I found that, that Mermaid deck you want to possibly re-home hard to connect to also. I found that the gateway to get into the deck is through the back of the card. Put the card above your head and imagine your immersed in the realm under water looking up toward the sun. Sounds strange but after that it gave me great readings.
I was so excited when I read the title: oh wow, Lisa is finally bringing out her robots. LOL at how different our ideas of time travel are! For me it means dystopian future with cyborgs and total anarchy. I would never have thought about the past ROFL!!!
Smith-Waite Centennial's totally my favourite version for study too. The Radiant Wise Spirit has, unexpectedly, become a go-to deck for bringing camping. The sturdy box means I can toss it in my pack, and the glossy cardstock (which I don't like for shuffling) means they're kind of 'wipe-able' if they get dirty. Also -- Tyldwick *is* being reprinted! There will be some changes (not to the art, but a bit to the backs, packaging, and maybe edging, to keep the 1st editions limited), but there will be a 2nd edition! I'm glad because I missed the first. The full update is on the creator's website which is now being updated by I believe a relative of the creator. ❤️😊
That's such a great point about the Radiant Wise being good for camping!! I can totally see what you mean there! Exciting about the reprint of Tyldwick!
Hi Lisa...I just discovered your channel recently and I have gained so much information on my future purchases of tarot decks. You do an amazing job reviewing decks and make it so much easier for me to make that purchase. I have purchased one too many decks that I have regretted and wished I had went with one of my other choices! Yessss Lisa The Moonchild is soooooo time travel/ vintage for me. And dreamworlds - one of the reasons I love this deck is that it reminds me of dreamscapes as well as past life and present life experiences I've had - I can't even express how much this placement resonates with me. I literally walked up some of those steps in dreams and I know the energies - and they remind me of various experiences I relate to as Emily but also, some that I just can't place in my current life - it's honestly just an incredible deck for me - I almost feel it's like an oracle for me - strangely because this was the next tarot deck I ever got after an RWS deck. I loved this video. So many decks resonate.... My mum is an ex-art teacher and an art lecturer at the national gallery and I know she will be interested in the Leonardo Divinci deck I am so preordering that for her. She is a little fearful around the traditional tarot imagery because of religion etc but she's just like me - she's always making aromatherapy blends and using herbal infusions and she's part of the environmental committees local to her - she's totally a witch but so much of the language around nature-based religions is frightening to her and so many people and seeing it IRL really shows just how pervasive some lies from the patriarchy have been over these last few hundred years. I'm rabbiting now but honestly just wanted to say I loved this video Lisa - something about this one particularly is speaking to my soul. I can't seem to connect with my Ciro Marchetti Gilded Tarot. Tempted to re-home it. I've had it for 2+ years and have never used it. It's so lovely but we just don't get on together. The Mermaid Tarot by Leesa Robinson is currently iny axon cart. the Little Mermaid wasy absolute favorite childhood movie and I feel it resembles the movie. However, I'm tempted by Dame Darcy. Gaaaah. The decisions 😆
I have the Legacy of the devine deck one of my very first decks as well. ..Sadly I never connected to it. However, you saying it has a masculine feel to it may have a point. Maybe I'll try again.
I've never owned a RWS deck and I'm not expecting that to change. Closest I got was Modern Witch. It didn't vibe with me and I'm returning it. I dont know what it is, the more true to RWS decks just don't vibe with me. So yeah, I'll continue to be a Weird reader. 🤷🏻♂️
Lol, I saw the bag and went "that looks like a good bag for the Moonchild deck" and then, what would you know, that's what was in it. Lol Read with it just the other day, found that the King of Pentacles is a Me card. So that was a nice, new piece of information, I feel it adds to my birth cards nicely.
Aw man that woulda been great in this category. I think I put that with my dark/shadowy decks cuz it's so seasonal for me but VERY 1950's you're right!
I have been on the verge of getting rid of my Anna K but luckily I ultimately changed my mind. It's perfect for the winter season and it's such a good reader. In one of your past episode, you said you would think about whether to keep the Fairy Tale deck by Baba Studio or not. Still thinking of rehoming it?
