Living for nothing is worst than dying for something. This quote really hit me differently. Keep it up Seun. May the ancestors continue to be with you.
It's the level of intelligence that you portraited that usually wowed me.... Professionals are really the vehicle all these people use to engineer their evil ways. I pray we are more self-aware and do the needful. Thanks Seun!
As Nigeria destroyed the educational system to keep their citizens in the dark, at least they allowed you to know how to research and read, this is why buhari said Nigeria youths are lazy, the facts about the civil war are in the books written by the same soldiers involved in the act, but they won't read it but will prefer to watch BBNaija with their time. What a wastefull generation.
I'm being enlightened by your perspectives on Nigerian issues. School no fit teach this one, because the enablers of our oppressors na him dey run the educational system. 😢
Omo anikuLAPO, tell them, but will we hear ? I doubt, sir. Reminds me of fela song ikoyi blindness " maroko nko dem no see us at all at all. Omo anikuLAPO second bass jare. I once met your dad,he was my dad's friend. Keep preaching
Baba me I be Igbo but more importantly an African I just started to dey listen to you and honestly I have been captivated, cos many things you talk about I wonder and weep on my own.
How does being Igbo come into the picture, some of you can not drop your opinion without mentioning igbo, seun is part of the problem,we know what he did in the last election.
Yea I remember maroko i can likng it to Ajegunle.I remember visiting an old uncle and using a bowl to scoop water from the well bcos it was so shallow..Raji Rasaki the then military governor of lagos sent the inhabitants of the place away and renamed it lekki peninsular. May God help the masses in Nigeria.
Seun, as someone who is a bit older than you, i must acknowledge that you have wisdom that is beyond your age. Thank you for always saying and standing by the truth. Those who have ears let them hear
You're right ✅. Nigeria leaders have not done anything in Nigeria that's why they're going abroad to rest like Buhari, Atiku, Tinubu, Kwakwanso, Obasanjo, Abdulsalam, IBB, Osinbajo and Obi
hahaha, you de try my brother, but most of Nigerians are already been gaslighted , meanwhile keep up this good job of urs, you reminds me of Prophet Fela ,
Anyone that has any negative comment on this video will never have prospects in his or her life…you don talk everything finish and only someone with brain will fully understand you brother. God go bless you and keep you in good shape. Pls don’t ever stop talking. God be with you bro 💪🏿
She once worked at the BBC in the UK. But choose to return to Nigeria. That's her work ethics. Disappointed that you think she can't speak / use her voice when your grandma along my/ many other business women in Lagos used their voice against government. Caution ⚠️⚠️⚠️ . Sometimes think before you speak against women/ woman voices.
His point is that her voice is not speaking for the benefit of the masses but just serving the purposes of the govenrment, unlike gis grandma and mother's voice dor the masses.
Bro I love what you do, but from today never you tell us about your family, just about your wife children,, keep them out of midia bro ❤ Keep what you doing on GOD is with you, because your father truly fight for Nigeria, before he died, your father make way for all Afro music in Nigeria today, respect bro ❤
"Thinking beyond stage one" is a concept popularized by economist Thomas Sowell. It refers to considering the long-term consequences and secondary effects of decisions, rather than just the immediate or most obvious outcomes. It involves analyzing the ripple effects of actions and decisions, anticipating how they might unfold over time, and understanding that what seems beneficial in the short term may not be so in the long term. It's about thinking strategically and considering the broader picture rather than just the immediate gains or losses. The Nigerian professional..
Fela , ojukwu & nnamdi kalu are great men in their right don't mix the them ojukwu was buried by more 40 million igbo and people worldwide. Mourn and buried ojukwu . Be careful
Seun I think you have crossed the damn line here. The great Ojukwu lead entire Igbo tribe to die for a course in what he believed in. Which over 50 million of Igbos aligned with him on that. So you can't compare two different kind of people. Fela in my own opinion was a great musician whom I equally enjoy his music too. But comparing both men are totally two different people entirely. Your father lead nobody to war. If your father declared war against Nigeria I bet you only those at Kalakuta which are less than two hundred people would answer him to die for Fela sake. Please Ojukwu still remains a great leader & an icon among the Igbos till today. This is a dude that had everything, but overlooked the wealth of his family to fight a cause just for love for his people. There's no more honor you can take away from great Ojukwu himself. So insulting Ojukwu bcos some people said something about your late father on how he died shouldn't be an avenue to throw cheap punches at the late Ojukwu who has said nothing to you about your late father. Mind you the great Ojukwu burial was attended by a sitting president Good luck Jonathan and your current president Tinubu and other highly placed yoruba elites attended to his open casket in Lagos. Ojukwu was celebrated worldwide in America, London, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Italy, China, South Africa, Holland, Singapore, Canada, Brazil, Kenya, Denmark and etc by millions of Igbos worldwide. I remember we celebrated this great man achievement in Houston Texas, Atlanta, California, New York, Chicago, Florida, Baltimore & etc in telling our children about this great man. I think you really underestimate the great Ojukwu achievements. Why we all loved Fela bcos of his style of music and how he spoke the truth about the corruption in the country. Fela was closer to the common man & etc. Fela was a great icon in his own perspective, too. But insulting the great Ojukwu is off limits dude. Ojukwu isn't a member of the IPOB, so why your anger towards this great man. Is like some speaking about the yoruba struggle, and I start insulting Awolowo. I don't think it's fair bcuz Awolowo has nothing to do with the current struggle for Oduduwa Republic agitation.
