Can you do a lesson about how to sweep pick on bass? (with fingers) I never saw you do such a thing but it would be very interesting My english is not perfect
I'm actually teaching a student how to play this song on a 4-string at the moment! This part is OK, but some of the later sections are very challenging.
Great work, as usual Stuart! Sorry if you've answered this previously, but does having flat-wounds vs. round-wounds make an appreciable difference, tone-wise, in a piece like this? I've been thinking of putting round-wounds on my 6-string bass, but have only had flat-wounds until now. I use round-wounds on my 4-string. I like the slide-ability of the flat, but not sure they have enough pop.
Yes, it'll makes a huge difference! Flats are great for certain things, but for slap bass - particularly lines like this - you'll need round wound strings. Hope that helps.
@@StuartClayton I took your advice and put round wounds on my Carvin 6 string bass. What a difference! That was exactly what I needed. I went with DR Lo-Riders this time. It feels and sounds like a new bass. Thanks man!
