Ither in the next film or the 3rd act of Transfomers One they could pull the rug under us and have it be super dark.......That would be really clever marketing
Speaking of which, I'm kinda surprised D-16 and Orion Pax besides B-127 on the listings and Optimus Prime never gotten any SS figures yet, guess they'll wait lol.
While not what I was expecting, I’ll certainly give this a shot because it looks fairly interesting. Voice cast sounds fairly decent, Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax was actually pretty good. Animations also pretty good, faces are a little weird but I can get use too it, will say it’s better than EarthSparks. So overall Im looking forward to it, is it perfect? No. But I’ll still be open to see what this film has to offer.
I’m interested to see how Starscream is handled. From the teaser, it seems as though Starscream is (if not outright a Decepitcon) evil from the outset. Perhaps Starscream will be a key manipulator in creating Megatron
I can kind of see Shockwave and Soundwave being loyal to Starscream’s cause at first but when they realize Megatron has a much clearer vision, they turn on Starscream and that paves the road to his extreme jealousy towards Megatron. It could also explain why Starscream is convinced he is the rightful leader of the Decepticons and not Megatron
@@The_Protectors_Universe True. Megatron could attract more followers with his inspiring speeches and make the Decepticons more viable politically. Starscream’s cunning and a strategist, but his ego makes him less effective than Megatron championing a rise of the transformers
I'm just REALLY HOPING there is no stupid song collab. "On My Soul" with the "It's about to go down ON GOD" part in ROTB final fight not only didn't fit AT ALL because the movie takes place in the 90's, but it legitimately sounded and was edited like TRAILER MUSIC. Was embarrassed infront of my friends when we watched it in theaters...
Considering that the reception for Rise of the Beasts was very polarising, I will say that One itself looks promising, but the trailer itself is pretty bad, focusing on the comic relief rather than the action or story with comic punchlines thrown in. I get that with this film, there's a ton of kid appeal, between the artstyle and core premise (It IS being made to sell toys, after all). But the Transformers film series was aimed at teens and young adults, and choosing to focus on the humour in the trailer to the new film, when moviegoers are already split on its predecessor, is not a good move. Plus, the film is being directed by Josh Cooley; an ex-Pixar filmmaker. On the one hand, he did the first Inside Out which is one of Pixar's most beloved films, but on the other hand he did Toy Story 4. So, One could turn out either way, really. As long as Orion/Optimus isn't the psycho he was in ROTB, and the movie itself turns out good, I'll be fine. If it turns out good, it will be one of the four TF films I can happily recommend to people interested (other three being The Transformers: The Movie, TF 2007, and Bumblebee) P.S. Considering you haven't reviewed Rise of the Beasts yet, what are your thoughts? I know from another you despised the final battle and how it cringe-inducingly played rap music. P.S.S. I'll freely admit that comedy is actually a key ingredient of the Transformers recipe, as some of the best shows in the franchise (I.E. Beast Wars and Animated) effectively use humour to defuse tension and/or add to a story. However, One's Trailer's focus on it is pretty odd to say the least.
I too think the film looks promising! I just hope the marketing turns out a bit better before release, maybe they were trying to show off a different tone to help differentiate it from most of the previous live-action films, who knows. As for ROTB, I do plan to review it sometime soon! I woud have done a review when it came out but I just got too busy for it so figured I'd save it for later. Overall, I like the film but I have my issues with it and honestly, it is only above the Last Knight for me in terms of ranking the movies. That sounds damning but I love basically all of the other movies so it isn't as bad as it sounds. I didn't mind the final battle itself, but the use on "On My Soul" really brought the last half of it down.
@@Talon_Productions TBH, after watching the preview clip they put out, I'm more hyped for it now as in context, the comedy does work. I just hope that the next _trailer_ is an improvement. I feel the problem of promising franchise films having bad trailers is growing; I don't need to remind you of Gladiator II, a standalone sequel to Ridley Scott's classic, which has an utterly abominable trailer but looks pretty solid in the film footage. Transformers One is another example as the movie has a ton of potential to be the best entry in the film series since the 2007 film and Bumblebee (haven't seen Dark of the Moon but that is meant to be strong as well), but the initial trailer wasn't very good.
Welp, I did enjoy ROTB alot dispite everything, so I think I'll give this a shot too since I usually felt like the only Transformers fan that's giving the movie a chance sometimes, I know this is also not saying much either but I mean imo I think it would look way cooler than that crossover with G.I.Joe even tho' I still like both of Hasbro's IP's equally in their own ways lol.
Honestly at this point? I just wanted a transformers movie with the style of Love, death and robots and WFC and FOC style with the storyline that is similar to Seven Samurai and Excalibur.
Off topic but hear me out, what if Tim Miller (Love, Death & Robots, Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate) or Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen & Justice League) Direct a Transformers movie😱
@@Talon_Productions I know. I thought it was pretty funny how quickly it went to a critical discussion. I’m pretty much on the same wavelength as you man.
Yes we know, you say the same thing every time. You're burnt out on whatever, want to focus on whatever, and its always someone else's fault. Nothing said here has been bad. Again, stop attacking people for having differing opinions.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 correction: everybody was burnt out by Bayverse because of Paramount’s decisions. Had they never thrown out their original plans for TF5 we could’ve had a proper conclusion to the series by now. But instead, they wanted their own MCU. That in turn led TLK to its ultimate failure and Paramount was forced to scrap 90% of their future plans. The only things they kept were Bumblebee, Transformers One, and Unicron. And it's because of their decisions that many people are unwilling to watch another Transformers movie.
nothing about this appeals to me, except for maybe the background scenery looks fine. i was really hoping this would be good, but its yet another pass for me
i like the action i like the voice casting i like the characters but the aesthetic is really bad. i just dont like how glossy it is and the designs kinda look like if you asked an AI to make a transformer. speaking of the designs they all look the same proportionally and i really don't like that and again enough with the G1 rehashes we're fucking tired man. the tone is not what i expected or wanted at all but then again TF is a kids brand and we've lost sight of that because of shit like IDW so now weirdos on twitter are the dominant portion of the fandom and yeah that's a recipe for disaster so I'm glad they're aiming stuff at kids again. its probably going to be good, way better than rotb clearly however i will not be catching it in theaters. just not my thing
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 People are allowed to differing opinions. It isn't cool to constantly attack people who disagree or have a different view. Getting a little tired of having to say this after getting constant notifications of you antagonizing people.
@@Talon_Productions oh nah dont tell me that fucking guy decided to creep up to people for having free will again. just block him from this channel already he has the capacity of a fucking primate
My thoughts: just… no. Why are we getting the Thor: Love and Thunder of Transformers movies? This movie will be the death of the franchise. So much for those last 40 years! I’ve seen hardcore Transformers fans and non Transformers fans say this looks dumb and I agree.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 oh, I got plenty. Got Rockstar games, Marvel (maybe), some RU-vid content etc. bit sad though, since Transformers was the biggest and first franchise of my life. But I won’t die over not having to see it again.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 yes, I totally 100% said THAT. Because I commented on Talon’s video with the full intention of attacking YOU specifically 😂
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 well, I guess you’re right. But frankly, idk what you’re saying. Like, are you mad that I don’t like Transformers one, or are you mad that I like the Bayverse? Or are you mad because I didn’t bring up Beast Wars? Cause I’m confused on what you want.
