After my wife passed away, my little Joy is my cuddle bunny and when I come home after working overnight, she greets me and then waits patiently for me to go to bed so that she can cuddle with me. I love her presence and her being part of my life. I've recently learned that when I tell her I love her, she slowly blinks at me. I love that as well. Cats are more than we give them credit for.

The slow blink is your best way of conveying trust to a cat. Just look to the side a bit so it's not mistaken for hostility and you'll see her do the same thing back It's a "smile" that signals relaxation in your presence. Cats have a unique communication system and sense of your emotions. My late cat once went to a sickly elderly neighbou's apartment and refused to budge when I went to fetch her. She was there to sit vigil until she got better. Your little sweetheart knows you need her.. They're considered aloof animals, but my own experiences have been totally different. I hope you will have many years of comfort and joy from beloved kitty.

Cats do have a sense of time and they will let you know when you are running late. My calico is very time oriented. Time for food. Time for fun. Time for relaxation and time for sleep. It seems adorable Nymeria operates on the same level. I have no doubt she lives her mom and dad and siblings and keeps them in line as well.

That's such a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing. I love Tuxies, and several years ago my beloved, sweetest little friend and family member, who was with me through thick and thin for years, had passed over the rainbow bridge from cancer, and she took my broken heart with her. There will never be another like her, as smart, and fun and loving. I'm so happy to see that you also were "found" by such a lovely Tuxie. Cats are so amazing and give us more then we can ever give them.

She’s just like her momma. I love everything about this. Do you know I still have guilt taking my dog from her siblings. Them seeing each other is the best option ever. Seeing her on the desk with the sunshine. Priceless. She needs a Hall Monitor badge. Love her reprimands for your being tardy.

I have a control dog. She is half Chihuahua and half Yorkie. She makes sure I move and walk up and down the stairs every 45 minutes to let her out to pee. She is the boss of the house.

Thank you to you and your husband!!! There are so many cats who need homes. Not enough is being done. SPAY/NEUTER needs to be a top priority. If you can't help, in any other way, please find a great small shelter and help to spay neuter cats. There will NEVER be enough good homes--there are just too many cats and not enough caring people!

I need a cat that keeps me on task. My 3 only care about their food schedule…. And I need much more help than that. Like this beauty and catmanjohn’s cat Russell he keeps his human on track with laundry and picking up trash… I’m going to have to keep adopting cats until one starts to keep me on track!
