Really liked the video and info on your wild hunts!! My best find so far is Silver Surfer #3 last summer at a antique shop for...$2.00!!! I couldn't pay quick enough and get the hell outta there!
I have a similar story with an FF 5. A little over a year ago I had a CGC 6.0 copy with off-white to white pages. I bought it for a little over two grand and flipped if for a quick profit of $3200. Now that book a year later is worth 10K. I'm kicking myself.
Fantastic video Gary! I’ve been following you for awhile and you make awesome contributions to this community via videos, live-streams and sales. Good work man!
Your total cost of buying the raw wild books and getting them graded compared to the current CGC price...only thing missing from this video. Nice video.
wow , only been a subscriber a couple months, going thru alot of your older videos, 15 months later all these prices have tripled! mind blown, i'd tell you the story about my Xmen #4 I sold raw about 2 years ago (mid grade ) but if i actually typed the words id throw myself out a window, thanks for the great content.
I understand selling to keep the hobby/business growing, but dang it has to be hard to move off of some of those...personally the Giant Sized XMen...sigh...
Dude it must be so exciting flipping through hundreds of books in a collection and finding one of these top 10. I can picture myself losing it if I was to find a Hulk 181.
Hello Gary. All nice books, and I am jealous. Congrats. You should give a class or tutorial on cleaning and pressing on RU-vid. I would like to learn on how to do that. What do you think? Stay safe.
OMG im just watching this video now. Cant believe how cheap these books were a year ago compared to now. Maybe in another year they will go back down there.
Another great video man, love this channel. I really want to start getting out and searching for more Golden and Silver age comics. There's so many I would love to just have in my collection.
U know I've said wild for awhile but never thought about where I heard it first I'd imagine it's a fairly new term we use either way nice avengers 4 Garry
Whaou, what a fantastic top 10. You'll excuse my english, i'm french. I discovered your chanel recently and i subscribed right away. Amazing chanel and videos. Keep going like that.
Found fantastic four 48 got it for 100 but when I got it home I realized someone wrote 125 on cover, amazing Spider-Man 300 in wild think I payed for it 15 to 25 for it little over 22 years ago in Ohio problem with cards and comics worth this much you need find buyer sell them to they are worthless if you can’t find someone buy them if you plan sell them later on in years
What would have been the value of the book in 6.0 Restored? Versus the 5.5 blue label? I would think that the higher grade is always better. Is there somewhere I can find the S.O.P.'s on how they decide grading?
How much are you spending in a collection that can yield finds like this? Do these people always know what they have... How can a typical scenario/ transaction go??
@@VeryGaryComics omg that's awesome! I thought I found fantastic four 67 yesterday in PA at a shop bargain box. Quickly realized it was just marvel comics group #50. Joy turned to disappointment quick.
I like seeing videos like this but if you could tell us the price you got the books for would be better...You could of bought the ASM #129 for $800...it would be cool to find out what awesome deal you got.
Do you think moving some of those books was a good move in hindsight, or do you wish you would have held on to some of them?. In other words do you have any regrets or moves you would have done differently knowing what you know now?
I don't believe so. Right on CGC's website just scroll down and that's where you can put in a serial number. After you enter it the next page will tell you all about the book and give you the option to purchase the graders notes.
@@VeryGaryComics Sweet. Ok here is a follow up question and possibly a video idea, but what are pressable defects? like a list of things that for sure can be pressed if Im either A) looking at the comic at a con floor, or B) purchase the grader's notes.
I don't collect video games but I wouldn't mind having a zelda for nes graded. This isn't my full time job. I just do it for fun and to support my hobby.