On his behalf, I apologise. Tensions and stakes are high but we all don't want blooshed as we saw hiw America opened doors to many Igbos due to the Biafran war of approx 1965-1967. However, it is the shedding that all existing wars were/are built on.
Living for nothing is worst than dying for an idea you believe in. The first non fiction books I read as an 8year old boy in Aba 1989 was … because I am involved … written by Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.. & Nigeria’s Five Majors by Col. Ben Gbulie well authored books … but in these books I realized how ego could ruin a man and a nation … ojukwu was a problem to himself n the Igbo nation . If you deem it fit to lead millions of people into a fight , you should also be able to withstand the consequences of that decision. Millions of igbos died and are still dying based on those decisions.. But he absconded to Abidjan and only to come back and start hustling for Nigerian presidency … federal n state contracts … that was the lowest for me. Only dogs feed on their vomits. There’s something called beliefs, ideas , principles .. Death before dishonor Unfortunately our people don’t read and has very little sense of history because people like Col Joseph Achuzie who single handedly led the Biafran 11th Division should be highly celebrated n not Ojukwu. This is the same trap we igbos are falling for again from uwazuruike to nnamdi Kanu n this new one called ekpa… dealing with emotions and not strategic telepathic political economic social planning other than emotions. We are too smart n strong to be this gullible .. today thousands of our youths are being killed in the south east in the name of esn and IPOB … Revolutionary is not a microphone radio ranting n name calling game… it requires core strategic planning .. I am Igbo and Seun is 💯 on this … My own is not how many people attend which burial… mine is What You Lived For against What you Died For …. Fela lived every single ounce of what he died for … I cannot say the same of Ojukwu and it’s insulting to Fela for any normal truthful person to make comparison of these two. If there can ever be a comparison… it would be Marcus Mosiah Garvey .. Long Live Mama Fumilayo Kuti 👑 Long Live Fela Anikulapo Kuti 🔥 Those wey cap fit … allow them make them wear them Cap … These are two beautiful de tribalised exceptional humans that ever lived . So these unnecessary tribal cards should not be used to distort history here pls …
The big fish always on point.... hitting the nail to it direction.....well done....... Nigeria professional are one of the major problem in Nigeria, not only politicians......if this Nigeria will not work let every ethnic go there seperate ways.....i come in peace
Seun, I am a Pan-Africanist from Liberia who has followed you over the years . I love most of your analysis but sometimes you blatantly overlook the intersectionality of oppression in Nigeria. It is true that most Nigerians are oppressed but it is also true that Igbo are marginalized by the Yoruba-Fulani Nigeria. You as a Yoruba man must acknowledge your privilege and how it affects an Igbo man .In modern Nigeria Sowore has more privilege than Peter Obi , Sunday Igboho has more privilege than Nnamdi Kanu. If you fail to see that than your blind spot has destroyed you .
If you're really a pan African like you said you'll know the higher ups use one faction to kill the other. The civil war was just UK (west and north) vs France( east). They even used the north to conquer the west. Go and do your research.
You don't know what you're talking about. You've been highly propangandized. Yoruba privilege? Really? Lol. Just stick to your Liberian space, Brother.
I disagree strongly... That is the narrative the oppressors want the oppressed to work with... These men up there have interests that unites them beyond ethnicity against the oppressed...
You really insult the memory of your Father and grandmother..who stood for something against the oppressor. Now you have chosen the role to speak on behalf of the oppressors ... In the name of pan African stand points. Can you tell your audience 1 conflict or issues pan African org resolved in all their years of existing..?
