dang I’ve been to literally every goodwill in my area and i usually only come out with one thing. also the prices are literally the prices I would expect for resale or brand new items at goodwill now 😭
Yah plus a lot of the skinny people love to buy larger sizes to wear them “oversized” leaving even less opportunity for the bigger folks to find anything
Our Goodwill is awesome! I got a huge set of le cruset pots and baking pans for $29. I have bought so many pairs of brand new, high dollar cowboy boots for under $20. So much vintage wrangler clothing. My latest score was a pair of seafoam green Free People leather shorty boots still in the box for $14.50.
if your local goodwill seems to be too expensive i would recommend going to a local goodwill bins!! anywhere youll find a goodwill bins there will be a racks right next to it and twice the thrift is always the best. when checking out they go by the pound so you can buy 20 items from any brand of choice or item you can find for extremely cheap! if your worried about germs gloves are always an option!
Goodwill is a multimillion business. I only shop and donate to actual thrift stores, those who give back to the community. And NO! The job services and those for the disabled are not funded by Goodwill but by the government. You need referrals, so they get funding, to use them.
My area sucks but I feel ppl in my state are very fast fashion and consumerism forward. Also I usually am hoping to find very specific styles that just aren't something I'm likely to find on just a random trip. But I'm always able to find beautiful tea cups 😅
In my opinion the price increase is due to resellers. Respectfully, if they get what I consider higher prices on eBay, Poshmark, etc. , goodwill thinks why can’t they. So for those of us buying for ourselves, the price is higher. That means I go on sale days and otherwise look for half price tags. Resellers tell us that so much is thrown away so they are helping. Yes, but maybe I would have scored that coach bag for myself. I still get great stuff. It is what it is.
If you know what you're getting you can still get a good deal. I got Mother's jeans for $8 got a frame leather jacket that is selling on the website for 800. And that's not all the deals I get consistently
Goodwill is crazy I could spend a whole day in there looking at every piece of clothes. I went today and I got 2 pairs of pants, but I skimmed the tops and didn’t even look at the dresses lmaoo
ONCE I ALMOST CRIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORE BECAUSE I FOUND THE CUTEST MAXI SKIRT IN MY SIZE BUT IT WAS FROM SHEIN AND IT BASICALLY FELL APART WHEN I TOCHED IT
😿 I don’t think most are complaining about the quality. They are complaining about the prices. 😿 the last time I went to goodwill I was appalled by the prices. Walked out. I do much better at Salvation Army
Come to mine and see what im talking about... goodwill has become more pricey and if anything ill come out with one piece of clothing. And if your someone whos on the bigger size of clothing you really wont find anything.
vintage forever 21 doesnt exist.. 😂. just a tip.. go to any other thrift store besides goodwill and it will change your life.. goodwill is hands down the worst store .. they take everything good and sell it online. Yes Goodnwill has their own auctions online and the goodnstuff never makes it to the store.
but vintage forever 21 does exist? for something to be considered vintage it needs to be around at least 20 years old and forever 21 has been around for 40
Pp laughing about "Vintage forever 21" Just didnt realise yet that they got old af. Like your dad wearing the Same Jacket since the 80ies wouldnt damit that its Vintage.
