My Swift's Service Under 3000 Rupees | Car Service From Local Mechanic | Genuine Spare Parts 

Bro no offence but a lot of things that the mechanic told you were incorrect, and misleading . Also, it ain't about the showroom or local mechanic its about the information they provide and how well they fool one. some of the misleading information- *Engine oil is checked by its colour- that may be right incase of a petrol car, but in case of a diesel car the oil turns black the moment you pour it in engine due to more sludge present. *Engine used in swift is 3.5ltr- it is not 3.5ltr , it is 3.1 ltr pouring an extra 400ml could throw the oil in intercooler and affect its performance , also the extra oil could pressurise the oil seals and lead to leakages. *brake pads making sound - the answer given by him about brake pads being hardened is only valid for cars that remain stationary for quiet long, the problem you discussed is mainly due to dust and water in the pads. there are many other issues he told were original mechanic fooling tactics. Bro, please the information you provide is seen by 100s and 1000s i would urge you to verify it and not rely on mechanics Authorised service stations and local mechanics both follow the the sam pattern, it's not which one to choose but it's about to get the work done correctly.

6:30 the brake fluid does not top up, it is a closed circuit. its level drops when the pads are worn, or when there is a leak from the pump or abs. if the mechanic refills the brake fluid, and then new pads are put, the pumping element inside the caliper is obviously pushed further back, causing the fluid to escape from the tank.

Good video but I would follow owners manual service intervals , 10.000 or year thing which ever comes first. Apni aakonse dekhe kaam karwana is the only right way.. and genuine oils, filters etc. good vid.

Hey good video. Just one concern - and it's a BIG concern. There are some shots of a young guy letting the dirty oil on his bare hands. PLEASE do not do this! Dirty oil is full of metal filings and ither shit tgat should never be allowed to absorb the skin, because there is a cancer risk with this stuff. Please always wear gloves to minimise skin contact with sump oil, and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

The grade you use 15w 40 is not recommended. You should use 5w 40. Also you should use synthetic oil not semi synthetic. With synthetic oil you can go 12-14k kms without any problem and you will enjoy buttery smooth car. It will not cost you double too. Good luck.

0w40 or 5w40 dalna hai .MS Swift mein 0 winter mein dal sakte hai barish ke saath. aur 5w garmi mein dal sakte lekin sabse acha kam 0w40 wala hota hai fully sythetic he daliye.

Putting a comment on an old video but the statement you made between 2:00 - 2:26 is not true. So long as the oil grade is within the specifications mentioned in the manual of Suzuki which can vary based on region and temperatures your car is operating in, one can switch between Mineral, semi synthetic to Synthetic oil without any detrimental effects to the life of the engine. What one must ensure is that the oil change intervals are followed. Maruti recommends 5W 30/40 grade engine oil however the earlier gens of DDiS engines used to run on 15W 40 grade oil. It was shifted to thinner 5W oil in order to get bit more mileage out of the engine but even the latest gen of DDis engines will happily run on 15W 40 grade oil just fine. To confirm what I have said simply turn the pages on the owners manual supplied along with your swift/swift dzire and look for oil specification chart mentioned there. Secondly the recommended oil to be put in the engine is 3.1 ltrs with oil filter change and 2.9 ltrs without the oil filter change. The local mechanic has put in 300 ml more than what is specified by the manual. Having excess oil may potentially lead to oil getting into the intercooler and also choking the Turbo. Experience seh keh raha huun bhai aap make sure karna ki future services mein only 3.1 ltrs daley. Agar local mechanic ke pass measuring beaker Nahi Hain you aap amazon she ek plastic measuring beaker order Karwa saktein Hain.

Coolant mein humesha distilled water dalta hai Jo hum battery's mein use karte. Otherwise aage jaake radiator block hota....

Useful tips for those unsure to use reputable local garages & save on labour. I'm not an expert but working in service department only thing not mentioned properly in the video is that oil will always turn black in a diesel engine within 1 week of changing. However the point you made about oil colour turning black due to end of its life is true for petrol engines. Personally going to a main dealer is useful if you have brand new car with manufacturer's warranty. The extra money you spend will help retain better resale value and any electrical or mechanical faults during the warranty period will be covered and you won't have to shell out extra money getting it repaired.

@11.04 mechanic is saying he will put 3.5 litres of oil but company recommends 3.1litre. and now what happens if you exceed remommended litres , cars main oil seal will crack bcoz of the oil pressure. And now i will make you all understand when to put 3.5 litres of oil olin swift . 3.5 litre of oil is recommended when vehicles oilsump is opened in this case you can fill 3.5 litres.
