I really appreciate your input. I am just a pond hopping grandfather who fishes from the bank so, anything I can learn to help teach my grandson is GREATLY appreciated!!! Thank you!!
Buy a the biggest broken back Rebel. It has big hooks and you don't need a net. A pond lure that will show you the biggest bass in a pond. I don't allow myself to fish ponds because of that lure.
I took my son for his first fishing trip and tried the bait you suggested and we had the best day of our lives together!thank you for doing this for us!
It’s great to watch your videos, it is like sitting there with you and talking to you. Thanks for all the great information.Have a great year and God bless you and your family
Thank u for all your help and knowledge. Your show is simply the best. Caught my first bass on a practice plug that came on my Zebco 202 whe I was 7 been going ever since. 63 now. U guys have always been my heros
Just fully retired after 28 years active duty Air Force and 15 years working for the Air Force as a Government Service employee. So after 42 years I can fish more and more. Love watching all your videos. Just hope to put more techinto action now. Thanks 4 sharing your knowledge. I have always done that through my Air Force career!
Another great video E, really appreciate you taking the time. I have to say Berkley has really stepped up there game. So many great baits. I scored some Stingers last summer it caught some fish solo and as a trailer on several baits. Cheers
You always help me to "think out of the box" especially when fishing behind other anglers. Your insite on fishing tips is #1 from all other pro tip video channels.
Always enjoy your content and your updates on new baits. I started fishing again last June after taking a 20 year break. You’re helping me catch up in the game and I appreciate it.
The end of February and March has always been the easiest months for me to catch fish. But I have struggled these few weeks. So big thanks for this month's tips.
I fish central Oklahoma. Weather here has been so crazy it feels like the bite changes by the minute. I was on a reaction bite for an hour or so, it slowed down and I had to fish slow and suspended. Hour later, reaction bite was back on lol
Been struggling the last month or so, which leaves me with no content for my little you tube channel. Going to try those suggestions you gave. GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON
Always love these monthly bait vids. Gives me other choices I might not consider. That small swimbait and swim jig would work great in my pond and the Cull Shad would be great at the lake for imitating a big gizzard Shad. Thanks Edwin.
Love the channel!! I am going to check out those powerbaits and start throwing them. I liked and subscribed to the channel today. I will be throwing the swim jig tomorrow. :)
As always I get so much information, keep up the great work and the best of luck for the rest of the season. Hope to see you at REDCREST(Lay Lake, Birmingham, Ala.) . How about doing something on fishing the Harris Chain in Florida, I know it's a big area and I'm just looking for a place to start? Proverbs 16:3
In upstate NY. March we have some ice still but like you said the water temps can spike within a week. Right at ice out we are throwing jigs, squarebillin, spinnerbaitin. And a big swimbait bite is always in play
Swimbaits and Swimjigs... 2 lures I've rarely used... Swimbaits mainly because the stained water here in North Missouri.. I guess I never thought they'd work. Great info! I'll be trying them now!!
Just re-watching this video as well as last years best baits for March video. I like to compare and see what you were into last year. Just got a boat at the beginning of winter and I'm looking forward to getting out the first time this year. And your information is always very helpful
Very informative, Good video Do you have a brother in Fla? Went fishing in the dark last nite, (N.E. Fla) caught a 15" bass on a black, 3" texas rigged paddlefrog, go figure. 👍🎣❤️🇺🇲
I'm a bank fisherman mostly and find it hard to find places to go. In Dec. and Jan., I smashed the bass on your sponsored suspending jerkbait by Xcalibur- XEE4 Blue Nib. Unfortunately, it's no longer made. The bass had eggs in them in January here is Louisiana.
Good Morning Edwin! I received a complement of cull-shad in gift box from my Grandkids, and now I know what to do with them! The line-bow is a GREAT TIP. Thank you Sir. Good luck at Lay Lake, I'm cheering for you!
Hello everyone happy fishing. Ed I've been trying my hand at bass fishing, but I haven't got anything yet. I'm hoping I can use some of your tips and tricks to catch me a ole big mouth Florida bass. Thank you for the information and keep it coming. Be Blessed ✌🏾💪🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
Great stuff Edwin!!! Appreciate your help n tips all the time!! Always pulling for you partner!! I’ve never won your package?? Anyways tank time too you🎣🎣🙏
Brother I’ve learned so much watching your videos. Looking forward to getting back out on the water soon and using the tips and tricks you share with us. Best of luck this season God bless
Moved to Summerville S.C. 2 yrs ago and love Bassmaster tournaments. Being from Michigan, fishing in S.C. is a little different with consistently much larger Bass. Thanks for your tips about how water temp dictates the location of Bass. Also, the how-to fish soft plastics swim baits for large spawning Bass. Thanks for all you do. Steven Bunton
All Berkeley, who would’ve guessed that.? Videos like this are really disappointing to me, he’s just regurgitating the same old worn out information that everyone should know if you have been bass fishing for years and should be able to recite from memory. Here’s a video, here’s what my sponsor want you to buy, here’s how to use it. 😩 my obligation for the month is fulfilled. Fantastic work 👍🏻 👀
Most of the fishing videos I watch the guys are further south than me. I’m on the Maryland/ Pennsylvania border. How much further behind should I apply what I’ve learned. Thanks.
