Spitting FACTS out here though... I play both sides and am a HUGE horror guy... And I feel like victim side is WAY too easy... Even as a solo que player I escape more often than not... In a canon where all the victims are dead, I definitely want to feel more fear as a victim... I honestly think grappling should be exclusive to Leland since he's a wrestler (even if he's a child with only some highschool experience) 😅... I worked in the horror industry and met Robert Mukes (Hands), he would instantly fold any of these people in half... It's ridiculous to see him get beat up by little girls...

So while small we must focus on a single niche until growing larger... Otherwise the analytics are all over the place and demographics don't make sense... It's why so many people make one kind of content... 💯

Thank you for keeping it real, Nick. I’ve noticed that a lot of people will say “I play both sides” to give themselves an advantage in an argument, but then they give the most biased opinion you’ve ever heard in your life. Lol. However, those of us that actually play both sides know that there’s some serious issues with the game right now. I don’t see how anyone can deny it if they’re actually sinking a decent amount of time into both victim and family. You have to play both sides enough to actually go against competent squads and experience how they play. That’s where the problems lie. Your suggestions were really constructive and I think that’s what the devs need to hear right now. Hopefully, they see all these videos and make positive changes. I just want to play victim without sitting in a 10+ minute queue.

When victim lobby times were good, especially when they released shitless Johnny and bride Sissy, you were playing and uploading family games with 2-3 stack team with comms. You rarely play victim because killing is easy while surviving is hard. Play some victim games, especially solo victim against 2-3 stack family team who teamup against weaker victims like Connie. Family has everything necessary but family players are just lazy, they can't adapt to changes while victims adapted a lot of changes like choose flight nerf, stealth nerf, bomb squad nef, scout buff, Leatherface one second stun of doorslam buff, endurance bug against buffed scout which is fixed.

Nancy desperately needs to set her traps faster aswell! With the rush meta she can barely set up before the victims are upstairs.

Nancy needs her perk selection changed to be more appealing and her trap set up to be much shorter. She's been in a really bad spot since they did the perk rework. Her main ability is great but that's only if you're with a comp. She's needs alot of help right now

A couple things to help with grandpa is that the animations should be a lottt quicker to feed him, i do think it is way to long, the blood bucket collection animation should also be a bit quicker, and lastly close encounter kills should always give FULL blood vial!

I think feeding is a bit over 10 seconds or so. Turning off battery is shorter than a blood feed 😂 It's insane

Im not gonna lie it just isnt fun playing victim anymore for me. I miss that heart pounding adrenaline rush i used to have like i was in an actual horror movie! I hate to say it but the old insta kill should come bk. Grappling should be a tactical last resort to save your life. Also stealth really needs to be implemented much more. Would be super cool to get little rewards like a rare camo skin or unique stealth perk if you get so many undetected escapes.

Stealth mechanic needs to tweaked. Make bone chimes not activate, decrease foot step noise and dialogue, make it to where the higher the stealth stats you’re more easier to blend into bushes (gray hue)

Stealth should allow victims to make less noise including your footsteps/moaning. At a certain level stealth should also get something new like a smoke bomb. You can get more charges up to 3 slots (per 15 points into stealth per smoke bomb slot) and have to successfully stab the killer in back to receive a formula/recipe to create and obtain those smoke bombs. Stealth should also make you immune from Grandpa sonar and after stabbing him 3 times he basically can't find you anymore even at Lv5.

Family main here… I think they should split Exterior Alarms to work on only exterior exits, and create a new perk called Interior Alarms that only works on the basement doors. I also think they should combine Windoom and Well, Well, Well to match Stunt Double on the victim side.

Grappling is very weird because it affects some family members more than others, Hitchhiker and Hands have very low stun time. Sissy has a unique perk to poison them after a grapple, Bubba can’t be grappled, i do think EVERY family member should have a perk to counter grappling to some level

Perks shouldn’t be a solution to a mechanic and i feel that all Devs really need to consider that. Honestly when instant kills was a thing all the Devs had to do was shorten the animation for victims to run away and short the instant kill window.

