It's not so much when you are changing lanes deliberately, its when for example, you overtake a parked car on the road or there are traffic cones you have to go around etc. Honestly, it can be a nightmare and scare the heck out of you the first time it happens.
I’ve had an id3 from Onto for the last 4 months, but we’ve just set up a salary sacrifice scheme through Elmo. The VW is going back this week and the model 3 LR is arriving Friday. With the salary sacrifice it’s only £100 per month more, seems a no brainer.
Not sure they are competing models - my ID 3 lease costs less than 2/3 the cost of a base model 3 - Tesla would be my first choice but there are no deals on prices.
You make some really good points, but it would also have been interesting to know the difference in subscription - when I looked it was about £400 a month. I’m waiting for my id3 to come but the house was divided on the car. My wife will be main driver and said the teslas is too big. My kids all wanted the Tesla. I personally love the style of the Id3, but accept it’s not for everyone
VW ID3 is £589 per month and Tesla Model 3 is now £1299 per month though when I had one or was just £799 for the Tesla Model 3P! Tesla is always going to be more appealing to kids because of the games and lots of RU-vidrs drive them etc
Great video. Thank you. I value the VW build quality but I dont value the way they cheated thousands of people with their emissions scandal and that is the primary reason I won't give VW my money for an ID3.
@August VFX Oh get over it, quit acting like you don’t throw out garbage and eat hamburgers. You’re not as animal and environmentally friendly as you would like to think your are.
I know but when you're on a winding road sometimes it kicks in, not just when you are changing lanes. Lots of other times it comes into play too for example when there are road works etc.
@@CarSubscriber you can switch it off but I think you have to switch it off everytime you re enter the vehicle. I leave it on and just give it extra steer to get it to go where I want. Not got the id3 yet. waiting on it getting built, hopefully before summer but who knows.
@@CarSubscriber Aren't we all? ;-) I wrote aPple because you said that in the video. VW has integration for both Android Auto and aPple CarPlay, but Tesla supports NONE of them.
Just the fact that id3 got way better headlights system and intelligent then the Tesla and in my opinion much better style… tesla model 3 is now more like a fiat panda you see them everywhere and for me they don’t have nothing special is just like a iPhone everyone want it because is apple 🍏 😅😂
The headlights are definitely better but 9 times out of 10 if you gave people a choice of which car they could have (money no object) they are going to take the Tesla Model 3.
@@CarSubscriber i dont agree with you there is nothing special much abou tesla. The reason it is so efficient is because it dont have anything inside of the car that spends electricity rather than just big screem. All other cars have lights buttons and staff like that. I sometimes see people driving tesla model 3 at night and it is terrible complete darkness in the car lack of lights and speedometer behind steering wheel is so bad for car that cost 40 000 euro
The built quality? Yeah maybe the american Model 3 loses this one. The Shanghai M3 is not behind that of a car manufacturer who does built cars for ages. VW used the cheapest interior it could find though and this for a car that costs more than 30k €.
@@CarSubscriber I got one, last year. Nothing to complain about. I am always a little hesitant to use words such as "perfect" but as a German who drove several German vehicles, I could not spot a difference to a BMW, Audi or VW in that price range.
I'm pretty sure nobody will "end tesla" lol. Sure, there will be more competition from the Big well established brands soon. But let's face it, they are only really accelerating their development now that tesla has lead the way and shown them how it's done.
Yeah VW are already making better cars than Tesla. Tesla better step up their design game if they are going to want to compete in the future. Not everyone likes their froggy car look 🐸. VW nailed it with the ID.3.
