👏👏👏 Amazing project and big respect for amount of patience, research and attention for details. Great choice of top components, cool music and quality video editing. Sram dropper will definitely complement your build
I still have mine in the box, waiting for Shimano Di2 wireless components. No rush Shimano, I have time... I am happy, that I've found this vid. I am definitely borrowing some of your ideas.
Thanks, mate. I’m glad you liked it. I know you are big fan of Cannondales. There will be one more build this year of Supersix from 2007, you should like it too ;)
Would you consider using the new new wireless blips in the future? You just need an AXS or Road shifter for the initial set-up and then they work independently. Trying to work out if they could be a hit or a miss mounted in the thumb position on a flat bar. Great build 👌
Got this exactly bike down to 7.6 kg. Stans podium SRD rims, Ultralite lefty and rear hubs, Sapim CX ray spokes, Sisl2, ax lightness Handlebar, stem, seatpost. Full SRAM xx including brakes. Crankbrothers candy 11, Thunderburt 2.1 liteskins.
Well done. I could have used Furious Fred 2.0 liteskin tyres on it and get the weight down by another 550g, but don’t think tyres narrower than 2.25” make any sense on any modern XC bike. I’ll be making another video about taking the weight of this bike down further in a couple of months, so stay tuned
@@TwistedWheels 100%. Just love this colour. Yeah, I don't wanna get this bike scratched for sure, it's such a beauty. I can get away with the thunder burt liteskins as I only use it on the road or for gentle off roads rides. Can't wait for the vid. Not sure how much more weight I can shave, wheelset is about 1065g. Maybe Picola trickstuff brakes, Furious fred 2.0s and another 50g on the egg beater pedals.
@@larjaynus4369 This bike is not for when you are trying to break the weight record as there are lighter frames and forks available, but, boy, this is the most beautiful hardtail ever made, both because of the old school colour scheme and the beautiful Lefty Ocho fork 🤌🏼
@@TwistedWheels agreed. S works EPIC HT would be the likely way to go for that endeavour. I just aspire to sub 7.5kg.All the best and looking forward to the next vid!
I have a caad3 F1000 Cannondale frame with a nice black to silver to white paintjob..I'm JUST starting now.. Got myself some oldskool Hope hubs on Sun Rims & a XT cassette.. Aaaaannd..That's it so far lol.. Gonna whack a pair of "exotic" carbon forks on it..dunno about the rest yet.. Think some Hope mini 3's.. I want it to be LIGHT too
Go for the headshok if you want light: 1350 grams some 100 grams lighter, super stiff and bombproof fork and it fits Cannondale without any crazy mods.
@@downallyourstreets I ended up buying some Carbon forks for it.. they're ridiculously light.. about 400-500 grams, I'm in central Birmingham so gonna make a quick+light city bike, but! I was thinking about getting some headshox for cross country stuff too, thanks for the info there.. that's really helpful!
Awesome build! I am curious if you have any rubbing with the hope brakes. I noticed you use them for most of your builds. I have two bikes with Hope RX4+ and they rub so much. They are very hard to setup. Any adivce on how to avoid the rubbing?
Build a DH bike. 42 spoke wheels, 35mm rim width, 4 speed bike (High/Low) to eliminate Derailluer slap, 2.8" wide Tires, 650b wheels. Make it fancy! Ride around town with BMX tires.
Do all Bjorn bars come with the AXS port hole in the center and the notches in the ends? I can't find a pic online and the website doesn't mention anything.
Hi could you help me ? I bought the intend bc stem and the Zirbel shifter and the blipbox and I would like understand to how connected the wires to blipbox Do you have the wires long? 1 mt?? Thanks in advances
Hi just wondering what is the front wheel hub that you are using on the new build. As I know it requires a special hub because of the one leg ocho fork. Thanks in advance.
What size bottom bracket spindle did you use? I’m trying to get the narrowest Q-factor. On my flash I use a 122mm Leonardi with the SiSl2 cranks there is just a millimeter clearance of the chainstay and 34tooth chainring one each side. I can’t use the same rule to measure because the design is different on this and the BB is much wider. Please help me find the right spindle!
