Finally! Someone who focuses on the fact that 4b/4c hair can take YEARS to appear long when it’s curly. I just reached my 5th year of being heat free, dye feee, and relaxer free, and only now have my curls finally touched my back; although, when it’s straight it’s to my butt now! Still, even that took 5 years. Patience is everything.

Unfortunately a lot of people go natural hoping to having type 3 hair and forget the point of the natural hair movement which is embracing, learning, and loving your natural hair no matter the texture. I have even heard a woman say I don't have the hair to go natural. 🤔
@8ThatUp2
@8ThatUp2 6 лет назад
ANGUILLA20 I was the opposite. I knew that I wouldn't have loose curly hair😂 I expected to have 4c hair and I was looking forward to it but my hair is not 4c but it is type 4 because it's a mixture of the curl patterns.

Your hair is beautiful. I think the biggest problem that black women have is that oftentimes it is hard to find someone who really knows black hair. Even licensed hair stylish may not know hair as much as you.
@jasminevaliente96

Dr. Emory Carl Sims I mean the fact that somw are dependent on Stylist to do their hair is a problem in its self if you really want your hair to grow you have to learn how to maintain it yourself because the average black women or heck the average woman can't afford to be going to the stylist every day.

Dr. Emory Carl Sims. She knows HER hair. So-called 4c hair is very diverse. It isn't all the same-- it behaves differently depending on many factors e.g. Porisity (moisture retention ability), density, genetics, hormonal factors, resistant level of coils etc..

Love your hair, sure it has its own glow. Well I have curly and straight hair! I am finally learning how to treat my hair! Using garlic is great for hair growth. It is packed with minerals and nutrients. Its important to find something that works and stick with it. Cut up the bulb of garlic and scrub it in your scalp! Leave it in for two days and wash it out! Garlic will act as a conditioner and it will train your hair to grow! You have to train your hair.

@@Tattanose6 I disagree. I've never been on this page and am still watching the video. This looks like a simple flat twist or braid out to me. I do my hair like this all the time. The hair must be completely DRY to achieve this big crinkly style look. I don't think it's solely based on a person's genes.

I agree that a lot of people go natural expecting to have type 3 hair. It's really important that people learn to work with and not against your hair texture and porosity. 4a/4b/4c are all beautiful and capable of so many styles, we need to celebrate the diversity in our community and help remove the stigmas that come with more tightly coiled hair. black is beautiful, I wish more black men and women (esp in the US) embraced what makes us beautiful.
@holistic7980
@holistic7980 5 лет назад
Eating healthy and drinking lots of water is key too. All natural hair is beautiful we were all created differently and have different hair types too so comparing doesn't make sense you're great the way God created you as a unique individual. I feel Media create a lot of trouble sometimes for money I learnt to ignore it be content with what you have.

I agree, it does nothing to clean the hair. If anything you’re just putting conditioner on your hair, not an actual cleanser. It’s lowkey dumb.
@loveprize4272
@loveprize4272 5 лет назад
You misunderstood what cowashing is for. Cowashing is like a moisturer and partly a cleanser. You're right it doesn't get rid of everything and it isn't supposed to. For me it keeps my scalp clean and not too oily, helps with reducing product buildup, and allows me to deep condition afterwards.

I use this same regimen. I do use a heating cap and I us As I am Products: Coconut Cowash, the leave in conditioner, the double butter cream. I do use the Shea moisture castor oil line for my deep conditioner because my hair loves it. Bit I do use the hydration deep conditioner with As I Am. Like you said, hair products lines are meant to work with each other. I do use the hair growth oil with Curly Proverbz, along with her green tea rinse and henna. I have noticed a decrease in hair shed for me using her line with just those three products. My hair has become much healthier with a regimen and 2018 is the year I said I would be better about trimming my ends and having consistency with them. Love love love this video. New subie 😘❤

If you rinse in cool water to close your cuticles and lock in moisture as you say, how do you reopen your cuticles for your deep conditioner and after when applying creams/oils/leave ins?
@jasminevaliente96
@jasminevaliente96 6 лет назад
Mercy Nerestant you're not supposed to rinse your hair with cool water until after you deep condition
@jasminevaliente96
@jasminevaliente96 6 лет назад
Also creams and oils are to seal in moisture so it's not necessary to reopen your cuticle for that the molecules in creams and oils are too large to get into your hair shaft anyways

No offense but the type 4 in MY OPINION looks way better then the type 3. The curl pattern is more tight and curly and bouncy vs 3 is loose and looks to me like a perm rod set that’s dropping from all long day. Just saying ladies love and embrace your type 4 hair because it is soooooo beautiful..

I Like how you showcased your regimen but then at the same time you push the fact that everyone’s different & you gotta love ur hair & learn wat works for it. Like on here a lot of ppl swear by castor oil but my hair cant Handel it turns hard stiff but give me some coconut 🥥 oil my hair just melts & becomes soft & coily and then add some Shea the moisture latest for days. Overall great tips I wanna try tht Shea oil 👀love ur hair too 😍

Ok please I need help when I first big chopped in 6th grade(in 9th grade now) I didn’t know and I still don’t know my curl pattern it well it is curly of course but when I tried to stretch it wouldn’t it would just stay like that it was easy to Comb and it would grow but people would often say I pot on a something cause it don’t look” natural” it would often look like I just put a hat so in 8th grade I started texlaxing my hair and this year the stylist “ accidentally” relaxed my hair so I’m planning on doing the long term transitioning my new growth is already showing but it doesn’t look like any curl pattern I’ve seen in just gonna wait until July cause that’s when I’ll be checking my hair and seeing how the new growth has changed but you really are helping me with your vids thank you😊🙏🏽❤️

Btw all that hair you shed is a good thing. It means your hair is growing healthy. As with skin, we shed all and new comes out. Hair does the same. Your hair is thriving.

Candice Shorter hey sweetheart. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and the hair has a growth cycle of 2 to 5 years. People say they want waist-length hair but unfortunately if your hair sheds after let's say the 2-year mark, it may only make it to armpit length. I hope I'm making sense.