Yeah the insta kill while grappleing was great. People were scared to grapple because of it. Now it has gotten ridiculous with the grappeling and 10 second stun time. Its such bullshit 😂

You nailed it! Thanks for speaking up, I know there is a huge divide in the community but this isn’t an “us vs them” situation. I was playing since launch, and it never felt this bad. Not even Danny’s release killed the game this much. As someone who plays both sides, I know family is not as exhilarating as the victim role. It’s repetitive and boring when compared to the dopamine rush that accompanies escaping. It takes coordination and communication to run successful family matches. Having a mic isn’t optional, it’s a must. When Hands was released, I thought okay they are trying to force victims to communicate more and I was all for that. It felt like the game improved. Now this? It’s just not rewarding to play family anymore, forcing players to become “victim main” or walk away. I love this game, but the devs have burnt me tf out. It’s clear that they do not play their game with the same passion as its community.

God, I couldn’t agree more on family spawning closer to the middle. It’s so annoying when I’m sissy and I haven’t left slaughter house yet and someone is already at the sliding door 😭

no, they just need to remove bubba’s cutscreen and they need to have a time limit to open doors in basement. Think of the ability cooldown at the start of the match. If sissy don’t spawn in slaughterhouse than she can’t use the blood buckets which is useful if the victims aren’t able to rush

To fix the grapple meta, I think Choose Fight should be limited to 1 charge, just like they did to Choose Flight, and the levels would be the seconds that adds to the stun time of that first stun time only. I should be used to get a victim out of a pinch only.

Gun Media doesn't play their own game. The spawns are fucked cuz at launched you had to turn on battery & generator but they changed that and never fixed the spawns. They wanted to "encourage" feeding Granpa by screwing over his perks and buffing the Rush meta. Level perks shouldn't haven even been a thing. Gun Media is a fucking circus.

Great video Nick. Thank you for taking your time to share your opinions. I completely agree with everything. When I started playing this game in January, I was a family main. It was so much fun back then, back when the victims were actually afraid of you. And I never touched victim because I was too scared and times were different. Now I won’t touch family AT ALL. It’s not enjoyable at all anymore. So now I am victim main. As a victim main, it is ridiculous that we wake up grandpa before the family’s cut scene is even over, the choose fight is nuts and grappling is not what it used to be. I remember before the update I was so scared to grapple. I only did it if my life was in immediate danger, now it’s completely abused. They 100% need to bring back the insta kill. Players should be scared and cautious of the family now they just taunt the family. Also when playing family you really don’t have time for anything. Especially Nancy, her traps take 5 business days to set up. I don’t see a lot of people playing her anymore. And feeding grandpa is almost impossible now because of rhe rushing. I think they should maybe add a base amount of blood you start with in your vial when the game starts, not a full vial but just some so all the family members could come together to get him level 1.

As a Hands main I don’t worry about rushing but the thing that really bothers me is Connie beating a 7 foot 400lb man in a grapple match. Limit victim grapple to one per victim that can be used once per match. Make choose fight stun last longer and give victim a speed boost so they only grapple when they’re about to die.

So take away their only way to defend themselves when they’re being attacked? You’ve obviously never played victim if you think they should only be allowed to grapple once per match. Even more so that you think victims should only be able to grapple when they’re about to die so that not only are their chances of winning the grapple so much harder but a single hit from another family will finish them off making grappling when they’re about to die worthless

I think to fix the rush meta you need to make it so when victims make loud noises (like picking lockpicks or bone shards) it makes grandpa's next scream come faster, this also makes the stealth attribute a bit more useful.

Family main here i main family religiously and lately i have been ran at by victims grappling me and i just think its stupid that a 5'4 girl grappling a 7ft 350lb beast and just hitting in the rip and unlocking a door in his face victims should be scared yet there superheros who beat up anyone

I think it’s fair, because Hands is already unbalanced he has 3 abilities. So the grapple shouldn’t be an issue it makes him more fair to go against in a way

Since the most recent update, I have noticed a change with the grapple system. It is now extremely difficult for me to win a grapple against Family. I have heard rumors from other players in chat that there is a cheat for pc players to automatically win.

The problem with insta death in the close encounters for me was that even winning, you end up dying because a family member hit you in the last second of the victory animation. I agree with the return of insta death in close encounters, but if they return the victims should have some kind of "protection" when winning or just decrease the time of the animation

with the spawn location topic for the family, i believe that they should be able to choose between 2 starts. example: hitch can either start outside of gen on slaughter, or spawn inside to collect the buckets. then with this they can either get a headstart with set up or collect blood buckets.

