My Tarkov AK Setup | Arsenal 107R Zenitco

This is almost exactly the build I'm looking at doing only with a variable optic. I have an arsenal 107 FR I bought years ago before they nearly doubled in price. Always wanted to give it that alpha look. Thanks for sharing!

I have a VERY similar setup- I've got the 107 SLR same as you, with the B30/B31 handguard and the Magpul MOE grip- for mine though, the buttstock is a Defiance DS150 buttstock held by a K-USA buffer tube that also folds. Lantac Drakon muzzle, Perst 4 from Zenitco and the pic rail for the top is from the B13 classica dove tail side mount. Oh also, im rocking the RK-1. For the optics im running the Vortex Strikefire 2, and for mags- the magpul Pmags. But yeah, very cool build you have here bud.

2:40 the adapter blocks the folding feature. There are 2 asg versions of pt-1 to which you could buy the adapter, but not pt-5, and the original stock costs half the price of the gun.

I have an Arsenal milled receiver AK, and am at the work stock replacement level that you were at. After seeing this, I am thinking that the classic look may need to be replaced with something like this. Love the folding stock, the folding dust cover (I hate getting the stock one back on), and your front lighting system is perfect for home defense. Great job.

Yeah man with the ZenitCo stuff SBRing this guy into a 104 is a must! Very cool setup by the way I have a 107CR done just like this as well as a 104FR that’s being converted into a proper Bulgarian 105 (wish I could have found an Izzy 88 kit but oh well). The ZenitCo furniture opens up a lot of possibilities as far as running the AK like an ultra modern carbine but the weight that B30 brings to the table in my mind mandates the barrel chop to ensure a weapon that is already somewhat front heavy doesn’t become unwieldy. The PT1/5 stock is also pretty meaty though so it does a good job of offsetting the weight up front. Have you had a chance to take it for a spin yet? You’ll be impressed, especially with the 7.62x39 chambering, the added weight front the ZenitCo and the muzzle control from the brake make it feel like your firing a .22LR. On my 104? Out of this world lol there is literally zero felt recoil, and when I say zero I really mean it. Once I have a properly converted 105 I’m going to give the sport 1 kit a try though and see how Russian Mlok holds up, I know some guys in the states are trying it out and really liking it… it’s apparently still friction fit and much lighter and thinner profile then their B series. I’ve also heard that much like Mlok in the states 1913 rail provides a better mounting platform for IR lasers but it’s certainly not uncommon to see guys run their IR setups side saddle on the Mlok rail of an AR15 so I assume it’s probably fine. Once the U.S. stops trying to reinvent the wheel and comes to terms with the fact that AK accessories are meant to be hammered, beat, banged, filed and generally abused until they fit.. only then will we start to see some real AK innovation on this side of the water.

Looks great dude. I bought a ak-103 awhile ago Threw a dogleg dustcover on it, a troy industries handgaurd/gas block combo, and a zenit pt-3 stock Also put a tac-30 on it too for a little more tarkov touch.

As a fellow gun enthusiast and head eyes enjoyer with an ebarassing 5k hours in tarkov i absolutely love this build on your 107R. Because of Tarkov I've purchased several guns including a my 14.5'' SAI GRY (with jailbreak), which was extremely overpriced actually costing more than my Knights SR-15 E3 and thats saying something lol. Tarkov was the reason I built my PC and now it was time for me to build my first AK. After looking around for over a year I finnally bit the bullet when I found a SAM5-67 at a LGS over memorial day weekend. Since then I've put around 600 rds through it and haven't done a whole lot to it minus an ALG trigger, MOE-SL and RS regulate MRO mount with my MRO HD. I didnt realize going into this that a milled reciever would cuck me out of a lot of options and even then compatable options like the TWS dog leg Gen3 didnt fit right so I ended up spending twice as much on the RS regulate mount. Right now the gun is in the shop being chopped to 14.5 pw w/RRD-2C and getting the KNS piston installed. I plan on using my Sandman K until my Wolverine PBS-1 gets outta jail. Anyways your 107R Zenitco build is beautiful and the fact you built this late 2021 I'm guessing means you paid the 50% or less than the few Zenitco parts you see on gunbroker but most of those parts are unobtanium at this time late 2022. Anyhow if you have any recommendations on stocks and handguards I haven't bit the bullet on anything yet, tho the SLR handguard is definitely top of the list for that RD-704 vibe.

I like it, well done. I have several AK's myself including the AKM, AK104, AK105 and KP9... I just find it hard for myself to justify spending as much on a dust cover or stock when I can buy a Glock (for one piece) or another Kalashnikov (for two pieces) for the same amount of money. Props to you though, it looks great!

I have this exact same setup, except I got the newer thinner handguard mounted on it. I bought the newer handguard before the UKR war kicked off.

Very nice! I have a KR-103 that I've built similar (AR buffer tube and CTR stock, though). I was about to order a B-33 when the feds started intercepting packages from Russia with weapon parts. Gonna put an RRD-4C brake on it for that meta build 👌

Funny that you say your inspiration comes from EFT, I actually got into guns because One time I stayed up all night playing PUBG in First Person and I used to 1911 and was muuurrrking kids with it. So when it got around 9-10 Am I went to the pawn shop asking for a 1911 or anything close and I got my first Smith&Wesson .45 Acp. Video games being realistic with guns makes owning guns even cooler

RP-1 and an enhanced safety are both great ideas. I run the PSA enhanced on my SLR106CR SBR, it has a little shelf so you can manipulate the safety with your right hand without breaking your grip. Also, the finish matches the flat black paint used on Arsenals, unlike the Krebs safety that I use on my other AKs. The Krebs is kinda shiny and looks out of place on an Arsenal.

Looks good but for my personal preference I would get rid of the cheek rest and the picatini rails on the sides and the red dot and the fore grip and use a small finger grip.

Love your setup! I’m planning to put together a similar build. Which adapter did you use for the PT-5 and do you know if it works for the PT-3? Also, did your 107R come with the tang or was that part of the adapter?

I have the exact same rifle but I can’t fit the dust cover into the B30. Did you need to do a lot of fitting to get it to fit?

How did you get B-33 in place? I have the exact same AK. When I got mine in, the left side did not screw in. So I had to take it off. Which I’m not happy to do. So did you do any modification to your rifle? If so, what did you do it? By the way nice build!

Thats a dope ass looking AK right there! Totally not in my taste but still really cool. Personally i don't like the Russian stuff on my K and even 1500 hours in tarky are not gonna change that. And this trigger you mentioned, oh boy amazing stuff :)

I really love this build as well. How were you able to get these parts? Because with all the stuff going on between Russia and Ukraine it seems almost impossible to get these parts without them being seized by customs

I maybe the only one but I prefer the Arsenal trigger to the ALG, I like 2 stage, and the ALG to me is to short and to light for fighting set up.

Love it , I have been into AKs since I fired first time in late 90s, owned my first in 2004 just as the ban sunset and we started seeing full features guns back on the market , for a long time it was taboo, and many talked shiiit about my choice of favorite weapon, glad now adays the myths of not being accurate , and bEing POS commie guns have pretty much been dispelled completely , and awesome to see so many , specially the younger generation getting into guns!
