It's late January and I've made the 1000km journey down to visit my partner Aya in Wellington. As per usual I have my dive gear with me and am keen to get in the water and experience what summer diving in wellington is all about!
Nice vid bud, would love to see ya do a dive or two around the corner to the west, Cape Palliser, Ngawi and White Rock area. Even some nice stuff to see on land if the waters a bit murky or the seals get a bit too friendly 😂
Oh yeah, I've been hoping a weather window will open up while I'm down there for that mission but it hasn't happened yet. Fingers crossed for next time I'm down there! Cheers!!!
I have watched all your videos and the are Excellent and the editing is amazing and I always love the way you talk us through what you were thinking or doing in the video without music. The crackling sound the ocean is music to my ears. Just one question my brother do you ever worry about Great Whites in New Zealand In Aitutaki Cook Islands it’s only tiger sharks that we worry about. There has only been one death from sharks and it’s because he tied the fish around his waist We use a makoa for fish when spearing in the ocean.Bro about the music I’m just trying to let you know I truly hate music that keeps repeating itself over and over again. Millions of RU-vid videos play the same senseless music
Cheers man, I'm not overly worried about GW sharks, in 18 years of diving I've only encountered one. As for the music I think that a bit of music in the background is needed to avoid things sounding too much the same all the time, it's generic crap because if we use anything half decent we get copyright strikes and dne up not making anything from the video.
Cher kia ora Kerry mean bro good to see you back down here in wellies. Bro my whare is right here at Moa point. My little boat the red one is parked up out front of my house getting bloody cobwebs ur most welcome to use anytime. Cher bro. Winny
Hey Kerry as one kaitiaki to another I do hope you don't usually use your iki Knife to get paua off, they are hemophiliacs so any nick from a sharp knife is enough to kill them even taking them off by hand risks damaging them. MPI will give you a proper plastic paua knife if you pop into their office so there is no excuse. Keep up the great videos but do try to show good practice.😊👍
I only use my knife if I am sure that they are of legal size, usually after diving for a bit I get my eye in for size and then will use the knife. I have had those plastic paua knives but end up losing them. Cheers!!!
Mean vid. The unsecured anchor on the tinny was making me nervous - might be a good idea to put a bungy cord over it or something, if that came out in a bad sea and wrapped up in the prop you'd be in a world of hurt :)
