Who is your favorite Renaissance Composer, and why? Feel free to leave it down in the comments.

se me es muy dificil entender la musica de antes de los 1900 porque no se como publicaban la musica, en el nombre de la cancion hay muchas cosas abreviadas tal vez conozcas un video de youtube que lo explique no importa el idioma

Are you talking about one of the singers? I never heard of a composer named Tea Tisanich.

@@JustinMogollon199 you might’ve heard her alias - theodossia tisanicheva!

2 Suggestions for a possible re-do of this video: 1) have a good-sized "runner-up" section, which might for example, include Thomas Luigi de Vittoria (lol i adore that name but his music is even better!!) and John Dowland., and 2) Include the dates when the composer was actively composing, and possibly their country or region...this type of historical context really adds to videos such as this.

LOVE that you include composers from diverse times and places: the Renaissance is a much larger and longer-lived expanse than most folks realize.

You have great taste in composers! My daughter is doing a badge in music history and we have been listening through your videos as a great introduction to different composers of each era. She loves them. Thanks for your work!

That is so cool. Thank you so much. I am glad you are enjoying them. When you say your daughter is doing a badge in music history, is she a scout or is it a different type of badge?

GREAT picks!! You are definitely a scholar and i respect the depth of knowledge and familiarity with the topic that led to these picks. // One of my most delightful Moments was when an Early Music Ensemble i was in, sang a concert which was mostly Isaac.

Why no John Dowland? His music typifies the Renaissance where as most of the other composers have a mediaeval slant - ‘churchy’ rather than secular!

I counted him in the Baroque era (as he was born in the Early Baroque era), so that is why he is not there. He is good though, and even though he was not on my Top 20 Baroque composers list, he was close.

Can you also list the names of the pieces that you excerpted by each composer? That would be great - thanks!

You can actually find the name of those pieces on the History of Classic Music, Renaissance Composers that I made before this.