When I first started playing this game, I was completely overwhelmed with how hard it was to play victim. The killers were skilled and most solo ques, every victim died. It was easy to give up but I really wanted to play. I started playing killers and still felt overwhelmed with the bullying but now it was the victims doing it. In general, I believe it's hard to please everyone and the reason because some players are really skilled and some are not, so we're coming from different point of view. Nick Nasty usually plays with a team and he's a skilled player, but not everyone is that skilled. Playing solo ques can be challenging and frustrating. A lot of skilled players expect everyone to be on their level and intimidate you but saying, " you suck and you can't play." It's rude and new players are most likely not going to play anymore. Hands on the first month made it completely impossible for new players while pro players were excited about how fun and challenging the game became for them. I didn't feel that way. I stopped playing for a month because I got tired of being bullied by the killers and dying instantly in the basement.

many of the spawn locations you brought up are archaic relics of the launch of the game. they spawn where they do, because someone needs to turn on the car battery/generator. but, in today's game, no one has to turn anything on. the spawn locations probably weren't touched because they didn't want family to have too much of an edge at the beginning.

Kinda funny too. Victims will complain their queue times are crazy long but will rush like crazy when they got a game. Also why won't the devs listen to the player's feedback. We're playing the game and some players have a lot of experience in the game compared to the QA team who test out the game.

Your points are valid but there’s one thing that needs a major nerf or change and that’s the proficiency stat. It’s the main reason why the rush meta is the way it is. When you can pick a lock off in 5 seconds it is a problem. Grappling, choose fight, proficiency, rushing, and grandpa’s level requirement perks are the biggest problems with the game right now

I said plenty of times during the week the battery turn off should go to stealth not proficiency. That attribute is pretty much useless. If it went to stealth it would force victims to spread the points more evenly or have different builds. Everyone mainly dumps points into toughness & proficiency sometimes strength and endurance.

Great video, Nick and I fully agree with your points, especially with grappling. These victims are meant to be bloody and beaten and they're winning by grappling with stronger, healthier and chasing killers is ridiculous. I agree that the instant kill should be brought back (and I'm saying this as a victim main) and put the fear of god into victims who risk grappling. It would also be a great opportunity for a Family double-team kill animation and rewarding both players with a kill. The grandpa rework was a total mistake and a lot of rework needs to go into it though the biggest problem is of course the ongoing lobby issues and that needs to be firmly addressed and solved. I'm a casual players and I have not been able to play once this week.

i saw a match where it was nancy’s house vs leather face, sissy& cook, victims went to the battery side & got out before both family members got to the garage 😭😭😭. that shit is real life insane , definitely need to skip the cutscene & spawn better . same goes for hitch & sissy on gas station

A cooldown of about 30 seconds for Choose Fight per grapple is the solution, it brings more risk and doesn't allow victims to repeatedly stun family right next to each other. I think you should be able to grapple multiple family members in close proximity, but the stun applying to two people is pretty rough. The issue here though is before Choose Fight was even a thing the Family DCing problem was very prevalent.

great vid. the only good part of the gpa change is that it allowed ppl to bring other perks besides ea without feeling like they’re hurting their team. i think best of both worlds is if they changed the system to a tiered system where each level incrementally makes each gpa perk a bit more powerful (but each starts at lvl 1) or if they revert to old system but the game auto adds a gpa perk if a player doesnt bring one

One thing would be nice is to fix family focus so family can see each others traps , padlocks etc and maybe make them red or something easier to see.

As a family main, i don’t want insta kill to be back because i like when victims play more aggressive instead of hiding all game. It’s just that they gotta remove choose fight and they need to increase the stun immunity to 20 seconds

I agree with all you've said. Id also say with grandpa perks they could've made it each time you level him up the stronger the perks become e.g. no one escapes hell could be lvl 1 10% lvl 2 20% and so and so on until gramps is at lvl 4. Family also need a speed buff to keep up with victims now endurance has been fixed scout just ain't enough. Nancy needs major buffs for her to be on par with the other family and cook needs to not highlight dead bodies or battery when using his ability

I agree with everything you said but I noticed one way to stop the constant grappling is for people to play leatherface more. I believe this is why i've still been having good family games because even when they try and rush a exit they leave when bubba comes.