Seun. I am an igbo man who is absolutely cosmopolitan in nature. I was born and raised in Kaduna in my early years. Got my primary education in Kaduna. My secondary school at Government College Umuahia and lived and worked in Lagos in late 70s before moving to the USA in 1978 till date. I've had so many awesome Yorubas and Hausas as friends. I experienced the Nigerian Civil War starting from the 1966 coup d'etat. What most Nigerians forget to understand is that for years, Yorubas have been the problem instigators in Nigeria and they pretend to be naive when the problem starts. The main reason for the coup d'etat was to install Awolowo ( A Yoruba man) in power . The Igbos paid the ultimate price. The Igbos find it difficult to trust the Yorubas because of their double edge sword behaviors . It is highly risky to trust a typical Yoruba man. Seun. Advice your Baba Bola Tinubu to start the super coastal highway construction from Calabar if he is serious and not out for embezzlement. Lagos is Tinubu's enterprise and Lagosians pay him their tithes.
that was how they took the entire lagoon front in VI to deny us of the beautiful view. the same family control that corridor of ozumba mbadiwe. we are not ready to stand up. how sad
He didn't get our support, so we failed him. The same was the case of Fela Durotoye of ANN party(Alliance for New Nigeria) who just got selected by BAT adminsitration as Senior Special Advisor on National Values and Social Justice.
Mr. Anikulapo-Kuti, you have not researched this matter well. The poor will only get a chance to see the water in front of Landmark area. Afterwards, the proposed route returns to the original plan inward away from the coast for most of its route most in Lagos. You should be more supportive when this kind of shenanigans are playing out regardless of who is being affected.
What's so special about dis Landmark sef? Who made the original plan and who changed it? Is it not the government? Landmark is just a business man that employs less than 200 people in that location but more than 5m people will benefit from Lagos-Calabar road when completed. On which side are you?
@@iyanufelixfagbemi15 why don’t you ask Lagos state that question. They should know. Up to last year, they were marketing landmark and properties near to it as reasons to visit Lagos. Of course we know what has changed in the last year. Good luck bringing foreign business to Lagos.
That's why they wear suits with all the heat and some are even banned from wearing their own native attires on Fridays, unlike the Indians who even celebrate their national hoildays by dressing up in foreign office be it in UK, USA or Africa. Shame.
This makes little sense. Firstly, Landmark was keeping the beach front clean. Bar beach used to be filthy when I visited it years ago. I don't get why destroying such a pristine beach front will be more prosperous for Lagos. They way I saw it, Landmark was starting to bring more investment. Some of the newer investors were Lagosian who've moved back home. That stretch of beach could have developed in a version of South Beach in Miami or Copacabana/Ipanema beaches in Rio. The hospitality industry could be the tonic that that Lagos needs to bring in much needed hard currency and grow the type of SMEs that Nigeria's ignorant, corrupt politicians have failed to do. That stretch of road does not make sense. There has to be some other reason for rushing this project. That 700 km vanity project will never be completed. How are they going to deal with the rapid coastal erosion that was featured on Channels TV recently. Will they destroy all that pristine mangrove in the States to the east? Why isn't Lagos fighting for control of their coastal regions? The city of Lagos needs to become a municipality like London, NYC, Paris etc. That will enable them to build aquifers, landfills, large sewer systems, incinerators etc. They should control their airport and ports. I thought this guy's dad was a genius and great unifying force for Nigeria. This guy however is an ignorant bush fantasist.
Even when Odumegu Ojukwu ran for president in both 2003 and 2007, how many Igbo voted for him? He was defeated in all the Eastern states (including Anambra his home state) by Obasanjo 2003 and Yaradua 2007. Hypocrite sellout.
And what is wrong if he is a Tinubu supporter? There is nobody best qualified among the political candidates "selected" APC, PDP, LP and NNPP than Ahmed Tinubu. So, in a pack of rotten eggs we chose the good one. @iykejnr6296
A journalist asking a serving minister a question should be encouraged. Baba 70 will not make gest of the journalist but will shine light on the issue the journalist is trying to shine light on. Nigerians deserve good information especially as they dont understand the politics of these projects. Try and find your way back to Baba 70's roots. Its not too late.