I loved your video. I'd never caught a bass on a swimjig until 2 days ago because I lacked confidence in the bait. While fishing with a friend I caught my first bass on a swimjig plus 5 more on my home lake. I'll tell you I don't lack confidence in a swimjig anymore.😊
The spawn is in full swing here in florida and I love throwing big swim baits and would love to try that Cull shad! These videos are so important to help get us on track, thx!
Just watched you last years March video. Then I notice you just dropped this year's. Love to watch and learn from you. March 23 I have a tournament at Bull Shoals. Looking to kick but this year.
Spent a lot of time in your part of the county growing up. Still have family in the area and always enjoy bass fishing at Grand Lake. You just added to my shopping list when I visit BPS tomorrow when they kick off the annual Spring Fishing Classic sale. Planning to put your recommendations and baits to the test in the first club tournament of the year on Lake of the Ozarks in a couple of weeks. Best of luck on Lay Lake. Thanks for sharing, I do appreciate you.
Here in north San diego I'm catching Bed fish by the middle of March .I like the way your 6in swim bait holds well under a real slow retrieve.. I havnt had the opportunity to fish with the Cull Shad.but I'm thinking about ordering one.6in is the size I've been looking for ..
Never caught a bass on a swim jig. Hoping your advice on reel speed will help. Always used 7+ reels. Line twist, etc. Guess the speed is the problem. Many thanks. Hey to family.
Love the videos, especially your explanations of technique/retrieve with selected baits. I’d like to suggest placing a lower third graphic of the name of the lures/baits when showing them…I couldn’t make out what the first bait was called. ❤
Watched the video again and still learned more. Your presentation is very down to earth and simply to understand so thanks very much I will be coming back for more vids. Also just wanted you to know that I fish from the bank only but I still apply your techniques and they work, I have been catching them!!
I'll be tuned in watching for yah to cross the finish line come May 5. Stage 4 gonna be all you Edwin. Well, right after you take that Redcrest trophy from Connell's backyard.
Thanks Edwin I’m looking forward to trying these baits! I live on LayLake and as you have described the back of the creeks is 62 to 65 and the mouths is 56 to 58! Love your content! Keep it up
Really like your videos really like that.Cold s***, that's a that's a nice bait. You showed off appreciate your show.Good luck on your fishing tight lines
I really need to give the larger soft plastic swimbaits a chance. I've tried some jointed swimbaits and had some luck. I love the bluegreenpumpkin craw color too. Thanks for giving these suggestions and sharing your knowledge! Good luck this season. Most of all thanks for living out your faith!
I was absolutely thrilled when I went to my local tackle shop and finally saw some Cull Shad, bought a couple and looking forward to getting out this weekend... chucking and winding... Good Luck on Lay Lake! #FISHOKIESTRONG
Great advice for pre spawn bass. I haven't tried any of those lures myself. I live in Northern Kentucky. Do you think those lures would work in my area, too? I would love to know. Thanks in advance.
I respect Edwin Evers and he’s an accomplished professional fisherman but he only shows Berkley I would bet you a million dollars if you could see his tackle box it’s not only Berkley . It’s pretty cool they give baits away it’s all about marketing let’s get real . I prefer content that’s not bias . That’s just me 😊
Oh wow I just found your channel and I am pretty excited after watching this video to see more of your videos! I love the information and the details you shared as I am trying to learn and improve my skills/techniques. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Season is on for me! Subscribed!
Thanks for the video. I just bought my 1st CullShad the other day. Can't wait to throw it on our kayak season opener on Table Rock this weekend. Hopefully, the fish will cooperate.
I absolutely love fishing a swim jig and it catches quality fish. It is that time of year to catch a big one! I already have a couple 18s and several 16s smallmouth in the kayak this year. I'll keep hammering away this month and hopefully put a 20 in the boat.
Absolutely 100% ready to get out there this year. Got a ton of berkely gear, and it simply catches fish! Thank you for doing these videos. I've put more fish in the boat with your help. 👍🏻
I bought 2 of the cull shad last weekend and really fished the hell out of them. I caught one on each one and they inhaled it, love the action of that bait. To me it's way better than the magdraft. Can you get them to make more colors in like the color of that stinger and maybe even a 5 inch version would be really good too. My best bait this time a year is by far a weightless black emerald baby brush hog. I caught 2 on the cull shad and 14 on the baby brush with almost all of them over 3 lbs. It's killer in the grass and around cypress trees, 30lb braid, 4/0 offset hook, twitch twitch pause and they destroy it. Try my tip it works! Good luck on your next tournament and great video.
Hi Edwin. Thank you for making these videos every month. They’ve really helped me out a lot. Do you have any videos on how you fish a tube? A lot of folks around me use them and I’m not the greatest with them so any help would be appreciated. Thank you, stay safe and God bless!