Maybe make Hands immune from grappling too. If his Ripstall gets a bit of a cool down, I will happily trade that for not being able to grapple him.

Completely agree Nick, great video! As a cook main the rushing is terrifying on certain maps. On Nancy’s house you have to have someone cover the house for you or they’re through before you even get out of the house, let alone lock the balcony gate. Why does sissy spawn at the front gate when she has nothing to set up, cook should spawn at the front gate so it’s faster to put up locks. On gas station you still have to go through smokeroom gate allowing container to easily be rushed even without collecting blood. They also never fixed certain spawns like the fuse spawning right beside the box at gas station on shed, making it the easiest fuse rush. I used to enjoy playing this game solo q and now I refuse to play solo family, it’s just tilting. Hopefully they can find a solution soon like the ones you mentioned!

in my opinion we NEED family that’s the reason victim matches take so damn long. Revert the insta kill change, remove bubbas opening kill ( only bubba watches it not family ), better spawn spots and nerf exterior so basement doors don’t highlight when online. “Skill issue or adapt” well look where it got the current state of the game it isn’t fun for a game to be over in 2 minutes and if you want to be playing lobby sim we need these changes yall can keep your choose fight if these changes get fixed

Feels like the problem with the game is that the rush meta exists because the longer the game goes, the more it wildly swings in favor of family. Family players love to deny it and act like the game is extremely victim sided, but there is simply no way to play the game stealthy and win if the game is prolonged. Family has all the tools they could ever need so if they get time to set up, it just becomes a matter of patrol, which is the easier game to play. Go up against a team of Hands and any combination of Hitchhiker, Nancy, or Cook and see how a good team of family players can lock the map down. Hands basically negates two entire exits and traps metal gates, and then Cook can add locks to the remaining ones, leaving Nancy or Hitch who can lay traps all over hell. The only time victims should win against that is when family are newer players. I do agree that all family should spawn closer to center map, but beyond that I think the game is weighted in their favor more than enough. I guess if the devs want to see like 1 victim escape per game, then it is what it is. Personally, I don’t think dying all the time is very fun at all.

There are things that must be modified in the game. Repeating Danny’s timing by any victim must be met with repeating the Hand by any family member, or canceling the repetition of Danny’s timing because it is real cheating. Grappler must be based on the strength. It does not make sense for Connie or Danny to be with 15 strength. And they win only because they have good health. Victims must know that they may lose the grappler if they have less than 50 Strength. Choosing a fight must have a call without it being unreasonable for the matter to continue over and over again. There must be an interval of 30 seconds or a minute.

What I don’t like is how some family members animations are worse or better than others, imo as soon as you punch hitch hiker you should be able to run immediately after, what I don’t like is how small hands stun time is for door slams and grapples. I definitely think the chip damage should be more lethal or revert it back but make animations shorter so you don’t get killed during a win animation

for the new spawns I think other family members should just spawn next to grandpa, or near him to promote the "family vibes" No leather face cutscene Chicken perk should highlight victims. Nancy trap speed should be quicker. hands should be able to barge a door in two hits like johnny. Johnny should have a perk that makes it so Crawlspaces are harder to open (to encourage closing them when playing, and give more utility to johnny) Sissy poison should have damage over time as a base kit, be quicker deployed (like virginia). which will allow her other perks to be utilized more (poisoning bone scraps, and toolboxes is fun and if it dealt damage it would be very useful) And she should beable to poison Nancys traps and hands traps when they are turned off. thats some changes id like to see among others you listed.

Partly agree about grappling, but savagery and toughness should be reworked. You shouldn't be dead with 4 hits with max toughness. I hate rush meta. I playing both sides (but prefer victims). I think camping is also a problem in this game. Solo q on both sides is hopeless, whenever I play alone I have weak teammates, meanwhile my opponents are pro players. The problem in this game is that many players sweat too much and the gameplay is too fast - you can die quickly, escape quickly. Subsequent maps should be made in such a way that camping is impossible, but the distances should not be large so that the family can react. I totally agree with what you said about the granpas perk rework. I remember playing against you as a victim. You played with your squad. You camped practically at all the exits. There was nothing that could be done. Communication plays a key role in this game. It's like in Hearts of Iron IV, if you don't attack, the enemy will entrench his units and you won't be able to break through. Here in this game, if the victim doesn't rush, the family will be in the trenches at the gates (Hands on the fuse/valve - on the mill it could spawn on the overgrown). I have a lot of matches against esports families - it's not a fun experience either. Anyway, thanks for sharing video like this.

