Godzilla vs. Hulk is one I'm very interested in and hope it gets made at some point. It's not the best fight for either of them but I like it for the simple basis of it gives us an intriguing style of fight, that being it's a Kaiju vs the guys they normally squish and the imagery I have in my head for the sense of scale they can achieve from Godzilla reacting with shock but also rage that some guy survived a stomp to Hulk jumping up his body like he's pulling an Ultimate Destruction and also the parallels in the analysis they can draw from their stories is interesting enough for me. As for a fight I want to see remade? It's a toss-up between Chief vs. Doomslayer and honestly for a curveball considering I don't think many people will think about this, Chun-Li vs. Mai Shiranui. Given their improvements with both being significantly less gross on videos and fights not to mention the fact that both SNK and Capcom are still going strong? This would be a fun one to see I feel. I think the one thing I'm keeping in mind is that this is one of the best safety nets Death Battle could've gotten. They noted making this Kickstarter that this was just to get the show up and running and that the rest they were gonna try and fund using sponsorships, ad revenue and so on. The fact they have this kind of line-up already and this amount of cash means they're in a very good position. Hell, there's still the fact that whatever episode that doesn't get guaranteed here can always be made later and since they're independent? They can call the shots. Overall, I'm very glad to see how well this Kickstarter has done and I'm very much looking forward to seeing them return.

If neither Hulk or Godzilla had appeared before then I'd be all for this, I think they're cool characters. But they've both had episodes that cover them about as well as I would want, and the main new stuff to bring up for them from what I hear is dimensional tiering that they could not possibly present in a way I'd find interesting.

@BiffWeed to be fair, Godzilla hasn't been on the show for a while, and since they're pairing him with Hulk, I'm sure the analysis would be more on the tragedy of the character like the 54 film or Shin Godzilla.
Bowser VS Eggman was already one of my most wanted for a bazillion different reasons, one of which just being the idea of making it an army battle at all featuring so many of their different minions and such. Of course, we still couldn't say for certain if Bowser VS Eggman would have all the mooks join in, but, BAM. jumpscared not only by the announcement, but the clear use of the armies themselves, if even for a little bit. That alone is about as hype as you can feasibly expect, but then amongst the armies is my favorite fictional character in anything and I just melt. Super excited to see my beloved boo king get work done, among other goated members of the koopa troop. Makes me reeeal curious about what'll happen, and while, probably unrealistic, a bit hopeful that maybe we'll get a few deepcut enemies and bosses like the Crystal King, but, who knows. Just, so damn excited for Bowser VS Eggman, and I hope it lives up to the hype.
im personally really hoping its a more realized version of willy vs eggman considering thats arguably my favorate from S1 Something about the who has the upper hand constantly changing is to this day really novel. Also if mecha sonic and the shadow mario clones from galaxy appears in the figth i will lose it.
the fact that theres currently (that we know of) NO Marvel Vs DC matchup this season is a godsend, I cannot tell you how many episodes my friends and I were excited to watch only to get another stupid Marvel Vs DC MU, they're by far the most boring matchups, so seeing NONE on this current line-up has me more hyped than ever, I pray to god the other episodes that haven't been revealed also stick to this trend because even though there are some episodes I genuinely dont care for like Aang vs Traveler or Ruby Vs Maka, I will HAPPILY take those over another boring Superhero MU Also Shiguraki getting on death battle is actually peak
They've only announced half of the episodes coming, and the ones we do know about were the ones that were more engaging so people would dontate. There's probably going to be 2-3 of them. Hopefully, the ones they choose are the more interesting MUs like Scarecrow vs. Mysterio or Deathstroke vs. Taskmaster
@@bucketnugget8134 BitS does it very well but they're a very different format due to their focus being on votes rather than analysis and one could especially tell considering the fight didn't utilize much beyond what people knew. A proper Death Battle would allow for more interaction and also stuff to be brought in from various Turtle media for Casey and in the case of Kick-Ass stuff from the comics people only familiar with the movies might not know about.

To be fair, they were eventually going to hit a wall regardless. Really it was amazing and surprising they got as much as they did in even just that first night and they were lucky that most of the stretch goals were very much in tune with what audiences wanted, plus most people I think are aware at this point that this guarantees it's coming back so whatever episode they don't get to could still happen in due time.

For the rematch I am begging that Hal vs Ben does not get revisited. Like, yeah- the original episode made some leaps and didn’t do Ben justice, but it wasn’t a big enough fumble to warrant spending an entire episode to say “Okay yeah Ben would be able to follow him back in time and the Omnitrix wouldn’t actually come off like that”. The original episode still has great animation. Doom vs Chief 100% deserves it, it’s one of the most outdated ones here visually and deserves another take with the current budget.

