@@AbbeyYung deep pink is also so gorg on you! There was a string of videos you posted where it was all brown tops and I said “yessss Abbey she gets it” 😂
@@AbbeyYungI’m just curious, have you done any of the seasonal color analysis tests? I think cool / summer tones seem to suit you, but you’re also able to pull off warm tones (like your more warm honey colored hair), so I’m curious
I only tried this cleanser because of abbey’s initial review. This cleanser is my HG. I cannot get over how much I love everything about it: feels so good to use, beautiful packaging, great price point. Amazing product.
Abbey, I really love this about you! You're always so honest and genuine!! Most beauty channels recommend the latest and trending products, and not always the latest and greatest. I love how you do a mix of the latest products you love but also include your tried and true products!!
Queen Abbey has posted again!!! Thank you for working so hard to provide us QUALITY and HONEST content! You’re the only beauty guru I trust. You’ve never steered me wrong 💕
I was watching your video and my brother was at my house and he said “omg you will never change always watching beauty videos on RU-vid” this just made me think that I always appreciate learning from other people like you and especially today with TikTok and all information coming to us in a very fast pace I still appreciate sitting down and relaxing watching a good RU-vid video! Love you Abby x Also off topic but would love to see a video in future about your favourite makeup brushes (on the hunt for good ones)
Here is a long and unrequested opinion: Abbey you have said a couple of times you use daily, on your morning routine, the bye bye breaouts serum to improve your texture. I was surprised you use a chemical exfoliator daily. It goes against every single advice that skin care experts give: don´t over exfoliate. However, thanks to these videos I realized why my tretinoin routine wasn´t working and not only that but making my skin worse. My main goal with the use of tretinoin is to improve the appearance of pores and sings of aging. Being my skin on the dry and sensitive side, it was definitely a struggle to figure out how to avoid peeling and irritation so what I did was to apply heavy creams and ointments on my night routine and decrease the frequency of exfoliation to once a week. I also made the mistake of following a skin care fanatic advice who said to not wash you face in the morning. And yes, I avoided peeling for sure. However, my results were not good at all. First of all, I didn’t see any result from tretinoin even though I was able to apply it every night without peeling for more than 6 months. My pores not only got bigger and more congested, but I developed this bumpy texture with close comedons all over my forehead, cheek and chin. And not only that, since gravity did its job, all that heavy cream and ointment went to the upper area of my neck and that combined with not washing my face in the morning made me developed this closed white bumpy heads all over my neck. Thanks to your updated skin care routine, I made some changes: I incorporated a salicylic acid cleanser (COSRX - Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser) and yes I went back to washing my face in the morning time. I use a 2% salicylic acid toner (Isntree - Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid) every morning on my neck and cheeks, and 3 times a week on the forehead, nose and chin. I still use tretinoin every night and my heavy creams and an ointment (Cerave Healing Ointment) to avoid peeling but I definitely apply less product. I apply on my whole face except when I am applying on my cheeks, I only apply on my cheekbone area, I know it will migrate down. I incorporated a vitamin C in the morning which has an antibacterial component (Melano CC premium essence) which I think works wonders with the salicylic toner to keep my pores super clean and tight. In regard to my neck, I don’t apply tretinoin in that area, I apply differin 0,3% because the situation is that bad. I apply it every night and no I am not peeling at all even though the skin in that area is supper thin my neck is so congested that after two weeks of exfoliating every morning and using adapalene every night my skin has just start to purge, and finally I see those close comedons opening up and the gunk coming out (disgusting but satisfying) and no I don’t pick them. For the rest of my face, I can say for sure those changes are working really well; I am now seeing my texture improving, the condition of my pores is improving drastically, so much so I do not see any pores on my cheekbone area where I had a lot. Anyway, I just want to thank you for the valuable information you provide every time, even though I don’t use the exact same routine I think you guidance is super valuable to see positive results.
Def add 10% niacinamide on top of the bha. The combination of bha+10% niacinamide has shrunk my pores sooo much! I've tried 10% niacinamide from many brands but for some reason only the paulas choice one gives me amazing results! They formulate it perfectly! Even lab muffin beauty on RU-vid mentioned she only saw results with the paulas choice compared to other brands. So def try bha+niacinamide combo it's amazing for pores!
Thanks for explaining the products you use and your new routine. I haven't been washing my face in the morning and my skin is peeling from tretinoin. I need to try this out
That Scinic sunscreen is the BEST! And so affordable and easy to get on Amazon. Thanks so much for recommending it! I'm obsessed and not turning back 😊 Merry Christmas Abby and Elsie!! 🐕 🐶 ❤
I'm also totally obsessed with that sunscreen, it's incredible for the price point!! I haven't gotten the opportunity to wear it out on a hot summer day just yet. Do you all find that it's effective (a true SPF 50)? Sometimes I get nervous about the effectiveness of Korean sunscreens that are so cheap.
thank for mentioning tobocco sunscreen fragrance, it smells like a fresh garden, but it makes me nauseous for some reason. be aware. but my husband likes the smell, so try it before you get it.