For spawning, I think they need to change Johnny on Family House, Gas Station for sure, slaughter and nancy house is ok Sissy needs spawn changes on gas station as well as hitch and on slaughter and Nancy house Other than that, all other family members are ok imo I forgot to mention the mill & Johmny, Sissy & Hitch need better spawns. Now the only thing I like with the far spawns is im a solo cue player, and I like grabbing the blood buckets before heading over. And lastly my opinion on choose fight. I think it should give the victim charges, or you can't choose fight anyone for a set time limit. Rushing is out of control. Last night I played gas station. Cook didn’t get out of the gen gates, and hitch didn’t get out of the battery gates and victims set off fuse. It must’ve been 45 seconds into the game. Grappling/CF is a disaster. Looping gaps to hold family hostage. It’s all a part of a lousy family gaming experience. If you solo and are teamed with newer players, it’s a nightmare.

The most level headed position I’ve seen on the state of the game. It’s rough out here and even if people don’t agree with your solutions, the pain points are spot on for where the game needs work or things will only get worse. Still hurts my brain to think how the devs pushed this update out and didn’t think this would happen. So sad to see the game I love in such a dreadful state it’s currently in. I mostly play victim and honestly I die a lot doing the rush meta probably because I'm mostly solo and I get no protection, but I've had the odd few games where people understand what I'm doing and protect me, by the time the family are out of stun animation I'm already through the gate and near to battery and guess what, as soon as i'm there another grapple is waiting for them if my teammates are protecting me. there is factually nothing that solo family member can do to stop it. I do play family sometimes and I've also seen it happen to me first hand. But we also need to address why we are seeing more and more of this style of gameplay from victims now, we've had to adapt a new strategy, okay maybe this isn't new exactly but we've had to all start using it thanks to the addition of Hands who does have a counter but it's a fairly unrealistic and non-feasible counter in terms of survival, the idea is carrying two fuses or handles.. if you get caught 2v1 with that you're dead. There is less fuse and valve exits in games with Hands in them... Rather obvious conclusion, but the best way to escape through gate exits is having a grapple user with you, the knock on effect of having Hands in the game means victims will continue to use this door opening strategy vs absolutely everyone. From a solo queue perspective the first objective is not only nerfing Hands but absolutely obliterating him like they did to Danny from a solo queue perspective, then we need to look at the grapple system, I'm all for what you said about having a 2v1 be an insta kill again, I never had a problem with that. You had to either take a chance or be aware of your surroundings, I died more from it for sure and I was never angry with it. I either didn't look or took a massive gamble and lost. It's too late now though, new players learned with the current system, they would be so lost. What I would suggest is the stun time being situational based. it gets less of a duration near close proximity to the battery or generator, like once you have entered the area where the item is that is when it kicks in., keep it for doors because most family are cheese trapping with 3 traps on 3 doors now, they can't be able to bully that way and not expect some bullying back. Sure that will probably have an impact on the last gates in those areas but that might be a good thing, might entice more victim users to actually look after the Connie which is what almost none do lol

I also believe if they want family to come back they need to actually nerf Danny. Especially since everyone wants Hands nerfed. The only other counter is to tunnel Danny, which doesnt matter since he has 30 toughness and extra drip. Not to mention the team usually fights you the moment he gets caught. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing valve being opened and knowing you cant do anything about it. Hell, I remember when people would just insta dc when he tampered. This should of course come with a Hands nerf, however.

