Good memories, cant believe the Mark III diecast is already that long ago...thanks for the referencing and it's cool to see us still doing this. :) By the way: How is the paint fading on your Mark VI neck area (backside)? I could not find any fading...if you look in my comparison it's damn severe on my plastic Mark VI. Great comparison and really curious on your final thoughts when you receive the rest of the line. :) Looking the most forward to the Mark V personally, that suit really needs an upgrade after all.
The paint fading is more severe on my Mark 4. My Mark 6 still seems to be holding up pretty good. Yes its been almost 3 years since we got our Mark 3. Isn't that crazy??!? Thanks for watching!!!! You want to team up for another video when I get my Mark 6? Mark 5 will be a kick ass suit! haha
The Diecast line is the best Ironman figures has seen. The reworkings of the suits has given Hot Toys the ability to improve in articulation, engineering and paint application. If you really like any of this suits I would highly recommend getting the Diecast version since it would be the ultimate form for that figure. I would be getting the Mark IV because I really like the gantry and they are forcing my hand by not selling it by itself. Nonetheless I'm sure the new reworked MK4 is going to be a great addition to the collection. Here is to them redoing the mk2 unleashed that I would get in a heartbeat.
I agree with you on so many points, but you have received the MK VI right? its amazing, full of accessories and the paint is much better than MK3's. I would only wish that they'll continue this trend for the upcoming 5, 2, and 4
I don't understand it... How in the hell did people managed to get those pink pants on their Mark IV's? I have that figure too but mine are still red and I've had it for years. Anyways! Diecast or not doesn't actually matter to me, but you know what would be really awesome? A Iron Man figure with ALL of the surface areas in metal, that could be removed to reveal all the inner workings. Something that could actually be used with the gauntry set. Having just a few parts done in diecast doesn't really make sense to me. Okey, it makes the figure heavier and more expensive, but thats pretty much it. Make proper use of the metal and use magnets to enable us to recreate the scene were he puts the armor on. And by that, I don't meen what they've already done with the Mark IV and the gauntry stuff.
Another great video, sorry to be a downer i love the diecast but i wish they would up the quality on everything before repeating figures IE; wm3 & bones retro broken arm switches, disco faulty paint on pants/thighs, mk45 & starboost left arm loose ( they do stripped down re-issues with the known faults your favorite rubber elbows ) & how often have you superglued a piece back; if its held on by 1mm of plastic make it in metal anyway like the old toys. i wont rush to buy diecasts until good people like you have told us the faults as in the UK some are over $500. keep up the great work, ian.