I love the Laneige vanilla lip sleeping mask. Vanilla is my favorite scent in skincare overall. Very tempted to try the Gleanser as well because I love the silky milky cleansers just like you. Also have the Kopari cream as well as the G&G liquid hydration. For a silky milky body wash I would suggest you try out Naturium's Glow Getter multi-oil gel body wash and Bioderma's Cleansing Oil (in the big jug). Both are wonderful and have very light, refreshing scents.
Hi Abbey. I think it depends on your environment.. where we live truly matters when it comes to the different experiences we can have with skincare specifically something that has 50% glycerin. I have normal to dry skin but it’s cold and this Prequel cleanser does not work for me ( it’s drying) in this environment but in the summer it’s really great and I love it!! I guessed most of this:)
The clinique moisture surge lip mask completely blows the laneige out of the park please try it! It's the only balm that actually has ingredients to repair chapped lips not just a temporary fix so I don't even have to use it everyday it's amazing!!! Can't sing it's praises enough!
@@AbbeyYung Moisture Surge™ Lip Hydro-Plump Treatment- this is the full name! it's thick and to be used overnight as opposed to during the day. it's amazing no matter how badly chapped my lips are (skiing wind chapped to the point of being incredibly painful) this will heal it in just 1 or 2 nights!
I feel like 2023 was the year I got my solid morning and night skincare routine down pact. I have you to thank for getting me into apostrophe and the it cosmetics bye bye breakout serum. Definitely steps that have improved my acne and skin discoloration.
Hey Abbey! I have a quick question I was hoping you could answer. So, I’m using the Ouai Detox Clarifying Shampoo. I know that you recommend shampooing twice, but if you are using a clarifying shampoo, do you still need to? Please help me because I want to do what’s best for my hair. I know that this is nothing related to the video, however, I knew you were more likely to respond if I commented on one of your recent ones. ❤❤hope you can help! 🫶🏼
So many great recs and so many of my obsessions. Absolutely love anything from Geek & Gorgeous and I only started using them since October. I'm seriously obsessed over their Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm (best one I've tried), Jelly Joker Cleanser, Happier Barrier Moisturizer, Vit C, and Stress Less Serums. I've been using DRMTLGY Need-less and their Tinted SPF for over a year now and can't get enough of it. Since last Amazon Prime Day, I bought the Laneige Vanilla Lip Mask and love it. I have it on right now! Ok, and that Antimicrobial Mist is a game changer; especially as someone who still wears masks. Now I want to try G&G Liquid Hydration mist and recently purchased the COSRX Snail Mucin Eye Cream - because why not. You are the best! Keep the recs coming!
Okay but how do people finish their lip sleeping masks?!? I’ve had the same laneige tub since 2020 and can’t wait till it’s over to try the vanilla flavor 😂 love you Abbey ❤❤
Your videos make me sooo sooo excited and relaxed to watch! I'm in med school so skincare is my happy place. I'd love for you to try the CosRx Hyalaronic Acid intensive cream... it's my holy grail!
Just an FYI, the way you listed ingredients, the grey, does not work ...makes it really hard to see and read. 😊. Also, have you made a non hyaluronic acid face care video?? I have bad break outs with that acid that was wondering if there are other helpful products out there for people like me. Love your channel...keep up with all the great info! 😊
I think I’m gonna try the geek & gorgeous mist!! I’ve been using a stronger retinol & have had to go back to 2-3 TOPS times a week, never 2 nights in a row & while I love that I can tell it’s effective I’ve had to redo some other parts of my routine. I usually use Paula’s BHA toner but I want another reparative, moisturizing one. Haven’t been sure which to pick. I’ve been eyeing the cream laneige toner but think I’ll start with that one first. I LOOOVE how much info you put in these videos & how you explain what the main ingredients do. Sooo helpful!!!
Abbey I’d love to see you try Naked Sunday’s new SPF 50 Glow + Go Lip Oil. They have a few shades but the spf count is really intriguing to me. Also the australis lip glaze. Actually I think you’ve already reviewed that.. but try the australis lip glaze
I was disappointed by the lip mask. I think Andalou Naturals' 1000 Roses lip mask is superior. However, it has no fragrance, which might be a deal breaker for you 😂
This just made me realize I have no idea where my lip sleeping mask is. I will say, this is probably in part because I didn’t love it like I felt I should. I also don’t remember why. The best lip treatment I’ve found so far is actually La Roche Posay. Forget the exact name, but it’s just a twist stick.
Love the video! As a newer follower, I have learned you have been on a hair journey and WOW, your hair is GORGEOUS ❤. I am curious what you specifically like the Cerave Healing Ointment for please.