For grappling it should not be chip damage, you shouldn't get resistance while wrestling with someone else. Then double teaming a grapple will usually lead to an insta-kill anyway if like Johnny or Leatherface help

I agree with you on all parts about family spawns and the beginning of the game. As a family main, killers should be the scary ones not punching bags, playing all killers other than bubba shouldn’t have to watch the cutscene which would give them time to setup the map for when the victims come upstairs, grappling and rush meta need to be nerfed because there is no fear of family that’s all I’m saying. The choose fight stun time should be different for each family member Nancy/Cook: 6 Seconds Hitchhiker/Sissy: 5 Seconds Johnny: 3.5 Seconds Hands: 2.5 Seconds Bubba: 1.3 Seconds Imo, you’d be a better dev than the actual devs but I’m really glad seeing someone address these issues, they’re going down the rabbit hole and it’s needs to be fixed

I don't wanna be that guy but if they nerf the rush meta it will become nearly impossible for victims to escape. Give the family too much time and and with hitch and cook it is just straight up impossible. If they nerf the rush meta but also nerf the damage family has it will be pretty balanced. Killers can't kill survivors in the blink of an eye and victims can't escape that fast which will result in longer and more intense game where the team who plays it smarter will win.

They're bad no use arguing with terrible player base who can't win games but yet I win over 80 percent with no problem some games I 3-4k with Johnny for fun. Usually on Cook or Hands, nothing feels smoother then locking down entire areas with no way out. Some victims are working together now and family are crying that's all.

I agree with most of what you said. About the grappling, the one thing I used to dislike was the fact I’d win a grapple and still in the animation for an extra 2-3 seconds then you get insta kill after winning. That’s what I didn’t like about it. I think if they were to change the grappling so it is an insta kill for family, they should make it so if you win the grapple then you are straight out the animation the moment you win. I don’t play victims much now because of the lobby time as it’s too much time being wasted

I feel like the taking away the cutscene for family might be a bit excessive JUST because family house exists as a map It is STUPID hard to escape once all the traps and locks are up, which is why they nerfed grandpa and made nobody escapes hell a lvl 3 perk My personal thought for countering the rush meta is to well... punish rushing via the noise system to extend beyond the beginning of the game. Any time victims are spamming for tools, running through chimes, it should ALWAYS have an affect on grandpa level. This means that there is a price to pay for rushing that helps the family, while still having the beneficial tradeoff of being up and doing objectives faster. This issue also helps make STEALTH BUILDS MORE LIABLE, since by far stealth is the most useless thing in the game currently (stat wise)

The grandpa did need to happen as people were not running perks so they could get the guaranteed exterior alarms. This led to people not using nearly any other grandpa perks. With the rework other perks that never got used before are getting used and it’s nice

Personally, what i think the solution for grapple meta should be is this - Per family member, for each time your grappled, you get stronger, and it gets harder for the victim to win it, this makes getting grappled not feel as bad for the family side, since they know that eventually, they will win a grapple - For choose fight specfically, id almost wanna rework it, like make it so its like bomb squad maybe "your able to grapple without a bone shard 1 time" or something, and nerf the stun time, enough so you dont get shit done in your face while stunned Your rush meta solutions are actually quite smart, my choice wouldve been to make the basement harder to escape from, either by directly making the doors harder to unlock or by other means Also im aware some victim main will inevitably come out of the woodwork to complain that these ideas are bad, but even if these got done, the meta would adapt all the same, keeping the game interesting and less stale, and queue times will shorten

Im glad the devs reverted everything and hopefully learned their lesson with trying to only consider one side with game changes. Family mains arent the majority nor do most play in groups without family players the game dies and they deserve some consideration. The most bias victim mains are so delusional they are demanding to go against killer bots. Like that will help grow the game and wont lead to a swifter demise. Victims should enjoy a challenge and play like "victims" fearful and yet cunning instead of having the power to bully rush be toxic at the exit and screaming EZ calling killers trash. This isnt COD yet the loud majority want to act just like them without the talent.

Everybody just complaining about rushing, but maybe if stealth was not such a horrible stat, it would not be that way ? It does not affect bones and chickens, it does not get you more value in the bushes or against grandpa sonar, it's not a stat you use for objectives like battery or generator, family players always use exterior alarms, so they always know where you are and which door you open, it does not counter cook or nancy's abilities (maybe forcing them to be closer to hear/see you ?), it's just literally not part of the game except when you search for an item, so what's the point ? And since you want victims to stop rushing and force them to stealth, maybe the devs should reduce the damage the killers do and thus forcing victims to put more points in endurance/toughness ? I don't see myself putting all my points in stealth for Sonny if that means i get one shot by Hitch, Sissy, Johnny or even LF considering the state of the game and the way the killers damage is insane right now. That's easy to say victims are just whiny, but all I saw the past couple of months were victims adapting to changes (choose flight nerf, bomb squad nerf, literally playing for months with endurance stat being bugged against slippery family members...) but as soon as they voice their concerns then they're in the wrong ? But it's ok for the family mains to cry all year ? Please.

