Hope you are doing well social-distancing. :)
I have been in the MIT Business Analytics for about 8 months or so. I really benefitted a lot from this program and thought it might be interesting to share some of my opinions about it with the public.
If you are interested in Business Analytics or applying to MIT, feel free to let me know by leaving comments below. I'll try my best to answer your questions.

Hello Sean, I coincidentally came across this video, and as a person who was recently accepted by Imperial College London for an MS Business Analytics, I am really excited about the opportunities this program will bring to me! I have a non-technical background and hearing your thoughts I think my goal to become a data analyst can definitely be fulfilled by taking the program. Hi Sean , thanks for sharing ,it helps a lot. I have a non tech background. could you please share primarily which programming language like R or Python taught in this course ,becoz it is always helpful to have some preparation before applying

It was taught in R and Julia, but in recent years Python became more and more important

Yo Sean is it possible for you to upload any notes you made for advanced analytics edge and machine learning under a modern optimisation lens. Could you also please make a video describing the mathematical pre requisites one would require to begin the course with ?

Unfortunately my notes were all taken on papers which are nowhere to be found now. :((( Recommending using iPad while looking back... Math prep requisite sounds like an interesting idea for making a video!

Hi Sean, does MIT accept students from Management studies background into this course or is it only for people who did technical courses in their Undergrad?

Many Business Analytics programs across different schools require some technical background e.g. linear algebra, advanced calculus, probability and statistics, and programming fundamentals.

Thank you for the video, My background having 14 years of work experience with 3 years into data science, I wanted to broaden my knowledge in data science, I believe this program helps a lot, am I eligible to apply as the website says this program is primarily for people with less than 2 year experience?

I have definitely seen people in the program who had more than 2 years of work experience. I think it is worth giving it a shot if that's what you are passionate about!

Hey Sean . i am from management background . i have a little knowledge about stats but dont know any programming language. should i apply for the MS Business analytics program. will it be my cup of tea ?

I think it might be a bit challenging, but you may start with some online courses to fill in this knowledge gap. Take some general ML/Stats courses on Coursera/RU-vid and mention that when you apply. :)

Think so! But those who pursued MLE career after graduation were usually having a pretty strong Eng background already. :)

I think there are a lot of Sloan MBA students who are taking the certification program. Not too sure about the situation you described 🤔

Linear Algebra, Stats/Probability, Basic Data Structure knowledge, general coding skills (Python, R, SQL). And a passion for Data Science & Analytics. :)
