I'm excited for this, I really am, but also a little bit nostalgic seeing how things evolved. I'm a 90's kids that followed Tamagotchi all the way down to the latest Japanese color screen releases hoping that the West would see a color screen Tama but hey...The World has changed and tamagotchi doesn't really need an oval device to exist, I get it this is the phone app era it's just that now I realized how old I am :')

i always wanted the original tamagotchi as a kid cuz everyone else had one during elementary but i never got one....so this is the closest thing xD i still like it though!

It seems like a lot of people in the comments don't like the whole "app" idea. If you think about it, this was a good idea, a lot of kids have phones these days and they do everything on it. It makes sense to make it an app rather than another plastic egg toy. Also, *what was that voice acting???*

I'm down for this. I always wanted this exact thing but the Digimon version. Hopefully this becomes successful and Digimon decides they want in on it too.

Don't exactly be a replacement for the keychain-type tamagotchi. The keychain version is not a watch because the shower can carry the keys where a watch would be prohibited, but its be cool too. My Tamagotchi Forever is a very empathetic level, the games are cool, I just didn't like that mine turned into a girl I would even play with a tamagotchi version of a girl but in a selected way, the behavior is more like a child could have a more pet version maybe functions in conjunction with keyring version but not required. I'm an adult and I would also like to take care of poorly bred pets like alligators, worms, pratypus like Pokemons Yoshis Bust a Move Kirby Chocobo... But still, My Tamagotchi Forever is pretty cool and relaxing and has a hidden philosophy

In one of the stores I go to sold a new and smaller and easier to play tamagotchi. In that version, I will never have to waste my time playing games with it to be happy, all i do is to give it candy. You dont have to discipline it too. I always take it to school because you can turn the sound off. But then I lost it for three days and found it under a book. It... passed away. But just hitting the A and C button at the same time is an easy way to start over.

After seeing people play, there's something about this that doesn't feel at all like tamagotchis. It could be with completely different characters and no one would know. Obviously an original tamagotchi had hardly anything to besides feeding them, but in the game Pakapets they get this idea down so much better. It's too complicated, and tamagotchis were fun because they were simple. Also I hate the nosies they make. :') All that being said, I love tamagotchis and only want this game to improve. I think that while Pakapets was trying to emulate tamagotchis, they did a much better job.