I've watched you for years on TV. I have a tournament on Lake Murray in 2 weeks and going to get a Cullshad and some more swim jigs today! Thank you so much for your insight and tips to help a self-taught tournament fisherman like myself. I always appreciate your videos and watch them as soon as they come out!
😊 E2, good luck at Redcrest Champ...... as always your videos are informative. Cant wait to see you on the stage with that trophy. Go gettem Edwin #GoE2Go
Hey great video on explaining when and where to throw these baits. I’m from up north in New Hampshire so it’s still a little chilly but warming up quickly with this unusual weather. These baits will be a player in a few weeks. Looking forward to the next one and good luck out there 🎣💪🏽
Great and these baits make you slow down the retrieve. Subtle and your explanation of color makes these techniques good especially on heavily pressured lakes I fish. Would love to go behind a fling and crank then catch a nice fish. Thx for input!
Watch all your videos, thanks for all the great tips and bait ideas. I live near Greer’s Ferry in Arkansas so I probably fish it more that anything else and most of your techniques work well for me there. Thanks again and look forward to watching you fish your next event. Thanks, JP
Hi Edwin. Love your videos. I've learned so much from you. Love watching you fish. What's your thoughts on red crest. Hope you put the smack down on them. Iam sure you have did your homework on redcrest. Good luck God bless
Another great video and information. I am ready to throw that swim jig. It’s one of my favorite baits in the spring. Thank you again for taking the time to make your videos.
My high school boys and I love your informative videos. They just fished a high school tournament on Toledo bend fish were both shallow and in pre-spawn areas. We used some of your February tips and the boys caught a pretty nice bag!
Yeah I've always tried to catch a bad on a big swimbait but never have. I catch them on everything else. I've used a mag draft 6th sense and still no luck. Thanks for the tips and good luck in your upcoming tournament. 🎣🤙
I noticed that swim baits are getting very popular versus the tube jig I don't see very many tube jigs anymore being sold I'm going to try it and see how it works. I have three fishing tournaments on Mississippi River and Missouri will have Long branch. I always enjoy watching
Woot woot!! Spring is rite around the corner brother. Im in NJ not the great state of Oklahoma unfortunately. Thanks for the tips we appreciate you. God Bless
As a fellow Okie fisherwoman, i am so excited for the month of May. Hopeful that this will be my year for a double digit largemouth. Im gonna try each one of these lures that you have suggested. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I enjoy watching your videos. These are three baits that aren't my first go to baits in spring. I'm usually using a red craw pattern crank bait, chatter bait, Texas rigged craw or worm, or rattle trap. I'll have to give them a try & hopefully catch even more bass. Thanks for the tips.
Great info…always love hearing from you because you’re honest! I fish a lake with less to foot visible water to where guys don’t jerkbait fish much even..that to big swimbaits bone colored line your showed swimbait wise to cloudy days works well!! The power stinger love the waffle style tail, has a lot action, fell shallow that bluegill/ bream color works well for me !!! They don’t see that a lot !!! I love my blade baits but subtle on pressures fish can be key to even going to my clear bladed chatter “stealth” blades …timber lakes the jig and. Reassure bait and blades get seen so much I like something different half the time!! I hear so much different that this ..like seeing outside thinker some and being honest ..that swim jig/ clear stealth blade I see as a similar bait …murky muddy don’t think the stealth won’t work..the swim jig in grass is deadly !!! I like the wire gauge and trimming the skirts is huge. Give room for trailer to play! Scent in murky water is everything when the bait especially sets at all. The max scent baits are some my favorites ..thanks for the info Edwin! Reminding me alot of what I need to do .. spending a lot on advancements on my boat …my fav time is march here in Kentucky ..caught my biggest bass 3 years straight ..fish year around ..that subtle finesse vibrating clear blade hammer to a swim jig clearer amen! My boxes got holes in em..good luck Edwin and as always keep giving good info out !!!
Hey Mr Evers! I said hello to you at Packs landing on santee the sunday morning before your event started! it was exciting to even see you and Mr DeFoe. Sorry things didnt work out there, im still trying to figure it out aswell. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thank you for always giving us ideas on how to be successful on the water. Your analysis is very thorough and much appreciated! Good luck this year! Caliman out! ✌🏼
Love the speed tip further cull shad. That's really helpful. I'm going to force myself to catch bass on a swim jig this year as well. I never have figured it out. I know that sounds crazy!
Really like all the tips and tricks you always provide us with!!!! I screenshot the baits during your videos then go straight to academy to buy them lol!!!!! I’m waiting for you to give away an invite to come fishing with you hahahaha
Let's gooooo March brings in more muddy water as well would you still stick with these 3 or would you make adjustments too more flashy and bulky baits? Thank you Mr. Edwin
Great video. I appreciate the information for this time frame. Would I be correct in assuming here in Ohio that we are going to be about a month to month in a half later? I absolutely agree with needing to throw something different. Since Covid, our lakes here in central Ohio are ridiculously heavily pressured.
