What I learned from this video: don't get rid of any of your stuff because it's not true what those minimalist evangelists say, you WILL remember what you decluttered and it will haunt you LOL! In all seriousness, I loved this look back. Especially as someone who has been following along since 2010/11? I think? So much great inspo along the way. I would have loved if you spent as long on the older years as the new!
Beth, this was such a wonderful nostalgic trip for those of us OG followers too... I have a BJ style photo I saved from some time between 2007 and 2012 which I still have, back before I had Pinterest or Insta and I still love it today. I so so loved your "from the bottom to the top" bedroom weekly outfit videos and realised I've been following you for a loooooooong time! It also reminded me that the original outfit photo I saved of you I thought you were English for some reason lol!!! Anyway it was such a lovely video to watch, thank you for all the effort you make to be a content creator for those of us who love watching your evolving style. Finally - sorry this is so long - I think you're style was absolutely top notch during the years that most of us didn't necessarily have it all together with our style haha! Best wishes from your follower here in south of France xxx
Yeah I love that her style was always so cooky, combining things that you wouldn't think would work together but then they did and it looked so fresh... a visionary!
Hello Beth, love it as always, a very fun video:) I just wanted to say, maybe you could make the pictures a bit bigger (like maybe half the screen) next time, because the smaller details aren't really visible this way (watching on a smartphone). I didn't want to criticize but I just thought it might be good to know:)
I love this!! I’m a long time follower - I remember thinking to myself your 2nd pregnancy years were your Stevie Nicks years! Also, I remember those orange Ganni pants for sure!!!
Beth the substance of your content is so good! Thank you for creating videos that delve into style & not in a superficial piece meal kind of way. I know I don't only speak for myself you continue to make Quality content. & I enjoy it & look forward to your episodes! 1 of the best things to Thursdays.
Thanks for the break-down and evolution of your styles past and present. I can see that you've come along way in your fashion journey. Fashion is always changing, we change too, we evolve and elevate our style with time (i hope) lol. I think you have a lot to give, your advice is great, you take chances with your styling and it gives us encouragement to do the same! I'd like to see some content on your very extensive juicy wardrobe, pull out some of your classics or pieces you don't often wear but deserve the stage and sprinkle your magic and layer them up! Thanks for the inspo you're the best!💖🦋
Thank you for taking us along your style journey. I loved seeing your color evolution! It’s interesting to see how we change and grow over the years. :)
I have you to blame for my you tube thrift video addiction!Thank you for all your videos they are a joy to watch, you have unbelievable style. Those navy seventies trousers are gorgeous you will have to thrift another pair.
Oh my goodness, BETH! What a trip down memory lane...I love it. It reminded me so much of those early days of fashion blogging, back in 2008/9 also for me. That was when I found your blog! I remember those looks, and even when you were first pregnant. I remember thinking how fabulous your pregnancy style was (I was pregnant in 2008/9). This was a super fun video to watch. Keep doing these retrospectives! It makes me want to go on a journey of my own! xo Norbyah
What a great video and I’ve been your follower since baby number 2 when you were introduced by Karen Britchick. Love your evolution and process, as well as your styling ideas. You are unique and one of a kind!!!
Greetings from your fan from Germany. I love your crazy style. I have been following your blog since 2018 and I love your personality and your crazy style. Your style influenced me in some way. I have learnt from you not to be shy and to be myself to wear what I love. Thank you ❤
This was so fun to watch!! 🙌 .... it's so interesting to see the progression of your style and how you revisit some favorite looks/styles through the years. Also, I'd love to see the fall looks as well!! 🤗
Absolute favorite outfit overall is the '40s robe over the unitard at 30:45. In some of your early photos, you remind me of a young Stevie Nicks! Loved this retrospective of spring looks.
I have traveled along this fun fabulous fashion journey "from the bottom to the top" for the past several years. I am looking forward to your future adventures to "always play dress up". Continued blessings, peace and success.
Thanks for this retrospective! Love to see more of this, so interesting. I also love look back at my own OOTD selfies and sometimes I regret that I decluttered some of the items…
I'm about where you were in 2016. Just getting more inspired and back to being more of my old self before pregnancy. Thank you for your inspiring words, outfits and determination 🤗
Loved seeing all the outfits! You inspire me to shop more sustainably. Would have liked it if the pictures were bigger to see more of the details being described. I will probably need to rewatch on my tv to hopefully see them better.
I loved the video Beth. I think we all evolve in our clothingstyle. For myself it was from Goth, rock bicker chick, then casual to more workclothes and now more bohomixed with the edgy. I was so happy to hear thart you didnt like your pregnancy times. Me neighther. I felt so blown up and shapeless that it just had to be practical. Now that my girl has her own place I m finding myself again too. So a very relatable story. Thank you for sharing!
Great video. Strangely I find that I’m haunted by shoes I would never have given away but that I wore so much they could walk no more. Although my style is different, I too love the fun of getting dressed and choosing colour over drab.
I can see how the May 2021 trench coat was you least favorite because it did not have the B. Jones touch and was rather bland. This was a pretty good idea and could be something you setup to do for the end of each year. I am so shocked on some of the things that you no longer have because you sold them (temporary insanity? lol). Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and to all in the days to come.
I loved the concept of the video. But the outfits you are discussing should probably be full screen/ 3/4screen and a voice over used. All said with love. ❤️
Great idea looking backwards! But really difficult to se the outfits bcs the pictures are too small! Better if the pictures are bigger and yourself in a corner.
