My thought so far on moving to Sweden - Immigrating to Sweden real talks 

Hoi! :) The algorithm suggested your channel so I stopped by. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your emotions with a bunch of strangers on YT 😊 My husband is Dutch too and he moved to Sweden over 20 years ago in search for a more peaceful life and nature. I’m Polish and we met a a random party in Lund, got married and have been living here in the south of Sweden with now our two sons. You and your partner are brave to make a move like that. I keep my fingers crossed that you’ll find your home here. And by that I mean a feeling of belonging. The most difficult thing for my husband and I has been lack of close friends and friendships-yes, we speak the language fluently now, work with Swedes etc but making friends here has been challenging. I guess everyone if us has their own journey to make but you’ll probably will discover what that means to you. I’m going to subscribe to your channel and follow your Swedish adventure in Sollefteå. Btw, I’m a photographer too (more of a portrait one but since I gave up my studio last year and made a transition to being employed again I might turn into photographing landscapes and flowers 😊 ) We’re actually going to travel through Sollefteå next month on our trip from Dikanäs in July, if you guys feel like having fika, let me know 😊

We moved to Sweden over 3 years ago, came here full of ideas and hopes with all money we had. Sweden took all money we had and we ended up with 2 kids on 1 salary. My husband cannot find a job and I do the job I hate. This was not the dream we had in our head. I wish we went somewhere else. The nature here is amazing but the life is unbearable. I wish I listened to the foreigners who were telling us this when we came. But I was too optimistic. We are British and it is very very hard. We hope to be able to move out from here and do something what we enjoy. Good luck, especially with the language.

No wonder you're emotional!! It's a huge transition to relocate to a different country. One advantage is that 99% of us speaks English, that will make things a lot easier. I can't imagine moving to a place where you can't communicate at all. I would recommend you to buy a dark rolgordinjen = rullgardin in Swedish, they cover the window better than blinds or curtains in my opinion. Cheaper also. I never thought of the part about saying good bye, I only thought about the exciting part of making a new journey, that is a tough part for sure and deff nothing to say sorry about no worries, hopefully friends and family will manage to visit you after you move and you will have lovely new memories with them in Sweden... I have trouble sleeping with too much light as well, tried quite a few sleep masks, finally found a really good one that doesn't rub on the eyes from mantasleep, it might be what you are looking for, although it won't help with the stress of moving and thinking to much. 😀 For a question, I am wondering what Swedish wild life are you most excited about capturing on Camera and would you be brave enough to try and get pictures of a Lynx or a Bear if you can find them?

Hello from a Swede! Beautiful shot video. My question: in what way are dutch and Swedish people similar or alike? We know that social structures and society can affect beliefs and values. And therefore how we act. That question would be interesting to get answered :-) I’ve been to your country but didn’t get a chance to interact with the population.

O, man! I am moving too! Going to sweden, and all the stress with selling my surplus things this week. Order moving company and organising things for the recykle plant too. 😳 And on top of that, there is the cleaning of my rentet apt… Puhhh😲

Love the video's!! Wishing you nice last weeks in the Netherlands. I will be going to Sweden May 28th up till July 8th. I will be traveling with my dog and also discovering aereas and thinking about possiblities and gathering the courage to take the big step to move or to have a big sabatical. For June, my goal is to drive to Höga Kusten and also Sollefteä. Hope Jonna Jinton's shop will be open. Question, have you been to Sweden before? And how long ago did the feeling or longing start of moving to Sweden? What made you decide to just do it?
