Prelude in C sharp minor by Evgeny Kissin. Immediately recognized it, his version is by far the most expressive, competing with Emil Gilels he is, in my opinion, the best pianist of all time

Omg I came here to find a new piece for me to play (as a junior) and the first piece is the immediately recognizable piece my sister played competitively for two years (junior and senior) ha what a small musical world

like it! but i would suggest you also check out composers like stenhammar and alkan. stenhammar op.11 no.1 and alkan op.39 no.2,7,8 to name only a few examples.

Is #4 the song played in Roger Rabbit when Daffy Duck and Donald Duck are dueling? Parts of it really sound like it! On another note, this is fabulous and I wish it was 6 hours long haha! Thank you very much!!!!