Victims main perspective on the topic: 1) "Rush meta": I totally agree with that. make Family Spawn closer to the center of the map, or make them spawn at the same time as victims except for Leatherface. 2) "Grappling": agree again, Chose Fight is really OP. They either nerf it to max 3 seconds or remove it completely. It's toxic and family players hate it. Insta-kill tho is really bad, just make family members to do full damage, or animation much much shorter. 3) "Grandpa changes": tbh these changes were needed, but they just did it wrong so far. Exterior alarms can be level 2, but remove the effect from basement doors. None Escapes Hell can be level 1, but reduce effectiveness from 40% to 20%. 40% + Cook's security pins padlock = nightmare. Overall I get an idea of what they want to do, but more tweaking is needed (buff some perks, nerf some perks, and move around levels), and tbh they said that it's not final changes, and more tweaking in levels and perks itself is coming. Not that huge of a deal as many try to make out of it. Victim mains survived tons of nerfs and family buffs, and overall changes. 4) "Battery change" is not a problem, the problem is coming from Chose Fight.

To be honest if they implemented your changes I’m pretty sure as a Sonny main I’d die 98% of the time. I’m not very good at TCM. But I’d rather die most matches than have long lobby wait times. For me, these are the changes i would make. .flip the grandpa teir (3 become 1; 1 will become 3 and 2 would stay the same) .either make it inpossible to dc or give them an stackable 10 min with 1 exusable and disconnected being exusable( like faulty internet connection or sever going down for example) . Shorten cutsence depending on family member( trapper like cook,nancy,hitchicker wouldnt get the full cutsnece, only have to watch the armadillo;hands,johnny and sissy would wait until the leatherface hooking a surivior, leatherface would have to watch the full cutsence) .Revert the all johnny nerf, he was find as he was before the nerf. . Remove optional entrance from maps like gas station front and one of the entrance of mill battery/ gas side to make it more challenging for victim. .make the map family sided, they should have the high ground but make perks crack for survivors. .remove the yellow nofication for leatherface, his noise asf chainsaw should be enough and should add more tension for the survivors. .make stealth attributes effect the sound the survivor makes ( i.e. windows jumping or voice lines) and the noise notification would be reduce for family members. Also the yellow notifications for surivior would have a bigger range to detract family members. . Rework all family member skill tree to involved their other basekit ability(ex. Cook would have one of his skill tree to effects his lock) . For survivors, they can respect their character leveing so they can get access to other perks . Would add comestic that you can unlock/ purchased using the in game currency instead of buying it. . Like boneshards, toolbox would have only 3 for each toolbox. When a survior dies, they will refill back to 3. . Add an attribute for family to effect their movement, not staim, which, I would rework it to infect how amount of Time they can throw hits and how long they keep up chase, NOT their speed of them running or hitting surviors , which would be movement . Removes maira from the game. Her living makes the story less tragic and impactful and her ablity skill tree suuuuckkk ballz .REVERT THE GRAPPLING META, IT WAS FINE BEFORE! Family members size and age should determined the amount of their are stunned. -cook,nancy should have the longest stun ( 5 second) Sissy and hitchhiker should have a base stun (4 second Johnny and hands should have the least amount of stun (3 second) Stun can be extended through perks by 2 second) .leatherface should not be able to be stun outside of lelands ablity and when the chainsaw is stalled. .Cook, johnny and nancy should have the ablity to pull victim going through small gaps .Battery "fix"should be reverted, it waay to powerful for survivors That all for now, would appreciate feedback for my rework.