I followed the link for PreQuel cleanser but was shocked to see their promotional video features a blonde woman with ABBEY’S audio duped in🤨 I’m not interested in supporting a company that will fraudulently present Abbey’s work as their own. (If I’m missing something here, please correct me‼️)
Happy Wednesday Abbey! I know this is for skin wanted to know if hair needs a sunscreen especially bleached/colored hair! Thank you 🙏 Have a Merry Christmas 🎄
What would you suggest for a J-Beauty or K-Beauty for a sunscreen for a person with Rosacea. I can’t have fragrance, niacinamide , and would prefer to also try to stay away from Hylaronic acid.
ABBY I tried the Pantene volume shampoo left hair wet in a messy bun. Took bun out hair is soft very clean. I used a Micheal Anthony hair mask and styling lotion.
I would love your thoughts on the Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack. They do a vanilla that is very lightly scented. It is less expensive than the Laneige and IMHO is much more hydrating and moisturizing. It is a k-beauty brand. Love all your videos and appreciate your honesty and hard work. Many blessings!💖💖💖
Could you please review CHI Luxury haircare? I don't see people talking about it but it's often recommended by hairstylists where I live and it's not super expensive.
Hey Abbey! I was wondering if you have or if not can make a favorites of facial cleansers? Lately my skin has been really struggling and I've noticed my skin always feels extremely dry and tight after cleansing. This weather is not helping my case either, so I was curious what your recommendations are?
ABBEYYYY P-I-L-L-I-N-G help a girl out im going to keep requesting lol your recs have helped me out so much im not even kidding redline acid bonding -yes prequel-just bought it. keep up the great work
Hey Abbey, this was super helpful, thanks for sharing your thoughts on these. I was checking out all the products in the description, and realized you added ‘Current Body Red Light Therapy Face Mask’. I couldn’t find you talking about this in your video though, can you pls share your experience with this one as well?
Abbey you are the best, I love all your posts!! BTW your skin looks phenomenal !!! I am going to try a facial oil and I have been hearing lots about the Merit one and the Rituel de Fille one .. they are quite expensive, but I am willing to give them a go ... I would be very interested (and very grateful!) to hear your (or fellow Abbey subscribers) thoughts and recommendations. BTW You are rocking the Skims .. that colour is lovely on you. Thank you. x
Hi Abbey! I have a question. Would i be able to use the It cosmetics bye bye breakout serum with my vitamin c (I use the obagi vitamin c serum) If so would I apply it before or after my vitamin c? Also, the Naturium peptide moisturizer has vitamin c in it correct? Would that paired with the bye bye breakouts serum work as well? I’m specifically targeting texture and breakouts.
hey guys! lets boycott brands that STILL test on animals please :) cetaphil, cerave, laneige, la roche posay, and makeup brands like maybelline, loreal, etc all are NOT CRUELTY FREE
Keep in mind these brands sell all over the world. The US generally agreed that animal testing is a no-no, but countries like China still requiere animal testing before products can be sold. A happy medium that some people follow is so long as a brand doesn’t test on animals in the US they consider the brand cruelty-free by US standards.
Do you want them to test on humans only? Men? Women? Children? Agree I'm not a fan of animal testing so I guess the solution is to only use human Guinea Pigs then sit back & wait for the lawsuits.
Does anyone else think of that Lego movie song “everything is awesome” when they see everyone doing the same Tandy things? Example “Stanley cups” every coworker has one in a different shade? Is it not strange?
How in the world did you finish TWO of the Laneige Lip Sleeping Masks?? I'm about a quarter through my first one and am realizing just how much product there is in those jars! What a wild value! Great list - Merry Christmas Abbey! ❤
Abbey do you have any physical only sunscreen recommendations? I would love to be kind to the ocean and have a sunscreen I look forward to using at the same time!
I used the Cetaphil cleanser daily for months but now I'd say maybe like 4-5 times a week? jut because I forget some days since it's one I like to use in the shower lol
Laneige sleeping mask wears of quickly and leaves my lips even dryer. Dr Dray has the same issue. It’s not as hydrating as they make it out to be. I think it’s all smoke & mirrors.
You have no acne at ALL why in the world would you use acne products at ALL oh my goodness so cray cray 😵💫 I'm sorry but I always think less is more and if you don't have anything going on which you most definitely do not and if you do it's not much.... 😘 I would think you're just aggravating the skin by using products that are for acne a lot of these products have ingredients that are triggering and drying that can in return cause acne I mean I've used acne products that can and will cause acne because they're so strong especially if you have sensitive skin and I do and you said you do as well anyways my motto LESS IS MORE And texture issues sound more like a good serum and face lotion or cream that would help I get maybe using a sensitive skin acne product on your chest area at times but if your face is smooth and not much there I really think these acne products can be drying and cause more issues just be careful with them is ALL I'm saying and if you have not much going on I wouldn't use them often not everyday that's for SURE 😉
