You should get a more secure back up than just 1 external drive, think about cloud storage, additional drives, if that drive crashes you are done. Don't do this before it's too late. But if as you say you they aren't that important then maybe you don't care if you lost the data. :)

Great videos. I like the honesty with what you own as opposed to people that say I only have 12 items cause I live with my partner and all the furniture, kitchen gear, etc is my partners that I use so I don’t count it. Honesty over hypocrisy. Thank you for that.

Caudabe iPhone 13 cases are around $35 (if you use their discount) and it is by far the most durable phone case I have ever used. I don't think ill ever need to buy another case during the life of my device!

Depending on the drive, computer OS and your specs that's an oddly specific question. MacOS has Gatekeeper. You can encrypt anything right on the device. Other devices may not be as capable out of the box and you'd need to look up a tutorial. From an opsec perspective, I think he'd be best served not sharing that with us. That's private.

@@drewconway7135security people are like that. 😂 A lot of generic files can be locked up with pgp/gpg, zip+encrypt like 7zip, and I'd add that media specific stuff exists and works well too like a DRM lock or DAM (digital asset management) usually a platform. Hope this helps 😂

The mouse receiver either has to be plugged into the USB-C hub, or into the back of my monitor (I don't know why that works but it does).