personally I like the change we made with grandpa since the perks have lvl now we play a few more different perks and even the "trash" perks and I love that. yes the spawn should be changed that would help so much. and to choose fight it's clear that they need to do something it's serious how stupid it is and for those who don't know how close encounter works it works on a point system where the first to arrive has 100 wins (one click = 1 point) the family starts with 0/100 points and the victims depend on their strength for example a Leland with 50 strength will start with 55 points so 55/100 he only needs to make 45 to win and the people who say "just use suffocating grip" I'll tell you what suffocating grip does, it starts the family with 20 points in the close encounter mini-game so 20/100 literally a Leland can't lose, and you want to say "yeah but for characters who have no strength like Connie it gives the advantage to the family" a Connie with the base strength so 15 starts with 21 point so 21/100 even a character with the state of lowest possible strength has an advantage against the family when it is suffocating grip 21/100 against 20/100 and this is a problem it proves that gun wants to give the advantage to the victims on the close encounter in all the circumstances

ive always thought that grandpa perks should all level with grandpa like excited grandpa perk does. also i think that when victims wake up gramps he should go to level 1 and family should have 3 different spawns per character per map so that there is abit of randomness to where the family spawns in and victims wont always know where they spawn.

I’m so sick of OP family players crying and complaining that they can’t win easily enough. Skill issue. We’re gonna ignore family RUSHING to the basement to overpower victims? Killers literally win 99% of matches. Killing victims in 4 hits. So let’s stop pretending family is weak.

The discourse is too heavily weighed in Family players favor because they don't want to play a game where they can't see every door being opened or get access to very strong perks less than 30 seconds into the game with blood builds.

I definitely agree with you on all of the topics except the exterior alarms change. I like your idea that it shouldn’t perk with basement doors but I feel like it shouldn’t impact the last victim as much because the 1 vs 3 advantage the family already has. Also playing as victim in that scenario just feels like a suicide mission. So, I think they should make it so exterior only highlights the doors the last standing victim unlocks, not opens. I feel like there could be more mind games with this feature too, making solo escapes that more rewarding and not nerfing exterior too much either. This would be healthy for experienced victims that don’t have a solid team because they might all die in basement leaving you at a disadvantage. However, this could leave some solo queue family to be at a disadvantage because three victims could escape leaving the last victim to have a free escape because all the doors to the exit have been unlocked, leaving exterior to be a useless perk in those scenarios. However, I think the family will just camp those exits already, making those solo escapes harder and leaving exterior at an S tier spot still. Also, to make it clear, exterior would still work as normal in the early game, except it will not highlighting basement exits, and it will just change a little during 1 vs 3. I also agree that the tier system with grandpa shouldn’t have been introduced, they should have just nerfed exterior or find a fix for rushing.

I think they could solve the rushing meta by removing the killers’ besides bubba cutscenes and make bubbas cutscene longer so victims have to wait before starting while the killers set up

I'm a hit and run style. The insta kill on grappling wont help me. Just reducing the stun time to 3 or 4 seconds for all family members would work for me. The CC immunity doesn't mean anything if you can just do a gen, fuse or a bone pile in my face

For fam, reason why they get cut scene and far spawn is because back then all the killers would go into the basement for fast kills because spawns were close and cutscenes were fast. So I agree just take away Leatherface cutscene. For grappling, family need longer immunity from that or choose fight needs a setback like they get stun time but in exchange something useful is negatively impacted for victims like maybe they get the Connie effect, stamina is affected Grandpa perk rework is horrible. perks should've been nerfed instead of put in tiers. Family cutscene should be interrupted when the first door is opened (not unlocked) opened

Also, Nick as you said yourself, the majority of the player base is solo or small 2 people teams. Nerfing victims and buffing family will make a huge impact on their experience. Maybe even to that point, where non-stacked victims will become literally unplayable. The biggest family issue in solo q is not even balance, but sh1tty players who just love to DC at the beginning of the match, or when things go not the way they want. And as Gun said, player behavior is something they sadly cannot fix.

I think the rush meta is influenced for many reasons in the game. The main reason being that the cutscenes for family are obviously longer so victims are trying to take advantage before they set up. But also some victims just dont wanna play stealth and wait for the toolbox animation or picking up a scrap. I think grappling is needed but it should be where fighting certain family members might have a headstart or someone like Johnny or Hands have an advantage.

At 1:54 i literally said the exact same thing, I was talking with someone I usually play the game with and I said that they should only give the leatherface cutscene to leatherface instead of the other family members because it makes more sense since it’s just leather face in that cutscene
