I got burned out of Splatoon 3 pretty quickly, which is strange considering the amount of hours I have on Splatoon 2. Every game of turf war always seems to boil down to who can camp the enemy’s spawn first, and it just isn’t fun. It doesn’t help that because I use my switch so infrequently, by the next time I want to play anything on my switch my switch online will have expired.
honestly? it could definitely use a lot of tweaks and quality-of-life adjustments. Salmon run would benefit ENORMOUSLY from a 'free play' type mode, where you can bring your own weapons and abilities to a salmon run shift. Another aspect of this 'free play' mode would be to upgrade abilities for that shift in similiar fashion to TF2's Mann vs Machine mode. One thing that Nintendo needs to fix ASAP is allowing disconnected players to be replaced by other players online who are in queue. It should not be a gaming feature that people randomly disconnect, leaving a disadvantage for team with one-less player. It's a great game, but it can definitely be better.
random rant but between the xenoblade release swap and dataminers saying “yeah theres stuff in the code to suggest that s3 was rushed” does not help half of the issues this game has in my eyes. this game is a hot mix of polished and yet unfinished and bland update wise and thats why i quit splatoon lol. its just mediocre and sad.
played the ever loving crap out of the first 2 games, like several thousand hours each, splatoon 3 I played a bit for a few months and completely fell out of it. despite the fact there's so many incentives to come back every day, I just stopped caring. It's boring, it's incredibly unstable (wooo boy I love my $30 Nintendo Switch online membership that performs worse than Wii u online) and I don't feel anything when I unlock stuff
Ngl, while Splatoon 3 has a bit of content drought, I've seen ppl compare the post-release content betwween 2 and 3 and they're sround the same amount! I still enjoy S3 and played S2 a lot before that, and while there are problems, I think Nintendo is fixing them (like the maps) surely, but slowly. I think Side Order will be great, but with the amount of time we currently have left (hoping for 1 year content extention, but it's uncertain if that will happen or not as they haven't announced anything other than that it's _planned_ to be 2 years, although that is subject to change), not sure if people will be satisfied with the stuff we get by the end of the update cycle.
Tbh while it is kinda unstable, the boring thing may be subjective, and I think that may be the cause of burnout as well lol considering u played the other 2 games a ton I think the game feels bland at some points due to the fact that everything gets added at the start of the season, rather than throughout it, keeping it fresh (I think the Splatoon 2 kits were distributed weekly, but tbh I didn't really care much back then since I was pretty new to multiplayer when I super got into splatoon) As for it being unstable, I have been experiencing connection errors sometimes but it's not too often but I agree that we shouldn't have to pay a subscription, albeit it being cheaper than other consoles' subscription services. Not entirely sure on how Nintendo handles their online, so not gonna really say "fix their servers", but I'll say that they should improve their networking (although I don't experience lag or connection errors that much)
@@pls_stap_ I really don't think it's burn out because since Splatoon 3's release ive been going back to the first game and it's super fun still, rip Wii U online soon though
@@rizirone i mean they've given us whole new outfits for the idols, multiple new music tracks and similar redesigns of the plaza. the only difference is the absence of the Shifty Stations, which yes are missed but still, Splatoon 3 has all those other things going for is Anyway, I'm sorry you're disappointed with Splatoon 3, it sucks that you've lost interest

We are nearly done with updates and they haven’t addressed my one big issue with the game to make it distinct, a new - permanent - anarchy mode. Literally all the modes can be found in Splat 2 and the bare bones other updates have not done enough to mitigate this…
Bad netcode, terrible maps, terrible update cycles, bland ideas, not using the chaos theme to the fullest, worse splatfest than the previous game, lack of innovation and more. Imagine if we got that fan made concept art for s3 a while back and was made into a full game. Obviously thats just concept fan art, but the ideas there are way more interesting than the ones made in the full game. Point is, this game is flawed by design and the game was rushed so much internally to the point were Nintendo doesn't seem to care 😂