I really want the rematch to be Peach vs. Zelda honestly. They've both gotten so much more to work with since the original episode to make a proper fully fleshed fight and they both deserve due respect in their rundowns rather than rampant misogyny.
I gotta heavily disagree on the Light vs Walter thing, there’s probably a handful of people who are only in it for the memes but a VAST majority of the people I see talk about Light vs Walter like it for how it goes into their characters thematically and for how unique the battle could be. And just speaking from a personal standpoint, Light Yagami is my favorite anime protagonist of all time currently and Walter White is also in my top 20 favorite characters so I don’t think labelling the MU’s fans as “people who haven’t watched one or either” is really fair.
A reply from the man goes into this and basically it was more intended to be a lighthearted jab, primarily directed at people who just dismiss Light vs. Columbo for this match and people that try to prove some superiority over others based on connections than those who genuinely like the MU. Like I remember when they announced Freeza vs. Megatron and seeing people bellyache about how lame that fight was and how the former was just gonna stomp and here I was thinking "Oh the barbs they're gonna trade, how Megatron's intelligence might factor, there are so many possibilities.".
Hulk vs Godzilla has a lot of hype to it. Don't sleep on the hype train. I hope they use every version of Hulk and Godzilla in this fight to make it as fair as possible. Plus this fight fits inline to what Hulk's going through in his current run. Fighting gigantic, powerful, eldritch, Lovecraftian monsters. I really hope Torrian comes back to animate this matchup
As someone that plays genshin i would be so much happier if they dont aang vs traveller now. The reason is because nathlan is about to come out and this is the region where traveler should get some real feats and possibly become an archon. Plus i fear that knowing it the genshin community would get mad about them not waiting for pyro traveler before making this fight.
Aang vs Traveller is one of 20 episodes being put in production right now that will release on a monthly basis, the new region will be out for a while before we’ll see Aang vs Traveller.

With the amount of revealed episodes so far and their plans for a monthly release, they can easily delay Aang vs Traveler to 2026, more than enough time for the Traveler to get both Pyro and Cryo and far more things to scale them to. The only downside would be them possibly not having their original power nor possible abyssal powers by then, but having all 7 elements is more than enough for me

@@alessandroreyes3827My biggest problem with this matchup is actually that this episode could easily become outdated in a year or two due to the Traveler getting a power buff by the end of Shezniya because whenever we enter a new region we tend to get a pretty big power boost, we went from barely surviving fighting the 11th Harbinger to soloing the 8th in the span of one region there’s almost plenty of other problems as well.
Also, you should really continue jjk, season two is when it gets really good and you’ll really see Mahitos character more in it, culling game is great too but that’s a manga thing, oh and also I really wanna see any opm rep for the matchups, garou would be fucking amazing but you know what, fuck it, give us any zombie man matchup that would be sick

Honestly wanted Walter so bad! Some fan animations have had it be cool! It’s far different than Light’s wins or Columbo’s wins in their respective series. For a bonus, I’d want like Andrew Ryan vs Mr. House because it’s weird. Definitely Chief Doom or Venom Bane because THAT was dogshit. Only Chief Doom would change the verdict, but the animation I’m sure would be awesome I wanna see them cover Ash’s strength. That ridiculous power. Hoping they use the fan track masters of monsters for this matchup I prefer Captain N for Captain Planet, Aang is fine for this guy. Ashley Williams vs Frank West seems fair. They’re FAIRLY realistic, so live action could work. Combo weapons would be tricky though
7:09 this is kinda my issue with the rematch thing tbh, every matchup feels like spite (Doomchief, Tifa Yang), has better alternatives (Ben vs Jaden), or is just way too soon rn (Mario vs Sonic 3). Tracer vs Scout is the one I want to win honestly
I think that's something to expect with rematches though really, I see it as more a good incentive for stretch goals and also a desire to go back to topics with their updated research. Take for instance Doomchief who really I think setting aside the possibility of spite, people primarily want to see so they can cover the new Doom games and so we get a proper updated fight with a cool original track that melds Doom and Halo's sound versus the frankly horribly dated original.
I want Doom Guy vs Master Chief just because that fight has aged A LOT since then and now both characters have much more material to work with. I also feel like that fight would work better in 3D. That episode was also my introduction to Death Battle way back in 2011.
I'm somewhat excited at the prospect of getting a Hulk VS Godzilla DB, but regardless of which way they go, it's a fairly clear-cut answer of who wins. MCU VS MonsterVerse is definitely the clearest, as Godzilla wholly stomps MCU Hulk into oblivion. A more composite match for both is a lot harder, but I could definitely see them reaching the conclusion that Hulk wins that one.