The minister wanted to dorge the journalist questions because the document being asked they did not have and normal procedure may have not been process. He wanted to rubbish the lady but the lady did her job professionally by not allow the Minister to talk down on her and still ask her questions and get reply
Guy landmark bought land in 2017 how is he complicit with what abacha and obj. Did, biko nu which kind hatred be this. Because you get one Igbo man in name only(because real Igbo man no be house boy to him friend) for your house no mean say your bigotry no Dey show
I endured this 46 and a half minute video trying to understand the exact point, and I have to say that I am disappointed. I used to think that Seun had the interests of Nigeria at heart, but I now understand he is more interested in demonstrating that he and his approved allies are the only heroes of Nigeria, and everyone else is either an enemy or hopelessly foolish for not agreeing with him. An attitude which is very similar to that of the current government and their propagandists, which should give us concern. What do you hope to do with your revolution if you ever win it? So much of what you said was riddled with hypocrisy. You castigate the professionals for enjoying certain privileges like foreign travel and concerts at Eko Atlantic, while alluding to the fact that you also enjoy these same privileges and in fact the only reason you don’t host concerts at Eko Atlantic is not because you are ideologically opposed to it, but because the concert you did there was not successful. You say that true revolution is about love for the people, but you talk about the people with such hatred and disdain, cursing them. You use class consciousness to maintain your own messianic status because as soon as anyone is able to break free of the shackles of poverty, it becomes harder to maintain the illusion of care as a means of control. It is easy to talk about ‘the poor’ but harder to engage with people’s autonomy. The most disappointing thing about your video was the demeaning way you spoke about the journalist who questioned the minister, taking cheap shots at her foreign accent and her femininity, alleging that the minister must have made a pass at her. This is very disrespectful and not comradely behaviour at all. That is somebody’s mother, but even if she was not, it is not right. You can disagree with someone without dehumanising them by reducing them to someone’s potential sex object. My comment is becoming a long winded venting against your behaviour as your video was against that of professionals, so I should stop and be constructive. Whatever the reason that the Lagos - Calabar coastal highway project has come on the agenda for discussion, we should address it on its own merit. It is right in a democracy to see who will be best served by a project and it is right for the people to debate it. It is right to seek for truth in the midst of noise and misdirection. It is right to challenge the displacement of people, whether the wealthy or the extremely poor, and it is right to stand up to injustice. It is even more helpful when people come together across barriers of ‘class’ and income to identify what is in their common interest. Incidentally, Landmark is not being displaced by the road construction, it is only losing its beach front, so the people who will be displaced by the loss of the beachfront are the people who run the small scale businesses along its beach front and the staff managing the beach. The government has promised compensation to investors who have structures that will be demolished in the course of the road project, which in fact privileges the better off over those who don’t have ‘valuable’ structures, like indigenous communities whose homes lie in the path of the planned road. And of course, people can raise their voices, but forests do not speak, so the impact of forest clearances in the service of the road can be easily ignored, even though these forests are crucial in protecting us from other threats in the environment like rising sea levels and rising temperatures from climate change. The environmental impact assessment that the journalist asked about is actually very important in understanding how the planned road is going to address these critical issues, and concealing it is a sign of bad faith. Questioning a planned change does not mean acceptance of the status quo. It is not right that the government refuses to maintain things that should be the commonwealth of the people, so that private interests come and do the investment, maintenance, conservation and security work that the government should do, so that the only people who can access the commonwealth are those with the ability to pay the private investors for their work and basics of life like enjoying a seafront or going to school in safety become luxuries. The government itself colludes in this. The entrepreneurs who invest in providing these services are not responsible for the dysfunctional system and accountability should be directed appropriately. We should all be concerned that Lagos, from a socioeconomic perspective, has the features of an apartheid city with extreme segregation of the rich and poor, land grabbing and growing slums with people unable to afford to work where they live. We should look at solutions to this, and this involves all people - the residents, the workers, the professional class whom you love to castigate, the academics, business owners and the government - state and federal.
I am surprised in this whole nice speech you wrote you didn't mention on how he disrespected the great Ojukwu. I couldn't help to comment on that thank you.
The last remaining rainforest left in Nigeria are located along the costal aerea. The highway no one needs will destroy them. Then in future we will have a costal highway that after 10 years of non maintenance will look like Lagos ibadan highway and our last forests will be gone and erosion, drought, famine, heat ect will increase. Mad ppl in control of that contraption called liegeria!! Yoruba Nation is the only awnser to have a future!!!
"It would be highly advantageous for the President of Nigeria to initiate negotiations with us, as the Yoruba Nation has shared its blueprint to benefit the African continent with ABAT. We are willing to extend our assistance to Nigeria in repaying its debt on the condition that ABAT is open to initiating a dialogue with the Yoruba on a pressing issue of Yoruba self-determination."
It has been widely acknowledged that the Yoruba Nation has been at the forefront of creating significant intellectual property, which is estimated to be worth trillions of pounds. Such a remarkable achievement is a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of the Yoruba people worldwide, and it is a source of pride for all those who are associated with this great Yoruba nation.
