I just finished Beach Read and gave it a 4.5 and a very realistic romance for me. My August tbr is A Court of Mist and Fury, What Lies In The Woods, Good Girl, Bad Blood, As Good As Dead, The Naturals, Nettle & Bone, and once I am done reading most of my library books will be reading either Clockwork Princess or The Serpent and the Wings of Night next.
Definitely the shadow hunter serious..loved loved ❤'s to Cassandra claire.. Also serpents and the wing of night. ❤❤❤ I just finish the duology and it is awesome..
I have just found your channel recently, and I am so glad I did. Going through and watching a bunch of your videos. Your personality is just so bubbly and happy and just very fun. I cannot wait to see more of your videos.
I don't have a set tbr. I just mood read or finish books, I'm in the middle of. So this month I hope to finish Beach Read, Shatter Me and The Silent Patient (which I just got from the library). I also bought a book at a thriftstore, it's called Salt On Your Tongue by Charlotte Runcie (it's was just a random book that intrigued me) So I guess this month my tbr is kind of set. But It's just because I start my new books right away 😂
My husband and I and our two boys (their teenagers so its cool that they still want to go with us...lol) love going to barnes and nobles.. We go once a week ( Since they were babies)for a coffee and take our books to read in the cafe. And also just talk and hang out.. It just gives off good vibes there and you feel comfortable like a warm hug.. But the bad thing is, you can never walk out of there without getting a book ...l o l..😂
Some book recommendations I would say is legends and lattes (fantasy) Such a comfy cozy read.. And also the golden spoon . It is such a twist of a book.. It's a cross between the great British baking show and clue (mystery) ... Also a one dark window (fantasy) would also recommend star bringer (sci-fantasy) also the serpent and the wings of night(fantasy) and the foxglove king (fantasy).. You also need to get into caraval (fantasy) a really great series.. Sorry the list of recommendations was so big.. But there's so many good books... And just not enough time.. L o l😂❤
I read WHAM in july and i was so so disappointed😭 last year i loved the summer of broken rules so i was expecting so much more, i hope you will enjoy it as much as i wanted to 💌
I read Belladonna in July and it was great! Its more fall cozy vibes so I think you'll enjoy it if you're getting a bit burnt out on summerish reads. The sequel Foxglove comes out this month and I am going to read it right away! I am currently reading the Adventures of Amina Al Sarafi and I am definitely feeling the fantasy right now. I am going to try to read a couple more summerish books though before I launch into full fall mode. Hoping to get to Meet Me by the Lake for sure.
I would love to see you and your husband do a video together where you talk about how you do your personal Bible reading/study/devotion time. Do you have a method? Resources? Pattern of study? Thank you so much and love your content!
Your videos are so comforting 😊 I feel like you’ll really enjoy Belladonna , it’s such a good book. It’s definitely a perfect Fall read, very Gothic and atmospheric . The second book called Foxglove comes out on August 22, and the author already released the title for the third book, called Wisteria 😊
You need to read some Agatha Christie! There’s a reason she’s the Queen of Mysteries lol all her stuff is so good, but I’d start out with Murder on the Orient Express and Then There Were None. They’re fantastic!
I liked Dial A for Aunties. There were quite a few bad words, and a little bit of spice, but otherwise it was pretty fun! For me at least it was a little bit of culture shock in a book.
I just bought beach read this weekend. Can’t wait to finally read it. This weekend I read The Wishing Game by Meg Shaffer. I loved it. It’s both heartbreaking and heartwarming with an amazing happy ending. Was such a beautiful story that made me cry tears of sadness and joy. So worth reading!!
Can’t wait to see what you think of Why Happens after Midnight, I’ve been thinking of reading that! I’m currently reading the Throne of Glass series :)
I’m almost done reading Beach Read and I’m loving it!🤍 Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on all of these books! Also, I want to read Belladonna this fall, and those pink sprayed edges are beautiful!✨😊
I was watching this video verbally going “love and gelato!” “love and gelato!” 😂 it’s a very cute book, but you can skip the movie, it doesn’t do the book justice 😅 nice picks this month!
I know I might be the only one but I liked beach read but I kind of struggled with it. I liked that but I didn't love it. I know that it is an unpopular opinion now and I hope you enjoy it.
I think I'll be trying to join in the retoldathon (fairytale retelling redathon). So a few fairytales I want to read, and of course have quite a few books I need to read for reviews.
I've gotta read the second Crescent City book before the third comes out in January so I don't see any spoilers. So I guess that has to be on my TBR this month, but I really just haven't been in the mood for it quite yet. Also, patiently waiting for the second book in the Fourth Wing series to come out in November, so I have to finish the second CC book before then so I don't hear any spoilers for that either
Love your videos! I'm currently reading Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb. I have a lot of fantasy on my tbr and I don't really read anything else (working on it tho). However, I did read Crime and Punishment this year and that was definitely out of my comfort zone. And I will be reading Life of Pi as well. Also love yours and Ian's videos and it's even better that y'all are Christians! I wish my fiancé and I could be couple friends with y'all irl. (':
Hey Ashlynn! I was watching your video and I think that you would really like to read the book “Defy the Night by Bridget Kemmerer.” Its a YA fantasy romance and it is so gooood!!!
