Hi Martin, Assuming you keep your records in alphabetical order, this video is an open description for burglars of how to find the big money amongst your shelves. I hope you have good locks on your windows. Oh, Wow, Nice. Congrats on the great deal of that Clear Blue Sky album. I'm completely envious. I've just had a listen and it sound like a great album. Actually Martin, if you wake up in the night to somebody moving about in your house, I'll be the one with with tights on my head sneaking away with that record... Great show mate. Well done.

Here in Canada I bought a UK import 1st vinyl pressing of White Stripes Elephant double album back in 2003 with a red and white colored discs I believe that variant goes for around $150 today.

My absolute favourite album. That’s a cool pressing, I don’t usually have multiple copies of one album but if I ever find it at a decent price I’m picking it up.

It's hard to tell on the video, but the Black Sabbath and Clear Blue Sky look to be in GREAT condition, so they're probably worth considerably more than the average price! Great collection!!! I just discovered your channel...just subbed!

Thanks for subbing. Clear blue sky is in great condition, the only problem was the vertigo sleeve was all torn up, the black sabbath is probably at VG+ at best.

Spotting the Growers Of Mushroom record in the background my first thought was "well its obvious which record is this guys most expensive" so Im assuming that is the reissue? Cheeky play either way haha!

I wandering when someone was going to notice 😆. They are all reissues behind me and originals are really expensive. The leaf hound record can go for £3000. Again well done for noticing 👍

I know how you feel about that era of Vertigo records. I once found a Juicy Lucy 'Lie Back and Enjoy it', fold out cover, original Vertigo swirl label and inner sleeve. Found it for a pound at a charity shop in Oxford. I also found a well worn Vertigo original of Paranoid, sold it for $90 and it was in 'fair' to 'good' condition at best. Clear Blue Sky was a very nice find.

Juicy Lucy!!! They are great band and that album is amazing. Iv hardly ever see them at in the wild and when I do they are never in my price range. Thanks for watching Brian, if you haven’t already don’t forget to subscribe because I have another vertigo press in my next video.

That's a stunning looking copy of Clear Blue Sky...congrats on that bargain. Never ever scored online like that and I've been buying online for nearly 20 years. I had to pay considerably more for my copy. Love the Ramases lp, really unique. I'm actually a bigger fan of their 2nd lp...an absolute gem.

Cheers Nigel! I’m still not over ‘clear blue sky’ I’m constantly looking at it. Don’t think I’ll ever get that lucky again. Like I said in the video get some saved searches on the go. Ramses second is 🔥 🔥 🔥

I have the Aussie clear blue sky, it's the same but no gatefold, don't know why , most of the Aussie ones have the gatefold,I guess they were not a big name.
@martinsvinyl1985
@martinsvinyl1985 2 года назад
Hi Richard, I love the swirl, if I don’t have it I’m buying it 😂. You need to make a video yourself showing off your records, I bet you have some absolute killers in there.

@@martinsvinyl1985 I should do that, not a big tech guy ,lol, but I'm sure it's pretty easy, I shouldn't boast about my records,but I do love those vertigo swirls, about twenty years ago I found Fairfield parlour,and that got me buying more of them,there is a OZ Vertigo comp, called the Vertigo trip, which the guy I lived with in the 80s had,it's a double, we were sort of hippies buying all this old psych and heavy rock, although it took me a while to start collecting Vertigos, I just buy em when I see them like you, but they got me into collecting in a different way, started buying record collector mag etc, love all that Vertigo,harvest, Neon, Dawn,etc etc,I love UK pressings, better quality than Aussie ones,like sixties stuff too and listen to a fair bit of jazz, I'm waiting for some money,an inheritance actually then I won't be such a poor artist,lol,I paint sort of psychedelic stuff there is some on Instagram,check em out if you like.been enjoying your videos you have good taste and know that you are talking about, good on you man,I actually really want to take more advantage of this modern technology,lol. Take it easy mate.
