He enjoys using older guns. You don't need the newest and most sophisticated guns to play paintball. Hell, I use a custom Automag from the mid 2000s to shoot out guys using the newest guns on the market. A gun is a gun and it'll shoot you out just like any other.

The best way to get those CP regs apart is to cut an old leather belt in two and wrap a piece around the top and bottom. Then use two vice grips with round jaws to clamp down real hard. Clean with rubbing alcohol and try again if they start slipping.
I've bought 4 markers off of eBay over the last couple of years. They were all listed as used, but working. However, three of them were leaking (two were broken beyond repair) and I'm currently waiting for the fourth to get here.
Everytime I purchase a marker off ebay I take it as "Hey this thing has been improperly maintained and while the outside may look New the inside will need a full rebuild and expect weird stuff"
I had a similar experience like this one,except it was with a nexus dye nt10, the eyepipe was completely shattered, the markers threads were full of mud, the bolt was completely dirtied with dried field paint, mud, and very very old blacked out lube. the ul barrel was dented to hell and the threads were full of more mud and dried paint, it took 3 hours to semi clean the gun
This has literally happened every time I buy on E bay, there's zero accountability. I don't think I've received one marker that has been cleaned/greased prior to shipping.
that gun will rip. i have one. thank God mine didn't come like that...just not the most air efficient thing lol. the guy who had it before you had no idea how to take care of that marker.
Out of the 100+ guns iv'e bought/repaired they all came shipped like this, full of sand and always dirty. So sadly i just expected every gun to come exactly like yours did. Iv'e even had a few just thrown in a box, or just in a shipping bag with the barrels so they can just bang around in shipping.
I recently purchased a Tippmann crossover xvr on ebay and it was caked with paint. Ive watched this video before but now i had to comment, because now I know the feeling you went through.
Good luck with the XVR! Mine shot a lot better than stock with a TechT MRT bolt installed and a Dye UL barrel. Also, my selector switch was a bit finicky, sometimes I'd turn it to the electronic mode, and it simply wouldn't turn on. I'd have to switch it back and fourth a couple times, and then it would finally power on. Hope yours works well!
@@qmto thank you! Its actually been a very good marker, once it was deep cleaned and i did end up getting the MRT bolt when i ordered the crossover as well. I honestly think Tippmann had something special on their hands. They were way ahead of its time. I honestly think if they made it today it would have been way more popular in the mech scene.
had the same issue when i traded my empire ressurection for a geo 2.1 the regulator was PACKED with dirt. it looked like someone undid the reglator and dropped it in the mud at psp dallas. It was absolutly ridiculos, regardless love the vids man!
Eh as an owner of BKO's B2K's Intimidators and Promasters it's only a slight "struggle", they were and still are awesome markers... Just sadly too fast for tourney use these days. The clamshells were "interesting" but back then that was the best possible design we had.
just received an ego 6 in "unknown working condition" from a sketchy ebay seller... long story short i had to strip apart the whole marker and clean EVERYTHING (the frame was already loose when i unpacked it from the box). do people just buy shit and not take care of it? I spent probably an hour of my life last night cleaning paint that's probably at least 10 years old, not to mention the copious amounts of dust, dirt, and sand (oh and rust on the trigger pin). good news out of the deal is, it's fully functional and I have a new board on the way with an actual working screen :-)
Not the best trade. Promasters are great shooters but their monitary value is less than an Etek 3. You can find them pretty cheap, I have one for sale myself that shoots awesome, but I'm only looking for 150.
I like buying used so that I get to work on the gun, its part of the fun, I just say never believe the items listed as new, cuz u never know what it going to b like
The gun isn't in bad shape at all.. the previous owner apparently wasn't all that bright though.. Who DOESN'T clean up the marker before shipping it out to someone they don't even know? Hope you got it CHEAP based on the work you had to put into it to even get it working.
i have 2 idc promasters one with the original promaster board in black and a red one with a lasoya promaster board! but both solonoids are busted and they cost 78 buck almost as much as the gun... they shoot incredible i loved them while they worked but now i use a 2012 reflex rail.
Why didn't you remove the board and grip frame before cleaning? i personally wouldn't risk anything, I also always completely disassemble any gun i buy online that is not in a sealed package (i don't trust anyone)
This was in my college dorm room and I had no car back then, I used what I had. I was pushing against the back of the bolt, not the tip, even if I scratched that part of the bolt, it would affect anything. But it was fine.
corey15469 why would he put sand in the barrels, make the bolt stuck just to cut himself to get it out, and make the regulator stuck in place. Why would he take a gun that costs over 200 dollars and trash it.
