People who are giving you inputs, are actually misguiding you. What you should ideally get is 205/50R16 Michelin pilot sport 4 st tyres. (beware pilot sport 4st and primacy 4st are different pattern of tyres. Primacy is available in 205/55R16 which is a wrong upsize for the swift). You'll not face any of the issues that you've talked about with the ps4 st. Another suggestion is to not rely on any tyre shop for the choice of tyres. It's always that you'll be recommended the tyre which the seller has most advantage with and not the other way round. Do your homework, take suggestions from enthusiasts and real time users of those tyres. Read around on the internet. There is enough and more stuff available. If you need any specific info on tyres, you can reach out to me and i can help you out with whatever knowledge I've gained. Edit: also with the spare wheel size being smaller, you can definitely drive it for more than 100 kms too. Just that you need to be aware of the difference in vehicle behavior that would set in and that the kind of grip on offer with a smaller size, less wide tyre will be different. I have personally driven 300+ kms on a space saver tyre and know of many others who have done it. The key is to be aware of the change in behavior of the car with the small sized tyre.
Hi Harsh I have two doubts.. 1. What should be upsize dimensions for company fitted 195/55 R16 ones? 2. Difference between primacy 4 ST & Michelin pilot sport 5(or pilot 4) it terms of lifespan-durability
I will highly recommend you to go for Michelin. I have an Honda Amaze 2013 Model Diesel Variant the response of that michelin tyre is awesome brother. I haven't faced any problem yet. Braking or gripping is very fast and accurate. It feels like that the car is like a butter. Not any single noise from tyre.
Patkhe ni gutke dalte h basically rubber ke pad hotte h ...wo v thode time k baad tear ho jaate h ... my swift is fitted with 17 inch alloys and 215 toyo tyres ... there is a shocker wala in phagwara he fitted aluminium rings in suspension coils and welded new rind on the shocker ... the problem of tyre touching the quarter panel is totally gone and haa previously i put those rubber gutke in the coils the can was jumping from back when empty... that problem is also resolved... thnx to that shocker wala from Phagwara 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Michellin ek bhot high expert brand hai pr mid range walo ke liye quality me best yokohama hai kyunki m using yokohama earth1 165/70 R15 using in my wagon r the response is amazing and it's called a full paisa wasool item
Noise level is part of Yokohama.... Mitchlin is basically a tyre suited on for good roads not for roads which have potholes in it..... With my experience I have used mithchin ,Yokohama and mrf and I must say MRF is the best for Indian roads with no tear and wear....and amazingly if u like to drive in a crazy manner also mrf is the best, mithchin gets punchured easily due to soft compound whereas mrf is a bit hard compound that handles even the rough roads that mitchlin can never handle....
Bhai i am using yokohama blue earth ,new model,in my swift, and response is great, i had upgraded from appolo 4g, road noise got drastically reduced, excellent breaking...yokohama earth 1 is not good for wet gripping
Yokohama earth 1 meri fiat Linea main lage hue hai aur koi aisi noise nhi aati hai. Yeh chalaane ki dikkat hai. Maine 160 pe bhagaai and brake li thi sudden kuch bhi nhi hua. Best tyres.
Buddy, YOKOHAMA is one of the best brand available in India for tyres. YOKOHAMA is oem supplier for many high end and high performance Cars. So better do some homework before giving any information to public.
I agree with your Stepney as i have observed 14 inch tyres are not the same in every car their tread/width is different. I have Celerio and Swift but Celerio's stepny doesn't match with Swift 's tyre profile.
205mm width se 195mm pe aaoge toh braking ka fark toh hoga he q ki jitna rolling ressistance aur drag 205 mei create ho rha tha, 195 mei usse kam he hoga , q ki road se contact kam hua hai, jiske kaaran braking pe fark aaya hai. aur ab braking ke liye pissed off hue ho toh mileage ke liye happy bhi toh hue he hoge. both tyres are exceptional , highway ke liye yokohama is a bit better than michelin, cities mei michelin might be better. michellin soft bhi hai toh woh puncture zyada hoga. european vs japanese ki baat hai. aur ab maine iske khilaaf comment kiya hai toh ye mujhe chota bacha kahega. real mature behaviour of his.
Bhai aap ne bilkul sahi kaha he sab kuch Michelin soft material use krta he to puncher b jaldi hoga or life b kam hoyege lekin response and performance acha hoyega and yokohama hard material use krta he jis se performance me fark pagega lekin long life chlega or puncher b kam hoga
Bro u should go for 195/60/16...it ll be a perfect size.... Yokohama Earth 1 tyre r little bit noisy on road as compared to Michelin. If u wana go for Yokohama than go for Yokohama Blue Earth series.
Mera pass honda city type 2 hai.... Usme 13 inch ka wheel laga huya hai....mai usme upgradation karna chata hu....toh kitna inch tak bada kar sakta hu...? Agar app ke pass koi idea hai toh tell me... thank you vaiya
m useing yokohama in my dezire i have driven more than 50000 kms but m still ok no issues have use in both road condition i.e plane or and rough road as well.
Musafir bhai iss baar continental use karke dekhiye bhaut hi acchi quality tyres hain...life bhi acchi hai n grip bhi acchi hai ausum tyres hain continental ke main last 10 years se continental use kar Raha hun.
Always upgrade Tyre size to which top model is having. Because car company always use tyre size after much testing so as per my experience 185 65 15 and if you once use Micheline tyre then you will never go for any other brand
Bhai koi kami nahi hai earth 1 mein. Mai pichle 10 saal se sale kar rha hun aur use kar rha hun. Michelin se khassi tyre nabi hai in indian market. They dry so soon and cracks tend to come before end of tyre tread and start making noise. Aapki knowledge ko salaam. Matlab kucch bhi.
And for upsizing of tyre you should go only one size up for example max you can up size to 15 inches as recommended by company as it has permissable circumference, but already messed with 16 inches hence soon you may have mileage, Pickup, Suspension, Engine issues also
Musafir bhai with due respect , tyres ki brand ko compare karne ki jagah kisi particular model ko compare karen to vo better rahega . Yokohama earth-1 acha tyre h par ye off road bhi kar sakta h thoda , jaldi cut nhi lagte isme . If u want to go for more grip and less tyre noise then go for Yokohama bluearth -ae150 series . Best competitor for Michelin xm2+ and primacy series . No offense bhai , just a conversation with another brother . Thankyou .
Bridgestone turanza t005 is the best tyre in comfort and braking , better than Michelin . Michelin tyres tend to chip off from the outer portion as they dry up soon( sookh kar tootne lagta hai). Side walls are also not strong on Michelin, just give pressure on the side wall you ll notice it yourself while comparing Michelin to continental or Bridgestone. Michelin is not suitable for indian road conditions.
Bridgestone tyre lagao bro ...... Sabse best tyre hai .... Sab tyre use kar chuke ho ise bhi use kal lo ..... Frm my personal experience Bridgestone is the best .
Hi Rahul, Its not about tyre your car doesn't have ABS, EBD and ESP, I am also using Yokohama and its better in strength and life specially in Indian Michellin make lesser noice no doubt but not that compatible for Indian broken roads
Hello Joshi planning for an upgrade on my swift vxi 1300cc....which inches would you recommend? 15 '' or 16'' FYI I tried 185 70 r14 then I faced an issue on the front side, while taking full turns the tyre gap to the fender was almost jus an inch so went with 185 65 r14.
Bhai yokohama regular tyre me bhi problem hai mine same problem ritz me face ki hai or bahot jyada scating ki problem hai usame or pahado pe dhalan ke time me bilkul success nahi hai Yokoyham
