Jenna and Connor is probably one of my favourite couples. It honestly was so sweet. Ali and Dallas is also my favourite, I feel like they both really needed each other to grow to be better people. I also knew that Sean and Ellie was gonna be in your top three.

Glad to find someone else who likes Miles and Tristan 😭 like I don’t care for Tristan as a character overall but their relationship was probably one of my favorites on the show. Maybe because Miles is my favorite character in Next Class. I’m just a sucker for the trope of “I don’t know if I like this gender as a whole but I like this specific person”.
When you mention Maya and Zig being another Emma and Sean i can argue that Clare and Eli also somewhat fit that mold too Tidy and neat girl with troubled boy Working class backgrounds Emotional and/or mental issues They all face some sort of trauma at one point in the show The show did parallel/analog characters alot. Emma - Clare - Maya, Eli has a mix of Craig and Sean and Zig being more patterned off of Sean. Manny - Alli, Paige - Holly J - Zoe, etc. EDIT: Also they did the "planting drugs in locker" storyline with Clare and Eli but instead with Imogen planting drugs in Clare's locker Also odd how every girl Adam was with or interested in (besides Fiona since she later came out as gay) went with Drew.........ugh
I kind of really loved the snobby young republican vibes Declan-Holly J gave off. I was almost sad that the breakup kind of came to a head because there was the sense of her not being from the same world as him.
i’m so glad someone agrees with me about miles and tristan! i would have loved if the writers had more faith in them in next gen and the sayonara miles hollingsworth scene is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE

I'm so glad to see Manny and Jay on this list. Craig/Manny will always hold a special place in my heart, simply because the chemistry between those two is palpable as heck, but I love the *hard* change in Manny as a character in her relationship with Jay. She went from being so entranced with the idea of love and idolizing any guy she ended up being in a relationship with; and the moment they showed her any kind of flaws that threatened her fantasy, Manny was just kind of done. With Jay... All of his past mistakes were upfront, so she probably thought there wasn't any chance she'd fall in love with him. And she treated him with a no-nonsense kind of attitude that reminds me of Smallville's Lois Lane. Also loved the character development in Jay. He did a lot of backsliding into his old ways, but eventually came out of it on the better end. They're really good for each other. Season 7 was pretty meh, but their relationship was for sure a highlight for me." Just wondering: do you have any plans to reveal your favorite/most hated Degrassi friendships? No pressure. No rush. You could just tell with Zig that Maya was his person. Even from the beginning it just felt like other people came between them because they were jealous of the something real between them. It was palpable.
I used to absolutely hate Dallas, but Alli brought out the total best in him. 💖💖 Jenna and Connor are one of my favorites, too! Their first date absolutely blew my mind, it was so romantic. :)
I think the reason u preferred zig and maya over sean and emma is bc they actually have a developed storyline and yeah I love them together also love allie and Dallas ellie and sean and unpopular opinion holly j and sav 😩
I think dating Declan was a perfect part of Holly J's redemption arc in Degrassi and they had enough in common to make sense while still having their own interest. Plus Declan having to work for something for once was good to see. They made each other better. Jay and Manny came out of left field in some ways but they really worked in an odd sort of way. Maya and Zig had a connection from the first day they met. They were almost always there for each other in major moments.(side note: I am a Sean and Emma fan but rewatching I think there's something to Emma and Spinner ending up together). JT and Liberty had such a slow build in the beginning and I always bawl when JT dies. Jenna and Connor were perfect for each other. I didn't expect them to work but they did. Drew and Bianca made each other better and gave them both a maturity they needed. I don't like that they broke up but I think for the stages of life they were in it made sense. I like to think they got back together later. Alli and Dallas worked because Dallas grew up and he helped her out in a lot of ways. I hated the Leo storyline other than the opportunity for Dallas to come back into Alli's good graces. The way he made Leo listen to Alli and protected Alli was so sweet. I also liked Darcy and Peter together, they deserved a chance to be together without drama and without her falling apart. Watching Peter be there for Darcy and help her the best way he could showed a different side of him. I loved when he went to that camp to support Darcy after her parents tricked her and when she finally admitted what happened he told her to imagine the basted sitting in the chair and tell him how you feel.
I actually really like Tristen. My big problem with Miles and Tristen is that for a lot of their time together, Miles treats Tristen like garbage. I feel like Tristen deserved better and Miles should get a lot of therapy and date himself for a long while before he is with anyone
i was side eyeing thinking about zig and maya because of the situation with cam but the maturity and zig having a more fleshed out character definitely hits different
i think claire and eli shouldve replaced manny and jay i hate jay with a fiery passion or they also couldve replaced Drew and Bianca i dont like either of those characters either lol

I saw the thumbnail. I just don't like Drew. Yeah the actir was striking but he was a jerk and matured but blew it all datinb Adam's girlfriend. That was gross stopped watching Degrassi since.

But damn I get Claire and Eli had their problems but they r like the most inconc Degrassi couple lmao. I agree tho Alli and Dallas are great. One thing I wish they did was give Anya something outside of Sav (fuck Owen). Same with Sav. I really liked him with Holly J but it wasnt serious. Lowkey honorable mention is Spinner and Emma if they had actual development
I think u were obsessed with Declan and Holly J bc Holly J is amazing, the best character, and she had the best storyline ever… I love Janny Maya and Zig is good… I agree with u on that. They work with each other and balance each other out. Also both of them got so much better in season 13/14 Drianca is amazing The whole top three is pretty good
Personally, I hated Alli and Dallas as a couple (I would have preferred to see her eventually with the version of Johnny we saw in season 10), but I adored Tristan and Miles, so super glad to see them feature on this list.
my top 3 degrassi couples are bianca/drew, sean/ellie and holly j/sav. all icons. i can't ship tristan and miles at ALL, i just can't. i like miles but until the very end, tristan was so so biphobic, it irks me so much as a bisexual person myself. i can't imagine being with someone that hates me and my sexuality so much ngl
They were going back and forth like Eli and Clare plus the whole Lola incident really ruined it for me like nah Miles is just a player who'll never change and Tristan is the guy who'll always come running back