I’ve been wanting to see Aang redeemed in a Death Battle for a while now, so I’m glad to see that he’s returning! Ngl though, seeing his opponent really did sting quite a bit, as I was hoping he’d be matched against Link from BotW/TotK. I’m not too upset though. Despite my feelings about Genshin, Aang vs Traveller looks to be a more fair fight, and I believe they have some similar abilities, so I can totally understand why they chose the Traveller. It should honestly make for a pretty cool fight. It’s just that my hopes for seeing my 2 favorite reincarnated heroes go at it in DB had gotten COMPLETELY crushed 😭
Honesty, this lineup is hit after hit. I can only imagine the matches we don't know about that we're getting. My only worry is that they'll be overshadowed by the more popular confirmed ones. But still, this is the most epic comback DB could've made. Can't wait for Eggman to go super, something he can do that is really funny (Light-Man Eggman). Also, Genshin is cool. It has Furina, so now I want Aang vs. Aether a lot.
It was initially, but the community has generally come to really like the idea of the match-up for its own merits despite it's less-than-pure-intentioned origin. Y'know, because the scale or it is going to be off the charts.

@@zachspool Funnily enough, Shadow vs. Mewtwo is an example of a fight that really doesn't have much going for it beyond "They could make an actual fight that's not rushed." with both having better options and in the case of Shadow, he's been on three times. With Doomchief, there are better options but not only is there history going into a rematch but also just a chance to see a fight rendered the best it possibly can be with new info from Doom 2016 and Eternal and frankly what is sure to be a banger fight track.
I’m in absolute joy that Kyle vs Simon is finally happening, it’s always been my most wanted matchup. Gurren Lagann is my favorite franchise ever and Kyle Rayner is my favorite Lantern character of the Green Lantern side of DC. So I cannot wait to finally see it realized and hopefully done as much justice as some of my favorite episodes such as Goku vs Superman 3, Wally West vs Archie Sonic, Xeno Trunks vs Archie Silver, and Cole vs Alex. Oh and I’m also very excited to see Bowser vs Eggman too. Especially after hearing they’re being given literally EVERYTHING

Speaking of the legality of Will of the Drill being used, remastered, or given some kind of motif, that really depends on the commissioner. They cant do anything with it if the commissioner refuses or demands a crazy high royalty. As a matter of fact any form of royalty sort of shits on the possibility of it being used as said above, well minus the chances of a motif being used since while legally shakey, you can use motifs and still profit from them. Elsewise if the commissioner is really nice, they can outright allow it with zero consequence, alby it some levels of protection is put down.

Also if I were to pick a live action episode and rematch, I think Indiana Jones VS Jack Sparrow as a potential LA episode and Peach VS Zelda rematch would be the best choices.
The BIG 3 matches I am most hype for are Ash vs Yugi, Tom vs Wile E Coyote, and KYLE RAYNER VS SIMON THE DIGGER! If they get in my top 10 PEAK FICTION Death Battles, then we know Death Battle is back.
Robocop vs Terminator is definitely my pick for a rematch. It's a good match up that really doesn't need a victor change but just an update to make the animation better. I'd also be ok with a Zelda vs Peach so I don't have to hear sexist Boomstick when I rewatch that episode.

So I'm not alone when it comes to Hulk vs Godzilla!? Even if they did it right, Hulk vs Godzilla would feel unsatisfying to the point where we could of gotten better Godzilla match ups like: Godzilla vs Eva unit 01 or the DEFINITIVE Answer to Godzilla vs King Kong (Not the 1962 film, not the 2021 film) a TRUE UNDISPUTED ANSWER OF WHO WOULD WIN BETWEEN LIZARD AND MONKE!
I think both would definitely be great though I see why Hulk vs. Godzilla is a match-up considering the origin of the characters and it provides a completely unique scenario for a fight animation which is a gigantic opponent versus a relatively small one, meaning one has to really work to make the choreography not only interesting but to convey a sense of scale beyond what Freeza vs. Megatron managed.
@@gameuniverse5973 There's a few fights you could do. Like I'll just lay it out bare, I don't care about what makes a good matchup or not in the sense of the basic versus community stuff. If you ask me about scaling I will fall asleep, you mention how a fight sucks because this character solos and I roll my eyes. For me personally, I think about what will make for the most interesting rundowns and just fights. That being said, Cthulu would make for a great fight and that would be intriguing to see, that being said, Hulk I get why they're doing because this basically will test them. We've seen insane scale portrayed with Galactus vs. Unicron, we've seen scale differences with Freeza vs. Megatron, this will be the first time that we actually have a fight where our combatants are of completely different sizes which means they have to think outside of the box to make this fight interesting and above all cool.

I respect your opinion but comp hulk vs comp Godzilla is my favorite mu Now with that being said I think mcu hulk vs mv godzilla sucks because it's just hulk vs Godzilla but more boring in every why I like Godzilla vs hulk because I think a monster a little bigger than a person vs a monster the size of skyscrapers it's a interesting idea that has never been bone on death battle before but mcu hulk vs mv godzilla it's not interesting that all it just gets all the cool stuff you can do in Godzilla vs hulk but why less cool.
To be fair they're probably gonna go for their standard research method which is not complete comps but mostly incorporating whatever doesn't directly contradict itself. I mean Ben has explained before that part of why Death Battle never fully commits to just using specific versions unless there's a reason to is that it would greatly limit them on what they could talk about.
