Something i like to play with, pretend someone says "you are not a director, you're no filmmaker." and listen to the inner stements defending that position. You very quickly get to "heck yes I am a filmmaker!" and knowing why. You are an inspiration to me personally, an artist just turning 40 and feeling limiting beliefs. Keep going! We're here for it all.

I can SO relate to that feeling of having an amazing conversation off camera and wishing you had a mic or camera on, but then honoring the moment by not, and having that internal battle! What I do is remember their words and take a note to myself so I can remember and have them retell the story on camera later.

Absolutely loved watching to this. I feel like I really relate with you when you say you're a great cheerleader, supporter, co-creator etc. and avoid the drivers seat... I have always been like that, I love team work and group activities and I'm never 100% confident in creative decisions I make sometimes as well. Seeing this was truly inspiring and watching the amazing films and docs you've produced so far have been absolutely motivating. Keep doing filmmaking and directing shorts, your vision and unique perspective makes you connect with every story you tell. Loved your documentary and your honesty in this second video! The thing that touched me the most was your last reflection about the depth of your experience with this fenomenal beings, their jobs and the lands they showed you vs the superficiality of some perfect finished image. I wish you would talk more about these reflections! I always wonder about how filmmakers manage that balance.

Omds I'm exactly the same. I feel paralysed to create content, in fear of rejection, in fear of being able to handle it all. I'm good at pushing others, but when it comes to myself; that goes straight through the window. This has really opened my eyes to the fact that many people go through it. Would love to see more content like this, it's almost like a visual journal of your thinking. Again, thank you.

I resonate with what you said about being the one that brings out the best in people and supporting them but when it comes to yourself you don’t give that same push and end up making excuses.
