Gordon B. Hinckley - Of all the things for which I feel grateful … , one stands out preeminently. That is a living testimony of Jesus Christ. www.lds.org/general-conferenc...
I was in Boot camp when i heard that president Hinckley pass away and i wish was more true to the faith now and before the army life but every time i try to listen to a church talk i feel impress to listen any talk from President Hinckley more than anyone else and i get a since of real peace and comfort from his talks.
I could genuinely feel the spirit from the prophets testimony, I am so thankful for the prophet, the apostles, and the leaders of the church we have today and the guidance they bring to us so we all can be closer to our eternal father in heaven and his only begotten son Jesus Christ
Why do you think he used the corrupted version of John 1:1-3, instead of the inspired version given through Joseph Smith? The two different versions have two different meanings, so wouldn’t he want to use the inspired version?
I don’t know the answer to your question for sure but did you ever think about the many non- members or investigators who listen to conference who may doubt our prophet’s words if he doesn’t quote from the Bible they believe in? Until they have a testimony of the gospel and of living prophets, this could put some doubts in their minds.
