silicon valley. lot 's of big start ups are there. google apple android .....lot lot .
Wow so nice . i am so happy about you and your work, please tell me more about what you have done in your life , so i can acquire from you and how to create company, please let me know asap.
I end up testing - everything - but im a product manager & not QC - the platform like every other based in russia - send confirmation messages in - u got it... russian ":Спасибо, что подписались!:" or the confirmation is " : _blank_ : " & again " : Спасибо! Мы с вами свяжемся в скором времени! : " why?
It's an interesting concept but I don't believe she is profitable yet. Most website calculators estimate that she generates 200 dollars a day from her business. I will definitely give her props for knowing how to raise money. Only time will tell if this concept pans out.
How about youtube? At least 5K a month or more between both jobs....considering her geography and what they charge for rent. You start seeing money faster for digital companies though, due to way less overhead.
Hey Marina, I'm Niron from Sri Lanka. I'm 20 years old. I'm doing Bsc in Computer Science and Software Engineering. I'm inspired by your Hardships. God bless you to grow your future ahead. Can I join hand with you to start an office here in Sri Lanka?
Woow...! Amazing...!! Your urge to change defines your success...! I am an Indian and I do have plans but scattered but as you stated never give up yes I shouldn't...! All the best and would like to be a member who can seek for help in your company as well...!! Thanks 😃😃
beyond the fact that your company only works with lazy people, i don't think your narrative is going so well... dior, hermes, louis vuitton, chanel... and then you put a semblance of a simple detached person who doesn´t care about frivolous things? think it through, you have to pretend better
Hello there, Nice meeting you. I have some questions about you and your business. 1) where does your idea came from? why did you chose to start exactly that kind of business? 2) you said you borrowed money from your parents (300$) and that was all the money needed to start? 3)how is your company going at the moment? did you still owe the comeny, or did you sell it? Thanks for your time, I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you so much take care
Good job abt buz.we need lot of patients. whis you successful and glorious Happy New year. . i graduated B.Tech In Electrical eng.then planning to do Master but I have trouble in language mainly listening. ielts overall 4.5 to 5. so learn language course min 6 month. you thoughts pls..
Hi @linguamarina, I'm Naman - a gap year student from India. I have always been interested in learning languages, but I always followed these endeavours at home with a book in front of my face. And that worked, but only to a certain extent. I think that your idea is spectacular. I know this might be uncanny coming from a stranger on the internet who is still an aspiring undergrad student, but I'll still say it - keep up the great work. I've seen a lot of your videos and I was not especially in a very good mood when I started, but your videos have most certainly changed that. Thank you Marina.
Hi mam I have been watching your videos for last week's honestly your videos are inspiring me the way how you talk in American accent is superb I'm not a native speaker however I wanna be one of them. I can feel that zeal in me. Kindly suggest me how can I enhance my skills and become a native speaker... Thanks
i actually like listen from you instead only hearing from you, After listening to you for hours and hours and then just not being able to exactly listen the things you are saying while looking at you. (don't mind). I'm confused now between becoming your biggest fan or my goals of becoming successful in doing business to become rich one day... hehe. thank you very much for all the information
Hey Marine I am really interested your lingua trip idea. I am a college student I want to talk about some maybe spread around your website within Campus if you are interested! I am in China Campus of University of Nottingham
Marina, which VC did you have? You mentioned her first name in the video. I have a business plan prepared to further grow my established business. Would like to present it to VC like you did.
Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience. I just wanna know as you got money from American investors it’s easy to start company in states and get work visa? As you were in Russia how you got work visa? I wanna know details about that
I think a person who I have to beat is my boyfriend. He always opposite with me when I talked about business. I learn to get advice from other people but they don't really want to share but I still strong to become a business owner. Thank you for sharing your idea.
Hi, Marina. You have said you could recieve an admition of a few universities in America. But at the moment you can not go to them because you need to rise and rule your company. And my question is after how much time will you go to the university?
I admire your strong hearted for establishing your own company. Many businesses starts that way like what you experienced. All problems are there. You remind me of my early years in business and other experiences. After several years, we made profits. I could say I made the right decision. Hope you all luck.
hey, could you explain a little more how you registered your company, opened an international bank account ... marketing, legal stuff, accounting and what else is important when you want to get your own company
Hi Marina, I discovered your channel 2 days ago but I’ve already watched a lot of your videos because I like the way you do videos and the spontaneity you have during them. I’ve just checked out your website and I would like to suggest you a thing in order to improve it and reach more people: you should translate your website in the more language is it possible. I know that it can sounds obvious but if I’m Italian (how I actually am) and I’m learning English, it means I struggle with english so I wouldn’t like to book my language trip on a website which is not 100% clear for me (because it’s written in a language I struggle whit). I’m not a Marketing Manager (I hope a day I will be) but since I immediately liked your style and your RU-vid channel, I wanted to give you this advice (as a customer). I hope you will read this and I wish you the best for your life and your company.
Hey Marina you only described here your own story.. you didn't told that how to grow a company, please Upload a video about how to grow a company. ........
Hey Marina, you inspire me a lot. Thanks for all your videos. Can you make a video on how to get into Harvard business school. It feels so intimidating.
Hi Marina, I really admire your passion in order to pull it off, is there any way I could have your email address ? Thank you so much for your kind attention.
☺ sooo inspiring! Thank you for that. Hmmm dont appreciate your blanket sexist statement about how since you are a girl you have a lot of fears though. I reckon everyone has fears, regardless of gender. 😊 Hope you see and say these things differently now. Wishing you the best! @linguamarina
hey marina, i really wanted to know that startup companies does only run for the money or also for the other resources which are provided by the investor?? ThankYou!
Hi Marina , I want to work with you as a partner . And I have more Ideas to bulid new company and improve your company as well in my region so if you like this idea we could work with each others. Thanks for sharing your story to inspire other people you really kind and good person.

u r amazing & great inspiration to me.. I really wanna study abroad in Harvard, LSBF etc. but I am from India. :( I love learning different languages, wanna travel & learn many things. etc etc etc. I really wanna talk to u, how can I contact u ?
Hi Marina. Thats a nice sharing from you and I enjoyed listening to you story. I am also interested in foreign language learning and I have a passion in starting a language- related business. But I am not sure how to find the niche or to chose that one idea that is more likely to succeed. I was initially planning on setting up a language centre but there are already hundreds of such classes in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Do you have any perspective on this? Terima kasih @ Thank you 😊
Thanks for sharing your story....When you started your company did you learn how to code? Would you recommend learning it to start a software company ?
Wow.....hard work certainly pays off! Not easy building your company but when you get there.....it's your own and you set the bar. I commend you, the grit and courage it took to keep going because of your dream and passions.
