I took a 2010 Ford F150 Raptor with the 6.2L V8 out for a spin and I enjoyed it, but wanted to share some thoughts with you guys. IG: Ljs_Garage_ LjsGarage618@gmail.com
When I was first getting into cars/trucks as a late teen, this released. It’s the apex to me of cool, no matter how old a first gen gets lol. I just got into a wreck recently and considering being reckless and owning a (premium) first gen as a daily driver lol. Im the same as you. But i just wanna own one and run it into the ground like a proper truck
I just bought a 2012 raptor a week ago . White 4 door and super clean ! I’m just like you I have a car thing … I’ve been trough e46 m3 , trailblazer ss , c5 corvette and I have 4 other v8 cars and man I love the raptor , I daily drive the corvette but been going ham on the raptor on my spare time !
@@mohammedel-rifai2545 I got mines with 140k miles now I have 146k miles . It’s my work truck so I use it every day for work . Payed 29k after tax but the thing is beautiful and definitely my favorite vehicle right now. Mine has been great since I got it with no issues
Hey Lj, nice video! I have my 2014 raptor special edition that I do videos of on my page. I bought mine at the end of 2022 and it’s one of the best vehicles I’ve ever bought! It does everything you need it do and more. The MPG isn’t the best but I feel like the truck literally makes up for it in everything else. Nice video brother
I own a 2023 Raptor R and I owned a 2013 Gen1. I absolutely loved that Gen1 just as much as my new truck. Those things are tanks and pretty dang reliable.
I have that exact truck and Love it ! The Gen 1 is a classic Badass truck with a V8, enough said. Mine is basically stock with a sprint Booster which makes it more accelerator more responsive (takes 10 minutes to install). Have fun !!
I had a 2014 it was more fun at the time than any thing i had driven. I traded for an X3 after getting tired of having too many GMs and Dodges take my lunch. The BMW solved that. Currently in a 7k dollar 12 VW touareg TDI which is faster than the X3....406ft lbs of cheap diesel power with 20 mpg in the city and 28-34 mpgs on the highway, with quattro drive it blows the doors off of everything stock...and is a capable off road machine....it tows up to 8k lbs at speed @ 28mpgs. But definetly persue your dream as I did years ago. But everything that you see as an issue wont go away with ownership.
I spent 3 years looking for a gen 1. Found one with 50k miles and it’s in phenomenal condition.. it’s an awesome truck! Went from a 35-40 mpg car to this 12-16 mpg vehicle… I still cry at the gas station. 😂 awesome video!
Nice find! I found a 2013 supercrew black on black w 136000km superclean. Love it got compliments on it right after I bought it a real head turner! So fun to drive!
You said "something nicer like a GMC SIerra" lmao!!!!! Dude, get the Raptor. That Sierra will be a money pit. The Raptor will cost you in shocks and maybe the lead frame, which is a $200 part. Other than oil changes, that's it.
Just got a 14’ super cab two weeks ago. Gas mileage sucks but if you look around at any other reliable truck like a tundra it’s still basically the same mpg. Even Tacoma’s suck on mpg. Can’t beat the looks on a raptor.
This has been a dream vehicle of mine since 2010. Now that they are within financial reach, I'm very tempted to purchase one. The only thing I worry about is my 8000lb camper. I know it's at the top of the tow rating but with some weight distribution bars it should be ok, right?
I would say don't buy one. I have a 2014 super crew I will sell you. Had for 7 years now. 87k miles. Everybody forgets these trucks are wider by 6" . That's a big deal for alot of people. Parking lots, forget about going thru a car wash, offroading is horrible unless it's dry summer. You're wider track than anything else so ruts and jeep trails are way tougher to navigate. The fox shocks will last 200k if your on road only. Power steering is weak. Lead feet will get you 9 to 10 mpg if your lucky. Towing max is 6k or you will waste the rear shocks.
